@celiambrowne I don't know if your phone will do this but here is how I copy. First, I take a screen shot. On the bottom of that screen shit, for a few seconds it will allow me to scroll down ( it has a small bouncing arrow pointing down in a bix at the vottom of the screen shot). I tap that arrow, then scroll, tap the next arrow, then scroll, and co tinge just like that till you get the whole recipe. Then, beside the bouncing arrow, there's kind of a square box -- tap that and it allows you to square off the whole picture you've saved -- so if you tapped a little too far down, for instance, you can just square your picture up, cutting off the bottom part. I have a Samsung Note 20. Good luck!

this recipe has been on a number of youtube channels.......... it has several issues.... 1) you have to be careful not to cut your cabbage too thick or too thin...... many people complained because the cabbage was under-done while the meat was over-cooked.....2) I know Scandinavians and Germans spice their meat with nutmeg, but for the love of all things holy, American cooks.....do not put 5g of nutmeg in your ground beef....... it is overwhelming! maybe a pinch, at most.
As stated by guthdarren for the best results with the cabbage & onion precook it 400° oven for 6-10. I would like to add an addendum that oiling the baking parchment under the cabbage and not solely relying on the oil spread on the top to filter through the cabbage gives better even cooking. This is a personnel preferance but we like to use medium dice onions rather than sliced disks of onion, giving more even coverage and we add alot of onion as we like it. For the meat patties you press into the top of the cabbage I like to make them alittle bigger than the cabbage slice, this allows for shrinkage as well as the juices and fat from the patty seeping and melding with all of the cabbage. to press the meat we put the plastic bag in a 25cm/10" tortilla press, if you use a tortilla press please remember to spin the patty or tortilla for that matter 180 degrees and do a second gentle press to insure even thickness. By there design the single pivot point of the tortilla press will make the end nearest the hinge thinner than at the lever end, the spinning and gentle press is the easy quick method to even tortilla's or anything else you press. This is a good simple, frugle and tastey recipe. Thank you for sharing, take care, God bless one and all.

THIS IS NO TRICK, THIS IS A FULL FRICKEN MEAL!! I've just came onto cabbage as a stapple, and I LOVE Hamburger, so I'm deffinently going try this out.. Thank You for the video!!
This is definitely a recipe for a food lover. After you try this, do the medium cabbage steak with a pork steak on top... not a pork chop, (not enough fat.) seasoned however you like. If you want put some thin potato wedges, same width as your cabbage steak, underneath the pork steak. Just make certain no cabbage or potatoes are exposed from under the meat. They will burn if unprotected. Cook on 450° in the PREHEATED toaster oven, place it on a foil lined tray to bake for 12 - 15 minutes. You will impress anyone with the caramelized perfection that you serve. If you need the cabbage or potatoes softer, microwave together in one minute increments until desired tenderness, while allowing the pork steak to rest for five minutes. ❤ I like a bit of bite to mine. Do NOT flip the meat it cooks on both sides in the toaster oven.
I'm also a fan of ground beef & cabbage. My great-grandma used to make cabbage stew when I was little. Ground beef, cabbage, onion , bell pepper, garlic, tomato sauce or paste. That's what I remember. Then I FOUND IT! On another cooking channel, "Home Cook Hero" , Smothered cabbage, cabbage stew recipe. It's easy, simple, not many ingredients, and I'm making it tonight! 😋👍

