Also a big hint for the gas issues, use water locks for anything that might POTENTIALLY be a pain to deal with. Before even thinking about going into a caustic or slime bio, slap a water lock on there. Maybe 2 if you really want to be safe. Always have water locks at any entrance/exit from your main base, because then any mistakes that do happen (and come on, they always happen at some point) at least aren't going to cause catastrophic collapse of your primary infrastructure.

I love this idea! I really do, luckily I didnt run into this issue for this gameplay, but I DEFINITELY have in the past low. Fantastic advice, thanks for the comment!
I find it easier to just put edges around my water tank's entrance and set it up so it's not directly at the bottom of any ladder wells. No need to worry about containing spills in every room in your base, much easier to just protect the water tank itself.
I love this game, and I'm awful at it. Thank you for this, it's good to have a general idea of how to set up my guys a nice home. Also renaming the dupes for their purpose is such an easy yet helpful thing that just hadn't occurred to me. Until now all I did was rename "Stinky" because I felt bad that he had such a bad name lol.
sameee. I love these type of games. base building, detail management and resource management. but boy am I stupid and terrible at these games. thank god I can pause at any moment
Dungeons of dredmor is like that for me. I get it rolling but then something slips. Never beaten the boss in that, but I got some achievements... I would really learn to bite back at these Klei games. Klei beats me bit too hard, but I wouldn't want to see them doing anything else. It's part of their bling.
Wanted to see what others do in the early game out of curiosity and man, this is really different My order of doing things usually is: fully plumbed bathroom, (germs in my colonies do not get to exist), hydrophonics (why bother with farm tiles?), water sieve system into electrolyzer, cooling pipes with wheezeworts and then I get completely stuck in this almost self sufficient base
I was prioritising the wrong things the whole time - building tiny rooms packed full of stuff, afraid to dig into the water sources, didn't pour the lakes out into one another...
Thank you so much for the intuitive video! I dropped this game pre-launch, so having this to refamiliarize myself with mechanics, as well as learn some tips, was incredibly helpful. Subbed!
We were both in the same shoes then, I had this game a long time ago and it basically felt like I needed to learn the entire game again before being able to make tutorials on it! So glad I could help!
Fantastic video. I thought it was too long when I saw the playtime, but once I started watching I was hooked. You are VERY good at keeping your dialog interesting and on point. I ended up just watching the whole thing. Thanks! Subbed!
@@videogamearchitect7462 Same here. I was curious about the game, since it's on sale and fair-priced. But, I didn't know if it was for me, but this YT channel guy made it (sorry @VGA) really made it look interesting. I am planning to buy it before July 13th when steam sale ends.
i played no sweat my first few runs, survival is easier if you follow a few rules, 1. two diggers at start or one builder one digger you want +8 mole hands or quick learner to make them build faster.. 2 Expand rapidly through the first biome the more you dig the more muck root you have. 4 Add new dupes slowly, wait for the perfect dupe to cook/farm/ ranch and i usually get my fourth dupe as a supplier and let them farm early on. 5. after you have some farms up and some alge making o2 you want to find a water gyser, hopefully its not a cool steam vent you want to be digging and exploring until you find a viable water source so you can build an electrolyzer. (if all else fails dig through slime biomes consolidate the p water and use it for Oxygen. after you have stable food and water you can calculate how much water you have using Oni Gyser calculator to determine your max dupe count. then add dupes put them in a gym for 100 cycles and you have super dupes with 20 athletics and 20 machinery. just basic tips there are a lot more. Depending on map type ranching hatches is number one way to make food early on (start without conveyor systems then add them later one rancher with 7 or more ranching can easily run 4-5 ranches and you need 2.5 hatches per duplicant 7 per ranch)
This is what I was looking for been playing the game since beta. But I just wanted a nice chill play through. Great music choice, helped the atmosphere 👌
Exactly how I intend to keep the energy of this channel! All are welcome and everyone's opinion will be respected or else I will take care of it 😉. @@videogamearchitect7462 that's cool, my friend has a channel with like 50 subscribers or something and there has already been somebody making alternate accounts just to swear through the chat
im sure you know this by now, if you still play but breaking oxylite does nothing, it still produces same amount of oxygen and works fine i mean no reason to bother breaking it unless its really in the way
Thanks for posting this. Been eyeing this game a long time and finally decided to go ahead and purchase. I'm a long-time fan of Klei (Don't Starve and Mark of the Ninja) and am looking forward to my colonies dying slow and avoidable deaths repeatedly while I learn how to play!
