During this season of weight loss as the prioritized goal, I’ve mainly been doing very low carb with the focus on vegetables, meat, other healthy protein, and healthy fats. I have been very disciplined about the whole thing since I know from experience that “cheat meals” or “cheat days” truly spell trouble for me. I also generally eat two meals a day between noon and six or seven (as often as possible). I work on the mental aspects as well, based on my history and areas of difficulty. I listen to a number of people on UA-cam who know a lot more than I do about nutrition and wellness. They don’t all agree with each other but I’ve learned a lot over time and continuing to listen helps to reinforce my goals. Just jump in! You’ve got this! It’s totally worth it!

I made your banana bread and it was great. I also really like your pumpkin protein pancakes. I've also made the chocolate protein smoothie you have in this video. I add actually some espresso to it and it tastes like Starbucks mocha cookie crumble! :) Thanks for what you do!
The French toast was delicious. I didn't have protein powder, I used collagen powder instead, added vanilla extract and pureed squash. They didn't turn out golden though, they seemed to burn more. Ill have to use a lower temp for longer next time.

I usually struggle to eat breakfast because I drive to work at 5:40 a.m., and sometimes, I get immediately busy when I get to work. I’m getting in the habit of planning my meals ahead of time, and your channel has been a lot of help. Likewise, I also do weight training.
I find planning meals and meal prep to be key for me, so I can relate. Having meals and ingredients prepped ahead makes it so much easier for me to eat well throughout the week.

You lose a lot of salt when you exercise. I presume LMNT should be for those who exercise regularly. Athletes drink Gatorade and coconut water to replenish their electrolytes, too.

Absolutely nothing! Whole eggs are super nutrient-dense and very healthy. I use egg whites so often because I am trying to bump up the protein content in my day without bumping my total food intake too high. The egg whites is where most of the protein in an egg lives so its an easy way to add more protein.
I wondered this too and in my learnings and trying to make healthy but still easy enough for me to actually do the work- whole eggs are just easier for me right now. Thanks for asking that question. And thanks for all your great vids Dani!!

Egg yolks have more calories. If you want more protein, but not more calories, just use egg whites.