If there was only one food left on Earth, I pray that it is cabbage, I eat it nearly daily. I'm far too lazy for this amount of diddling with food, plus I have a weak stomach. So, I would absolutely cut the cabbage steaks, place a pork steak on top with a bit of black pepper and red pepper flakes and cook it on my foil lined toaster oven tray. Cook it on 450 in the toaster oven, 12-15 minutes until the meat was caramelized to perfection. Then, I would rub a dab of butter over the meat and shove every bite in my mouth as quickly as possible, because that is one terrific meal. The pork juice flavors the cabbage to perfection. ❤
I LOVE the pace and music. I saved this and put in my iCloud FOOD and Recipes folder. I can refer to it often. Pace gives me time to note ingredients and instructions!!!!!
The burgers could stand a higher temp to brown them. And, there is a lot of onion! Some can’t handle that much. But, with a few adjustments, sounds like it’s worth a try!
Saw that on a youtube video with spring onions a few weeks ago.....cut the end off with the roots, put in the veg potting mix and water well.....started growing within days ! Now I'll have an endless supply lol
I love the idea of the cabbage as the base..its the BEST food for women over 40 to eat..using eggplant rounds would be delish too..got any good BRUSSEL SPROUTS recipes that might even get eaten ???
Slice brussel sprouts in two to three pieces depending on the size, coat in a mixture of olive oil, salt, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, and Cajun seasoning (I prefer Louisiana or Badia). Air fry or bake until tender, usually about 15-25 mins in the air fryer at around 300-350 / preheated oven 300-350 normally takes 10-20 mins / toaster oven is normally about the same as the air fryer. Times will vary depending on your cooking method and how much you make you'll have to experiment to get it just right.
If i were going to try this recipe i'd definitely need to tweak a couple of things specifically the beef and the cabbage. Semi-raw meat (im a well done type a guy) just wouldn't cut it with me nor would the undercooked cabbage, so i would probably simmer the beef patty and cabbage in a covered skillet for a couple of minutes on the stovetop prior to placing it in the oven, and then continue on with the preparation. (For the record im not one of those armchair chefs trying to re-write someone elses recipe, but just offering a tip for those who may not be fond of rare meat and who prefer a softer cabbage)
I'm with ya on the kinda raw looking meat. I mean, I get moments when a medium rare sounds good as long as it's cooked to temp but for the most part nah, I want my meat cooked.
@@rabbitgutz8276 I don't think I've ever seen a commercial or tv cooking show where steak was being prepared that it didn't practically have blood oozing from it. These chefs will talk about making sure you cook your food to the proper temperatures to kill bacteria until a steak comes along. 😄
@@jeffreyb6165 thanks for explaining that to me, I must've missed that when I was in culinary school... With my phone, the meat in the video looks very raw in the middle. Could be my phone but I'm well aware of how to cook steak

Being the world's fussiest eater I have this practice where I never eat anything with more than 5 ingredients. I believe you have far exceeded that. 🤣 In addition I have no cooking skills. What should I do ?
I’m assuming you’re American? I use basic ingredients for everything. But everyone loves my food. Keep it simple. Garlic, salt, pepper for seasoning. If you want to make it ‘fancy’ add some parsley and/or pepper flakes. Olive oil if you need to add some moisture to the food.

Музыка хорошая, релакс, уснула хорошо, проснулась, а ролик все идет, не знала, что "концерт" надолго, а так хотелось увидеть конечный результат рецепта....
The biggest thing I'd be concerned with is that there would be a LOT of grease coming from the beef patties which would soak right in to the cabbage! I think it would be better to cook the cabbage and meat separately and the added bonus would be that you could cook them both till they were actually cooked. The meat is too pink and most people are saying that the cabbage doesn't cook through properly 😕
I’ll just say, if you buy quality meat from a trusted source, pink is fine depending on your taste. I love my grilled burgers medium rare, no more, and remember steak tartare, very popular in Europe and finer restaurants here, is just fresh “ground beef”. And I would note the meat rare as it is would not render too much fat on the cabbage. Agreed it would not seem to me the cabbage is cooked much, but cole slaw is raw cabbage and the Japanese routinely eat raw cabbage in salads, as do other cultures. So it wouldn’t bother me. Doneness of quality meat and most veggies is really personal taste.
I posted above that I wonder if pre-cooking the cabbage a little bit might avoid the problem. Maybe 20 minutes on the cabbage, and then put the meat patties on top. Good morning when I get a chance to try it, this is what I will do. Although I don’t mind raw cabbage as I add it to my salads all the time so partially cooked one is not unappetizing to me.
Healthy fat is good for you If you use good-quality beef it contains more Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) unlike corn fed cattle allotment beef which is usually the cheapest option at the grocery store.
For example - they didn't have to show seasoning every round of cabbage, grating all of the zucchini, etc, etc. Some edits would have made this shorter and better.
Toast a couple of large hamburger buns.. make it a cabbage burger with a side of carrots and zucchini slaw.. and of course an ICE COLD beer to wash it down.❤❤❤