I didn't realize how important was the first few days with planning and creating spaces for the colony to grow, my first game I build everything following the shape of the generation and while I managed to stave off hunger and oxygen problems, the more I build on top of pre-existing infrastructure the worse and worse it gets, it got to the point where the most time-consuming activity done by the duplicates was walking. Everything was separated as heck with the pathways between rooms more complicated than the Minotaur labyrinth. Even though this video is 3 years old (as of the writing of this comment), but you still give solid advices. Cheers.
Just bought this game 2 days ago. Made a world to see what this game is all about. All my duplicatants suffocated and died in the first 5 cycles. Tried again. Then everyone got sick from something and died. 10/10 game
I really appreciate the fact that you did this tutorial with actual dupes instead of in dev mode. So many “how to” guides done in dev mode. Feels lazy. This has been very helpful! Question: if you run wiring throughout the base haphazardly, do they lose morale for the aesthetic?
Thank you so much! As a beginner to the game i was struggling a lot to make a good begin and this video was just perfect to help understand the game better
Useful tips! I was always running out of oxygen or not making enough. I didn't realize that every time I added a new duplicant I was using more oxygen. Which sounds so basic but it easy to overlook.
Wow man you really helped me out! I really didnt get far in the game because I was way to minimalist with my constructions, barely creating the space needed for one new thing. I ran out of space, gas pressure and oygen really quick this way. thx. have a happy new year :)
Thanks for the tutorial. Hope to see more. Got yourself another sub and I'm off to watch part 2. I'll save any questions I have until I've finished watching that one because you might already have answered some in that video.
Thank you so much Yri, I very much appreciate the support of the channel, it means a lot! Feel free to ask any questions you want, I will always get back to answer eventually! Cheers!
May be bc the game has updated a lot, but the seed is not at all the same. The pocket above is purely carbon dioxide, there’s a small pocket of oxygen and a large pocket of water below. Most things here aren’t the same
just got this game on sale yesterday, seemed like a lot of fun but ive been struggling to just have a functional start, this video helped a lot, thanks
Thank you so much! I see that you've subscribed, so thank you so much, you're helping me along this UA-cam journey! Cheers, appreciate the support so much!
I've only had this game a day, and i've been afraid to open up space too much because i thought it sapped all the oxygen. i'm already learning so much from this video.
very helpful video thank you so much. my ocd was triggered at the end seeing those two bits of algae or whatever that needed digging right next to the beds and the two farm tiles that were left as copper! XD
What a great tutorial, good work man! Can't wait to get stressed out over acute catastrophes! Thanks for this. I've got to say, not many people are able to keep the verbal aspect of a 50 minute long video informational, and at the same time entertaining. Impressive! Do you by any chance stream? Would love to drop you a sub!

Thank you. I always loved this game but I never played due to the complexity of it. Now I am following your tips and being able to learn how to play. XOXO from Brasil S2
start by putting toilet and bed, start digging but dont dig the oxilite. After that start doing your water reservoi rand when it done build a water pump , build a reasercher table and buil the power to make it work. Reaserch up to meal preparation/ decor/ colony developement / plumbing/power regulation and internal combustion/andvanced reaserch/sound amplifier. Build a stockage whit the technique to keep the food fresh.Build to oxigen maker.Build a farm and but the mealwood seed on it. build a place to rest for the clone whit: tables,a plant and a turn off water cooler ( the power wire filter is in the tool filter on the rigth)
Just picked this up last night and had a blast playing but man I could a used this video then hahahaha. This base is beautiful and very helpful, thanks!
the wiki has a tutorial page to get you started.... but don't be afraid of experimenting by yourself, it's easy and far more rewarding that watching tutorial videos all day instead of playing... you'll soon learn how things work together (but if you are stuck there is nothing wrong in asking for help)
Klei games have a thing for being like "oh you bought the game? cool, now SUFFER" when it comes to tutorials. It's super fun once you get the hang of it, and everyone thinks you're some sort of genius. Perfect to hyperfixate on!
