I've seen all 3 (challenger, Camaro, mustang) dominate each other. Each has their positives and negatives. I've always had a Camaro. That's me. But I love all muscle cars.

Why 5k revs? Too high to launch the car. Try 3500rpm.
Because the car is lacking low end torque. If you launch it in 3500 rpm, it will bog and won’t get out really quick. If you launch at higher rpm and can stay there you are in the powerband. Unfortunately they need drag tires for that. With factory tires its not going to hook up.
@@al151 not true, the 5.0 coyote motor makes plenty of torque and HP.
Truthfully I would not lunch above 3000 to start and see what it does as that's not a dragstrip. The track is not prepped. So 3000 possible 3200 max and that motor can pull to 8000rpm almost especially if returned.
I would never own a stick Mustang or Camaro anymore and I love a stick but that 10 speed auto is way way faster! And traction is much better to.
The auto is about one second faster stock.

Hardly, Tiff is a well accomplished race driver. Including a brief stint in F1 and multiple entries into the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The trick to launching a Mustang is to let the clutch out until it grabs and then nail it.
Lot of Ford fans hurting 😂. Personally I like them both but Chevy is the bigger faster car. Sorry it’s just a fact. If you threw two pros in there it would be closer but still the same. I have drove them both plenty and the camaro is just faster, it’s the torque mostly that separates them.

1.) Launch RPM is WAY too high, and the driver was slow off the line. 2.) The Camaro was the US variant (notice which side the wheel is on) and the Mustang is the UK variant. This may just be camera angles but due to the performance difference I doubt it

That's not a 17. The launch control works great. Besides on the 18 and up the auto is where it's at, drag racing anyway. Bone stock an 18/19 10 speed auto with the pp is a sub 12 car.

yoyo 19 maybe, 727 hp traction is tough, so once it spins the launch control cripples you. With slicks on a prepped track it might work. As in the video it crippled him
yoyo 19 ya I put some Nitto 305’s, they helped but I think I looking for some suspension mods as well. American Muscle suggests BMR drag springs and Viking shocks. I ain’t denying I could use some practice as well

For all you triggered Mustang guys complaining about the driver....well that’s just a little payback from other videos where the Camaro drivers that didn’t know how to drive and yet y’all were all like hahaha Mustang’s are faster. So how does it feel ? Truth is them two cars are pretty much equal (stock) and just depends on conditions and who is driving. I own a 2018 Camaro 2SS 1LE and I’ve raced 3 different stock Mustang GT’s and I beat them by half a car length but that don’t necessarily mean the Camaro is faster, could be the drivers. I’m brutally honest lol as I like all American muscle cars just maybe the Camaro a bit more because they handle better on the track. Also worth mentioning mine is a manual and two of the Mustang’s I beat by half a car length were also manual. One was a automatic and I got him by a fender. The automatics in both cars are a lot easier and generally faster for drag racing but to me they’re not as much fun to drive.
Why race an auto vs a stick ? The auto will win every time. Race on an even field. Auto vs auto or stick vs stick

As much as I like the comedic format of the show, I do wish they would actually work out the kinks by the final run (if that means they do a bunch of runs and edit it to make it look like 2-3 that is fine). Tiff should have gotten at least one run in with the lauch control set properly (likely minimum RPM) just to make it fair.

3k rpm is perfect. The GT makes its power at 3500rpm so it’ll take off as soon as it catches some traction.

I own a 2016 mustang gt. All i have is exhaust and cold air intake and ive race camaros alot and ill tell u this the only who has beat me has been the zl1. All the ss are no match but then again the mustang needs a real driver. By the way the challenger/chargers srt 392s way overrated cant even beat a gt

Nick Jones, I run against everything with my Camaro and it’s usually better than the Mustang but not always, it’s that close and these guys are dragging with manuals and it takes a pro to do well with a stick.

My stang is shit off the line, i blame the tyres, traction control on and it still spins, love the thing though. Im certainly getting different shoes on it when these ones are stuffed. And the camaro is so good, they've shit canned it!!
Basically I'm a camaro guy..and i do watch lots of camaro v mustang videos. The thing is Mustang is a bit quicker than camaro most of the time at drag strips by a millisecond or less, ignoring the wheelspin (camaro has a 6.2L engine producing about 455hp and mustang has a 5.0L motor producing around 460hp i guess). But the camaro is lighter..more agile..and i love those sporty muscular look..Which means the mustang can do nothing over the camaro at the track
Assuming similar gearing & weight, torque will always win.

The MT82 in the Mustang is trash because it has 4 very tall drive gears and two overdrives. The SS with it's Tremec will win every time.