Слюнки потекли❤❤❤!! Это то, что надо!!
I LOVE the pace and music. I saved this and put in my iCloud FOOD and Recipes folder. I can refer to it often. Pace gives me time to note ingredients and instructions!!!!!
Что то ввиде голубцов. Выглядит очень аппетитно, думаю стоит попробовать. Спасибо!❤
Thank you for the good idea of the cabbage,, I'm going to make this ,,❤ i love cabbage and onions together
The burgers could stand a higher temp to brown them.
And, there is a lot of onion! Some can’t handle that much.
But, with a few adjustments, sounds like it’s worth a try!
I adapt recipes to my family’s preferences. Easy enough to do with this one too.
Exactly! Every cook adjusts to personal preference.
Why would you want to over cook the hamburger? Strange comment
Yes looks great, but the onion would kill my stomach for 24 hours. With that said, it's still a great recipe.
An elegant vid done with style and a wonderful music accompaniment.
Keep the root end on the onion to slice it. This Keeps it from falling apart as you cut it. Put root end in the garden and grow another
Saw that on a youtube video with spring onions a few weeks ago.....cut the end off with the roots, put in the veg potting mix and water well.....started growing within days ! Now I'll have an endless supply lol
Absolutely. I also replant ends of celery. They come right back
I love the idea of the cabbage as the base..its the BEST food for women over 40 to eat..using eggplant rounds would be delish too..got any good BRUSSEL SPROUTS recipes that might even get eaten ???
Hi how come cabbage is good for women over 40? Do you have any ideas of what to do with cabbage besides cabbage rolls?
Slice brussel sprouts in two to three pieces depending on the size, coat in a mixture of olive oil, salt, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, and Cajun seasoning (I prefer Louisiana or Badia). Air fry or bake until tender, usually about 15-25 mins in the air fryer at around 300-350 / preheated oven 300-350 normally takes 10-20 mins / toaster oven is normally about the same as the air fryer. Times will vary depending on your cooking method and how much you make you'll have to experiment to get it just right.
I like my Brussels sprouts dipped in batter and deep fried! (Tempura batter🙂).
@@megchow8245 read this tried it in the air fryer then deep fried like it both ways, delicious...
@@rhinox0110...I roast minev(Brussels) with a little Olive oil, Parmesan, Salt and Pepper and Balsamic Glaze.
Stop complaining!! Love it.❤
Amen to that honey,
If i were going to try this recipe i'd definitely need to tweak a couple of things specifically the beef and the cabbage.
Good idea.
That'll be me, thanks I'll try that, and without the nutmeg
I thoroughly enjoyed your video, I liked the music juxtaposed with the tension of what was going to happen next and the unexpected turns, concluded to a happy and satisfying ending 10/10 well done!
You do make it look good! ❤❤
This looked so good but I missed the middle, I fell asleep during the relaxing music 🎶🎵😂🤣
😂😅
С огромным удовольствием просмотрела и прослушала Ваше видио ролик. Полный Релакс! Музыка великолепна!
Я тоже уснула
Уже приготовили?
I am definitely going to try this recipe, it looks delicious! Thank-you❤
Might be best to par boil the cabbage or give it a blast in the air fryer ☺
Pretty sure parboiling the cabbage would make it fall apart.
@@jeffellis6544of course! The cabbage cooks very well in the oven!
Need the cucumber salad recipe. Looks so good!
It's literally in the video.
Interesting idea, it looks delicious. Thank you for the inspiration
❤❤
Being the world's fussiest eater I have this practice where I never eat anything with more than 5 ingredients. I believe you have far exceeded that. 🤣 In addition I have no cooking skills. What should I do ?
I’m assuming you’re American? I use basic ingredients for everything. But everyone loves my food. Keep it simple. Garlic, salt, pepper for seasoning. If you want to make it ‘fancy’ add some parsley and/or pepper flakes. Olive oil if you need to add some moisture to the food.
You should probably learn how to either cook or get over it.
I think the yogurt sauce should be put on after the hamburger cooks til done. I don't like that when she cut into it, it was still pink.
that's what I thought too, seems a little gross to cook it
That’s meat is super undercooked
That's what I said 😊
Meat was perfectly cooked
Cooking any beef makes it tough and dry. These were cooked medium, which is enough. Well done burgers are gross.
This is different. I might try this. I’m big on my meat being brown & well done, so I would just let mine cook a little longer
Place under brolier to brown more.
When you want cabbage rolls but are too tired!! This is winning!!
I fell asleep half way through the recipe 😂music is too soothing for cooking lol. I had to rewind it. Yummy yummy made me hungry👍 will def try