Great video. Your mind is darn quick but I get it, not only are you shit hot at this you encourage quick thinking early game and take the time to explain why certain things are a waste of time. This is all very clean. I got ONI after loving Rimworld and some of the online content for that is painful as its purely luck of the draw instead of an actual tutorial. Good work and happy new year.
Something to mention: "DIG" orders - a dig order will remove a (non-constructed) solid tile, causing half that tile's mass to drop as a resource. "DECONSTRUCT" orders - a deconstruct order will remove a constructed item and return the resources used to make it. (digging oxylite will not simply delete the oxylite, but will cut the amount in half, so you are halving the amount of stored oxygen you will receive after the dig is completed.) The materials will drop in the area they were dug/deconstructed from, and they will fall until they land on something solid. (some material tiles such as sand and snow will also fall if the tile below them is removed) I often use this to my advantage by digging out 2 or 3 floors of space, then come back and place the tile floor on the top floor first (all materials over where I will be digging out and placing a floor will then fall to the "floor" below, then repeat on the next floor down, so the materials fall to the lowest floor, making less debris in the upper floors [decor] and consolidating materials on the lower floor to make collecting for storage or use simpler.
If you're new to this game and don't want to restart multiple times like I did, watch this. Yes it's long but it will save you potentially 10s of hours of wasted play time! Great video!
Building you farm area so far up will quickly get you problems with temperatures. Also no sinks will get you dupes to get food poisoning. You have so much water,...
Great video. I've never seen someone properly play this game, and I've been playing it for about 30 hours total, so you showed me a lot of new things I'd never considered before lol. Maybe I won't starve to death for the 4th time in a row now
One remark I want to make (quite late, I'll grant you that, but still applicable and relevant) is that stress reactions should be considered when selecting new dupes. Having a vomiter as a cook is, as I've experienced at least once, not the greatest choice. When the stress kicks in, you don't want a vomiter near any food whatsoever, because they can and likely will spread germs throughout the colony. It takes a very astute player that barely makes any mistakes at all for that not being a problem (unless the game mechanics have changed in that aspect over the last three years)
This is very helpful, even though I don't have the game, but I really enjoy someone playing this game and as soon as I get a platform to play the game I will play this game because I am interested in this game
Have a like sir! I really like the aesthetics of the game and it is in my favourite building/managing genre, but even with heafty experience with Factorio/Satisfactory/DSP I was completely lost in this game as you get a lot of stuff very early game and it's hard to see what's really important first vs what can wait. I don't like watching game guides because exploring it all yourself is part of the fun, but for this game it was very much needed :)
Dude, when you made the little "cellar" for the rations box, I literally got up and ran over to my fiance's office where he's currently playing KSP to explain how freaking genius that was! I used the CDOX settling to keep the toxic fumes contained for my water treatment septic tanks but didnt think of using it in the reverse to keep OX /out/ and away from the rations container. Big duh for me since nearly all my work exp has been with food srv...acidity/PH, moisture content and AIR contact determine the best environments for bacteria growth :')
Thanks for showing us how this game works. I'm looking for something simple to play during my off-time that's not a long drawn-out adventure (like Mass Effect or something). I usually play Risk or Tharsis, but this looks good too. And, it's on sale now, so I think I'll dive in and try it out.
Great Tutorial! I just picked up the Game and love it. One Question though: Wouldnt it be good to sprad out the oxygen Diffusors around different levels to speed up the spread of Oxygen? Or is it not worth it because the travel time to refill them increases?
Got bored by my other games. Remembered ONI that I've tried a year ago but got overwhelmed.Did a google search "ONI 2021" and stumbled across your videos. Thank you so much for the positive criticism without being rude and extra, truly refreshing in the UA-cam world lol! And its definitely noted, made sure to turn it down in part 2! Sorry for making it a bit more difficult to hear in this one, shouldn't happen again! Cheers!

