UPDATE 1 : Many restaurants have increased their prices following the 2022 inflation, so expect prices 20-30% higher than what I say in the video :-)

Can you please tell me how to make reservations for dinner at Aris? We are coming from US so calling on the phone is not an option and their Facebook page does not have hours and the website is for the hotel reservations, not restaurant. We would really like to take your advice and eat at this restaurant. Thank you! We have been planning this trip for months but just found your YT channel yesterday and we are rethinking our itinerary because of your advice.
Same for Naoussa!! We want to dine at your restaurant recommendations but are struggling to find how to reserve. 😊

Hi Sebastian, we've just arrived in Santorini and thanks to your tips all is going smoothly: thank you! We ARE currently eating in Aris Restaurant: great Caldera sunset view and very tasting greek dishes (particularly the lamb, it was awesome!). I have to say that prices are quite higher than expected but... it's worth it! (P.S. I will also try Penelope's ouzery on Sunday ...)

We enjoyed a fine dinner and sunset/caldera view at Onar in Firostefani. If you've never had smoked pork steak (I hadn't), heaven awaits!

Another perfect video with great recommendations. We were in Santorini this week and we had a dinner at Naoussa at sunset - chose it as it looked the most authentically Greek in that part of Thira. It was awesome - the view, local food and the authentic atmosphere including throwing the plates on the ground), really great place and completely fair prices for the location and quality of food and service. :)

@@indranisen5152 Hi, we have not but think we were pretty lucky to find the table it was literally the last one as some people were leaving, would suggest to book it to be sure about the spot. It probably depends on the time of the year as well but as we were walking along in the afternoons now in the mid Sept most of the restaurants were usually full and free spaces usually reserved. Hope this helps 😁

Hi Sebastian. We was in santorini two weeks ago an we had a dinner at naoussa Restaurant at sunset. It was awesome. The view and the food was great. And the Service was good too. (Incl. Throwing the plates on the ground) the atmosphere was very nice and we had a fantastic evening there

We ate a few times at vanilla in firostefani and enjoyed it. The view from the roof terrace was great as long as you got a table next the the caldera view.

We’ve spent weeks looking for a restaurant last May and ended up going go The Athenian House. Had an amazing view of the Skaros Rock with the sunset and the golden Caldera on the side. I found it very pricey though

I will be cruising to Santorini in late October 2023. My wife and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. I will be looking to book one of your suggestions for dinner and a sunset. What time do you recommend we make the reservation for? I want to make sure I'm there for the sunset, but I don't want to get there too early and feel that I'm holding up a table too long.

In October the sun sets around 6:30, so I'd get there at 5:30 if I were you.

I dont think that exists. But all the restaraunts I mention in this video have multiple vegetarian dishes.
Another great video for us! How abou “The Vine”, it seems to have a nice view but not sure about the food, have you tried?

Your videos have been so helpful to me. I forward them to my 3 cruise mates as I found them so informative. We are hoping to enjoy a sunset dinner during our one day stay in Santorini. Sunset is at 7:17 pm on 21 September 2023. So I am thinking we should make the reservations for 6:30 pm. Our ship leaves at 10:00 pm. It is the last ship left in the harbor, according to the website you recommended in a previous video. The ship before us leaves at 9:00 pm. I know from another of your videos that we will need to take the gondola down to the cruise port to catch the tender boat. Any suggestions on what time we should head for the gondola to arrive at the ship without stressing over time? Thanks for all your videos!!!
As a general rule I recommend starting to line up at the cable car in Fira 2h before ship departure. But for you I'd say 1h30 since the line will be shorter based on what you said :-)

My friend messaged me this morning saying that one of our friends going on the cruise was convinced about the conclusion my friend and I came to because of your reply to me. We are waiting to hear from our fourth friend. But she is already outnumbered in the decision, but hopefully she will also agree. We decided to get early evening tenderboat so as to be on the ship in time to enjoy the sunset, cocktail in hand.😁🍸🌅

"Temporarily Closed" because we re still in March. From April, it ll be announced as open once again ;-)

Thanks for your great recommendations. I'm travelling to Santorini in the last week of August, but I'm already excited about it and planning everything. I'm travelling with my girlfriend so at least one night, I want to book a table at a beautiful restaurant with an even more beautiful view.
Which one do you think has the best view between Argo and Aris? (Naoussa doesn't seem to look as good as these two, that's why I'm not mentioning it).
Also what time do you recommend we make the reservation for? I want to make sure I'm there for the sunset, but I don't want to get there too early and feel that I'm holding up a table too long.

@@TiagoDias-iw7hp Correct ! And its a shame ... I've got no other recommendations for Fira apart from Naoussa and Aris. All the other places are super touristy and vastly overpriced.

Hi, We are planning to visit Santorini at the end of June, this year. Your videos are very informative and helpful. Can you pls mention something about halal food option (not seafood) in Santorini. Again, is there any kids friendly restaurant?
Nick the grill is the only one I know that is Halal certified. The majority of restaurants are kid friendly. Just avoid the fancy ones with the caldera view, where couples are trying to have a romantic dinner :D

If you go at sunset time, yes its better to book, even in October :-)
Great recommendations, but I'm a little surprised you didn't include Lycabettus. Just curious, why didn't it make the cut?
Great restaurant but super expensive, a couple of hundreds per person. I might include it one day in a video focusing on fine dining luxury restaurants, but I didnt feel like it was suited for this video :-)

I'm staying in Imerovigli in May. Any reasonably priced restaurants (with a Caldera view) there that you'd recommend? Is Firostefani north of Fira?
All imerovigli restaurants with caldera view are overpriced in my opinion. My fav restaurant in Imerovigli is Anogi, but no view.

Hi we are visiting santorini for my husband's 50th birthday and we are staying in imerovigli can you reccomend a really nice restaurant with a view of the caldera but not over priced.
I'm afraid that doesnt exist ! If you want the view, its either "The Athenian House" or "Five Senses Restaurant", but that's pricey. If you want sthg affordable, it's Anogi or Kofini, but no view. Hope it helps ! :-)
(This is actually why I havent included any Imerovigli restaurants in this TOP 5 ... the ones with the view are so much more expensive then Fira and Firostefani)

It's Santorini's most expensive restaurant, even more than Petra. For unique occasions, it's a great place, but be prepared to spend a considerable amount ...

Dont know ! I always eat a full meal when I go there. Dont know how they would react if you just order drinks.

Hello. In Fira today Nov 7th 2022 for our 35th wedding anniversary. Need romantic nice restaurant for tonight. We are walking so hopefully a place near Porta fira suites. Please help!
Many restaurants are closed for the off season. Naoussa is one of the few ones that remains open during the winter.