Surely that would ruin it
This is so, cool. I love different foods & Cultural Foods & I love to try new Recipes & Foods. I love all the Ingredients. So, I am sure I will love this. I want to make it one day for sure. He learned this trick in a restaurant! He's never eaten meat so delicious! He makes this recipe twice per week! He no longer shops at stores! Few people cook food this way! Lecker schnell ! Lecker schnell !!!
😂
Are you having a stroke?
@nika4843 Possibly, and your response time is terrible! You want to get the victim to the hospital within minutes. Lecker schnell!
This looked amazing! How do you clean the cabbage? Do you just clean the outside? Sorry, I've never prepared anything other than cabbage that was chopped.
Hummm todo parece delicioso y ni tan difícil. Hay que experimentar.
I tried this with my husband tonight... Or he tried and I cooked them are with him lol.
I appreciate the comments regarding the meat being dry. I added the chives, then diced some baby portos and blended with meat. The meat was tender and delicious, not dry at all.
Благодарю Вас за прекрасную музыку! Рецепт замечательный!!
Beautiful, relaxing vidoe. Really great recipe. Thank you so much for sharing a new recipe. Cannot wait to make this for dinner today :) I am a long time cook and appreciate the details and care you are sharing for all ages and those with various cooking experiences. Hvala sto radite sa rukavicama- 😮❤
Like a ballet of cooking ! Thank you for the sumptuous and relaxing program.
@@Raleigh1boyit’s hamburger. You aren’t supposed to undercook it.
Maybe place on a rack so the grease will drain off.?
I posted above that I wonder if pre-cooking the cabbage a little bit might avoid the problem.
Maybe 20 minutes on the cabbage, and then put the meat patties on top. Good morning when I get a chance to try it, this is what I will do. Although I don’t mind raw cabbage as I add it to my salads all the time so partially cooked one is not unappetizing to me.
Healthy fat is good for you If you use good-quality beef it contains more Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) unlike corn fed cattle allotment beef which is usually the cheapest option at the grocery store.
I would smash this because I love balanced recipes as such!! Great job!!
Somehow the pace of the video is annoying me
There's an option so speed up videos in settings.

Your age maybe?
For example - they didn't have to show seasoning every round of cabbage, grating all of the zucchini, etc, etc. Some edits would have made this shorter and better.

Toast a couple of large hamburger buns.. make it a cabbage burger with a side of carrots and zucchini slaw.. and of course an ICE COLD beer to wash it down.❤❤❤
I had this dish in Northern Greece and it was wonderful!
Have you tried this with KohlRabi instead of Cabbage? I once had a sandwich of Deli meats and chesse using thin KohlRabi a the 'bread' and it was So delicious I feel liek this would also be idea for using KohlRabi as well.

Always thinking of new ways for hamburger because it's such a dull meat. Thank you for who ever thought of this one.