your BEST 3 dupes to start ... are a researcher ... suit wearing is nice and so is supply BUT max research is better as it means they get the stuff you need early done fast ... the other 2 you need them to have dig AND build EACH ... and they level dig then supply then operate then build then dig and build to max ... your next dupe at cycles 3 is a supplier or farmer ... supply needs building lvl 1 and supply and operate max ... they can also work as a farmer cook as well untill you get a farmer rancher ... in all you need 8 dupes ... a researcher a cook ... 2 building diggers ... 2 farming ranchers ... 2 supplying engineers ... also first research is ALWAYS the first 2 on the tree ... so you get the green farm tile fast .. lay 12 of these down ... and plant at least 4 at the start of a day ... then you always have 4 producing food ... once you get a kitchen ... cook the meal lice into lice loaf ... as it uses less meal lice for the same gain as 3 meal lice ... and they like the loaf better ... after farming your ext research should be the super computer and then gas all the way to the yellow door and then water all the way to the wall toilet ... these give you the ability to move excess bad gases out and poor placed water into your water pit . the very first things to build on day one ... a sink and toilet pair x 2 ... and a pitcher pump best is 3 sinks ad 3 outhouses leave a 2 wide gap for a shower at the front and a 2 wide at the back for a sink ... behind which a door to the compost room and that side of the map outside of the base ... this way the bathroom becomes a germ and air lock ... best basic airlock to use is the greya manual door the yellow auotmated door and a second grey door ... the yellow door opens and closes slower than the grey ones ... when NOT powered so it traps gases and water inside and destroys them ... a true airlock adds another yellow and grey door for a 5 door pass through ... the handy part is the bathroom then is the exact same size as a dormitory for 8 beds for dupes ... or any room for that matter sinks are always at 8 and toilets at 9 for priority ... so they get looked after soonest . as for preselecting priorities enable nearby work and Attack, Toggle, Life Support, Operate, and tidy ... so the dupes will always look after the group first ...
a flatulent dupe is not a bad trait ... they take 30 cycles to start being a concern for gas buildup ... and 60 turns to get a useful amount of gas ... which can be used for power ... bad traits like unconstructive are also not so bad ... your reasoning is extremely flawed ... you are looking at the math only ad NOT the usage as well ... which you MUST do or else you are forced to min max everything and keep changing things often ... while the other way you set it and forget it
outhouse and no sinks ... buggered at the start ... all your worry about bad gases ... and you place bad gas makers without any way to clean dupes after them .... always sink each toilet ... either 3 sinks in a row followed by 3 toilets ... or 4 or 2 ... it is MANDATORY ... on the first turn ... beds can come after the full bathroom and compost room is built ... usually about cycle 15 ...

I find it easier to just put edges around my water tank's entrance and set it up so it's not directly at the bottom of any ladder wells. No need to worry about containing spills in every room in your base, much easier to just protect the water tank itself.
a door sandwiched between edge tiles that eventually get turned into vent tiles is my go to.
The realest in the game. 358k views most slept on UA-camr. Absolute G
Respect fam!
Wanted to see what others do in the early game out of curiosity and man, this is really different
My order of doing things usually is: fully plumbed bathroom, (germs in my colonies do not get to exist), hydrophonics (why bother with farm tiles?), water sieve system into electrolyzer, cooling pipes with wheezeworts and then I get completely stuck in this almost self sufficient base
Digging up Oxylite loses no oxygen. I was surprised when I learnt that. Mass is halved, but chunks on the ground give twice as much.
Thanks! Subbed!
Thank you so much! Mean so much!
@@videogamearchitect7462 Same here. I was curious about the game, since it's on sale and fair-priced. But, I didn't know if it was for me, but this YT channel guy made it (sorry @VGA) really made it look interesting. I am planning to buy it before July 13th when steam sale ends.
