Such a different environment from that in the UK
but the beauty and diversity of Nature in Arizona is impressive. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
I'm stunned that you didn't see the Trogons in the front and mid section of that dry creek. Maybe bad timing. Off course, if you stayed long enough you can hear the "bark". Nice videography clarity as usual, the hummingbirds and thanks for driving up to the top of the mountain to see what's up there..
I thought for sure I would see them! I was really bummed but felt better after seeing the Montezuma Quail.
I love the Portal area. Got my first Trogon not 50 yards from the parking area at south fork this past July. Am a bit jealous of the Canyon Wren, still looking for one of those. Great trip and video...enjoyed it !
I really loved it, too. Congrats on the Trogon!
Nice video and looks like a very nice trip! I've been there many times. The warbler at about 16:06 was a Virginia's Warbler. The family of Montezuma Quail was major! Good sighting!!! Looks like you had a great time.
Thank you for confirming the Virginia's Warbler. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great Video. I went in Late May 2024 this year. And will visit again. You saw more species than I did, but I did manage to see the Elegant Trogon briefly. Curious what the temperature there when you visited in August? I would think very hot. Beautiful rugged area of Arizona that I want to see more of and the birds.
Congrats on the Elegant Trogon! The temps were around 100 in the valley and cooler the higher you went. Thanks for watching!
Really love watching your videos! I've been getting ideas for future vacations. Could you please include the time of year you visit these places?
I'm glad you enjoy them! I have the date at the beginning of the video. Thanks for watching!
@@TheBirdingVoyage Now I feel real stupid, I totally missed that!
No worries! I've forgotten several times to put the dates so I made sure this time to get it in there.
First! 😊
Thanks for watching!
@@TheBirdingVoyagelove the Acorn WP and all those hummingbirds! I heard that praying mantis can kill and eat hummingbirds (saw it in the last clip of HB). Congrats on the lifer.
Thank you!
