      For the egg bake, try adding extra egg white to add more protein and less calories.

      Difficult but not impossible. Starting the weight strengthening exercises. I can't say I am looking forward to them. But we have to do what we have to do. Just feeling as I used to keeps me going. 🎉🎉

      @@rachelgustafson1207 Thank you! I’m 58 and feel a lot better than I have in a long time. My body works better for me and I experience less pain, I have more energy, I sleep better, and cravings and hunger are very diminished. It’s all been so impactful. 👍

During this season of weight loss as the prioritized goal, I’ve mainly been doing very low carb with the focus on vegetables, meat, other healthy protein, and healthy fats. I have been very disciplined about the whole thing since I know from experience that “cheat meals” or “cheat days” truly spell trouble for me. I also generally eat two meals a day between noon and six or seven (as often as possible). I work on the mental aspects as well, based on my history and areas of difficulty. I listen to a number of people on UA-cam who know a lot more than I do about nutrition and wellness. They don’t all agree with each other but I’ve learned a lot over time and continuing to listen helps to reinforce my goals.
      Just jump in! You’ve got this! It’s totally worth it!

    I’ve been making your high protein French toast recipe for a few months now and it’s become a new favorite!! So easy and delicious!! I love it drizzled with a little almond butter, syrup and fresh berries! I’m a registered dietitian so thank you for sharing delicious and nutritious recipes!!

    I love the veggie egg bake and the cottage cheese pancakes. I make them on the regular. I’m intrigued by the savory oatmeal and must try that next. I know they will be delicious.

    i love your recipes. I just need to find a way to make them in smaller servings. It's only my husband and me. Often he doesn't eat anything and I don't want to waste it. Your book is amazing. I highly recommend it.

    You've been helping me a lot. I'm very close in age to you and I've been working with a naturopath who told me to have a lot more protein. Though I love and eat meat, it's been a challenge to get enough protein. I had no idea there were so many protein options until you've shown so many recipes. I made your banana bread and it was great. I also really like your pumpkin protein pancakes. I've also made the chocolate protein smoothie you have in this video. I add actually some espresso to it and it tastes like Starbucks mocha cookie crumble! :) Thanks for what you do!

    The French toast was delicious. I didn't have protein powder, I used collagen powder instead, added vanilla extract and pureed squash. They didn't turn out golden though, they seemed to burn more. Ill have to use a lower temp for longer next time.

    Dani, I just made those protein packed pancakes and wow!!!😮. My new favorite pancake topped with fresh maple syrup so delicious and I thank you for this recipe😊 I just love pancakes and now can finally have them healthy!:)❤ on a quick note can the leftover batter be store in fridge?🤔of course if there is any😊

    It would have been better if LMNT would’ve offered the sample pack to try first instead with a purchase.
    For those of us who have not tried this brand, at least we would know what flavors to purchase in the future….

    Great recipes as usual! Just as a side note, I guess swapping almond milk with soy milk would bump up protein a little bit on the smoothie.

    I usually struggle to eat breakfast because I drive to work at 5:40 a.m., and sometimes, I get immediately busy when I get to work.
    I’m getting in the habit of planning my meals ahead of time, and your channel has been a lot of help. Likewise, I also do weight training.

      I find planning meals and meal prep to be key for me, so I can relate. Having meals and ingredients prepped ahead makes it so much easier for me to eat well throughout the week.

    There is a protein powder I bought, good quality but I don't like the grainy feel in any drinks I make. Do you have a favorite and do they all have that grainy feel? I'm open to suggestions to boost my protein intake.

    I have such a challenge, my husband is diabetic, lactose intolerant and allergic to treenuts (which includes eggs, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, anything cocoNUT).
    These recipes sound great..... If only.....

      For the French toast? Yes! Usually if I have any leftover - I just pour it over the bread when cooking it so it all gets used.

      Not necessarily! It's a great option for those who work out or are fast in the mornings. I would focus on daily habits of eating whole foods and gentle movement before adding any type of supplement. :)

      You lose a lot of salt when you exercise. I presume LMNT should be for those who exercise regularly. Athletes drink Gatorade and coconut water to replenish their electrolytes, too.

    I love the great protein packed recipes. I understand you make more $$ for your sponsors, but it is very distracting with all the advertisements in between the content. It really diminishes the high quality content and information.

      Absolutely nothing! Whole eggs are super nutrient-dense and very healthy. I use egg whites so often because I am trying to bump up the protein content in my day without bumping my total food intake too high. The egg whites is where most of the protein in an egg lives so its an easy way to add more protein.

      Egg yolks have more calories. If you want more protein, but not more calories, just use egg whites.