"doing survival because we don't want it to be too easy" Me, always playing on No Sweat and can't get anywhere. 😖
i played no sweat my first few runs, survival is easier if you follow a few rules, 1. two diggers at start or one builder one digger you want +8 mole hands or quick learner to make them build faster..
Feel ya
This is what I was looking for been playing the game since beta. But I just wanted a nice chill play through. Great music choice, helped the atmosphere 👌
Such an amazing guide and such a low subscriber count. That is really disappointing.
I like how supportive everyone is, all 18 comments are so nice even though he such a small channel
Exactly how I intend to keep the energy of this channel! All are welcome and everyone's opinion will be respected or else I will take care of it 😉. So far I've been blessed enough that I haven't had to ban anyone or remove any comments really, so we are building a really awesome community so far! I intend on that never changing 😉
Cheers.
Watching this at the end of 2021 I can in deed say it was not a much better year. Sorry. But thank you for your video and a good start to 2022
Just bought this game 2 days ago. Made a world to see what this game is all about. All my duplicatants suffocated and died in the first 5 cycles. Tried again. Then everyone got sick from something and died. 10/10 game
just downloaded this on a steam sale - played through a few times blind and now realise how hard i was making it for myself! great video!
Two years later… thanks for all the tips!
Glad I could help!
Most things here aren’t the same
I can follow perfectly, since i don't have the time to search how it all works this is just what i needed! Thanks
just got this game on sale yesterday, seemed like a lot of fun but ive been struggling to just have a functional start, this video helped a lot, thanks
your video was overwhelmingly helpful, i cant believe you are this small, good luck on your journey!
Wow thank you so much for that, talk about humbling lol. I've been blessed with the gift of gab, so its nice its finally coming in handy lol! No streaming as of yet, although I am interested! I'll keep my UA-cam page notified if anything like that does end up happening! Thank you so much for the support!
3 years old but subbed still looks fun
Just picked this up last night and had a blast playing but man I could a used this video then hahahaha. This base is beautiful and very helpful, thanks!
Man this video is very informative and well put together. Deserve more subs!
Hey this was really helpful, I jsut started and it's really confusing starting out. You simplified a lot, thank you :)
6:45 spoken like a true CEO my man
I knew some tips, didn't know others so definitely appreciation your video! Thank you!
Thanks for making this. I just purchased the game because it is half off right now, and I was shocked that it has no sort of tutorial built in!
the wiki has a tutorial page to get you started.... but don't be afraid of experimenting by yourself, it's easy and far more rewarding that watching tutorial videos all day instead of playing... you'll soon learn how things work together (but if you are stuck there is nothing wrong in asking for help)
Klei games have a thing for being like "oh you bought the game? cool, now SUFFER" when it comes to tutorials. It's super fun once you get the hang of it, and everyone thinks you're some sort of genius. Perfect to hyperfixate on!
Thanks for a clear and concise guide. I gotta applaud you on narrating just the right amount... liked and subscribed
Ironically I found this video one year later!!!
Me too
"Happy New Year 2021" hits different now lol thanks for the video!
Loved this video! Please follow the tutorial up into dealing with food/mid games/expanding your base!
Most definitely will be getting into that my friend! Thank you do much for the kind words!
Honestly so helpful been trying to play ONI for 2 weeks now but just can't seem to get anything right in the game but this should help tonnes!
Something to mention: "DIG" orders - a dig order will remove a (non-constructed) solid tile, causing half that tile's mass to drop as a resource. "DECONSTRUCT" orders - a deconstruct order will remove a constructed item and return the resources used to make it. (digging oxylite will not simply delete the oxylite, but will cut the amount in half, so you are halving the amount of stored oxygen you will receive after the dig is completed.)
The materials will drop in the area they were dug/deconstructed from, and they will fall until they land on something solid.
This is the exact tutorial I was looking for, looking forward to the next part, thanks in advance!
You're more than welcome! So glad I could help my friend! Many more parts to come!
You are a saint sir. Thank you for this series, you kept me from immediately bouncing off ONI
You have so much water,...
also the water source is joined which will make it very vulnerable to contamination right at the start....
Awesome vid,I need more guides that are explained in specific steps like your guides. Also awesome explaining I really needed that
Great video.
Anyone else feel physical pain on like cycle 7 when all the oxylite is gone? lol
I never really worry with the o2 I always get that automated within like 30 cycles
Mainly because I rush it tho
is that a fish tank running in the background? its kinda relaxing :P
I'm ready to leave 2021 in the past, and let's hope 2022 will be much better.
Thanks for showing us how this game works. I'm looking for something simple to play during my off-time that's not a long drawn-out adventure (like Mass Effect or something). I usually play Risk or Tharsis, but this looks good too. And, it's on sale now, so I think I'll dive in and try it out.
This was great thank you! I'm excited to start applying some of these to my gameplay :)
Great Tutorial! I just picked up the Game and love it. One Question though: Wouldnt it be good to sprad out the oxygen Diffusors around different levels to speed up the spread of Oxygen? Or is it not worth it because the travel time to refill them increases?
Absolutely, and this base will certainly change as we progress. But you are definitely right long term.
forgot how to play the game, thank you so much for the incredible tutorial
Great tutorial! However I would've liked to see some timestamps, something to keep in mind if you decide to do future tutorials
Got bored by my other games. Remembered ONI that I've tried a year ago but got overwhelmed.Did a google search "ONI 2021" and stumbled across your videos. You gave me great helpfull assistance restarting the game and found enjoyment back, thanks !
One advice (if it hasn't been giving already); please turn down the music in your videos so we can hear you voice better !
I subscribed and hope I get further in this game than last year ;-)
Thank you very much for the very nice comment and the positive criticism, I definitely took it into consideration 🙏🏼
I just started playing this. Great tutorial!
Excellent job on this man. Wow, Happy New Year 2021, How quickly the time has passed. Not really much improvement either 🤣
Didn't think I would watch the entire 50 mins but it went by so quickly, this game is very confusing in the beginning.. so many small details that I was unsure of. Thanks.
Pretty cool watching the view count go from 9,999 to 10,000. Never seen it before
Thats actually amazing that you were the one to hit it 10k! What are the chances eh! Hopefully soon it will be my subscriber count doing the same thing ;) hahaha!
Great video so far, my one comment is your music is a bit loud, I would suggest turning down the volume just a touch to make it easier to hear you explain everything :)
Thank you so much for the positive criticism without being rude and extra, truly refreshing in the UA-cam world lol! And its definitely noted, made sure to turn it down in part 2! Sorry for making it a bit more difficult to hear in this one, shouldn't happen again! Cheers!
@@videogamearchitect7462 omg always want to give positive criticisms. I am a small streamer myself and I want to learn to improve the content I create for my viewers so if someone can give me a way to improve, I appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing part 2!
no wash basin in the beginning?
I skip it early game, simply because it wont have a lasting effect early game, plus you'll see I future episode I get running water up quite quickly and just skip the the real sinks and washrooms ect. Feel free to add some regular was basin's if you do choose, however I will show you its completely doable if you wanted to skip them!
@@videogamearchitect7462 won't food poison be a problem tho?
@@redshooterfun not early on. you dont want to develop your colony that way though its fine at the start.
your BEST 3 dupes to start ... are a researcher ... suit wearing is nice and so is supply BUT max research is better as it means they get the stuff you need early done fast ... the other 2 you need them to have dig AND build EACH ... and they level dig then supply then operate then build then dig and build to max ... your next dupe at cycles 3 is a supplier or farmer ... supply needs building lvl 1 and supply and operate max ... they can also work as a farmer cook as well untill you get a farmer rancher ... in all you need 8 dupes ... a researcher a cook ... 2 building diggers ... 2 farming ranchers ... 2 supplying engineers ... also first research is ALWAYS the first 2 on the tree ... so you get the green farm tile fast .. lay 12 of these down ... and plant at least 4 at the start of a day ... then you always have 4 producing food ... once you get a kitchen ... cook the meal lice into lice loaf ... as it uses less meal lice for the same gain as 3 meal lice ... and they like the loaf better ...
after farming your ext research should be the super computer and then gas all the way to the yellow door and then water all the way to the wall toilet ... these give you the ability to move excess bad gases out and poor placed water into your water pit
.
the very first things to build on day one ... a sink and toilet pair x 2 ... and a pitcher pump best is 3 sinks ad 3 outhouses leave a 2 wide gap for a shower at the front and a 2 wide at the back for a sink ... behind which a door to the compost room and that side of the map outside of the base ... this way the bathroom becomes a germ and air lock ... best basic airlock to use is the greya manual door the yellow auotmated door and a second grey door ... the yellow door opens and closes slower than the grey ones ... when NOT powered so it traps gases and water inside and destroys them ... a true airlock adds another yellow and grey door for a 5 door pass through ... the handy part is the bathroom then is the exact same size as a dormitory for 8 beds for dupes ... or any room for that matter sinks are always at 8 and toilets at 9 for priority ... so they get looked after soonest
.
as for preselecting priorities enable nearby work and Attack, Toggle, Life Support, Operate, and tidy ... so the dupes will always look after the group first ...
a flatulent dupe is not a bad trait ... they take 30 cycles to start being a concern for gas buildup ... and 60 turns to get a useful amount of gas ... which can be used for power ... bad traits like unconstructive are also not so bad ... your reasoning is extremely flawed ... you are looking at the math only ad NOT the usage as well ... which you MUST do or else you are forced to min max everything and keep changing things often ... while the other way you set it and forget it
outhouse and no sinks ... buggered at the start ... all your worry about bad gases ... and you place bad gas makers without any way to clean dupes after them .... always sink each toilet ... either 3 sinks in a row followed by 3 toilets ... or 4 or 2 ... it is MANDATORY ... on the first turn ... beds can come after the full bathroom and compost room is built ... usually about cycle 15 ...
Great tutorial, didn't feel too long! Thank you
More, more. Keep up the good work.
Always more on the way 😉 thank you so much for the support!
Cool vid,I never knew all these mid-game systems that actually work. Thanks for the beginner guide. I would’ve never sent my workers to work in water if you haven’t explained to me what to do. Hopefully we get new mid-game system guides like this. Btw If you have any guides about how to creat 3d movement on the computer just tell me. Thanks 🙏🏻
great guide, deserving of some love

Thanks! This was helpful on getting me started. Keep up the good content
Searched for a beginners guide, thinking "How many hours?", and then it's just 49 minutes.
Cool video though! Very helpful.
Little did you know when you said your intro that 2021 wouldn't be any better, and 2022 was pretty horrendous as well. at least we have games to escape!
Pretty fucking funny watching this in January of 2022 where you're like "I know everyone is ready to leave 2020 in the past" and it's like bruh if only you could have known about 2021 😂😂
I feel like I'm on hold with the cable company with that background music that repeats over and over and over...
Lol, I made sure to turn it down in the future videos so its less distracting! I have heard the complaints....Hope you manage to get passed it in this initial video! Cheers!
44:31 when he said poor bastards, I felt that
Really important video, thank you for your job. i like you content, and sub
Great video! really helping me out
So the skills have a heart because of morale. If you dont have morale through rooms, decor etc. You won't be able to even train skills past a ceartain lvl
My biggest problem is rushing a perfect water supply, cooled, germ less, etc, and then running low on food.
Yea, always try to get your oxygen and food supply setup in excess before going into those future stages.. That would be my recommendation! I've done the exact same thing many times though, that's for sure lol!
Okay I'm 10 min into the video and I wanna say that I'm just dumb enough that I need you to explain what you're doing when you're rapidly opening, clicking, and closing all these menus but I'm not so dumb that I need to be reminded that oxygen is a very important resource in this game and that I should try not to let my dupes to die :P
No but ty, I've already learned a bunch so far.
Kinda sad how the intro 'wish 2021 is better' is still applicable 😂
The seed doesn't work anymore which sucks
What are you talking about?
this is cute, gives me a more complicated fallout shelter meets star trek vibe
When you're doing farming tiles and not hydroponic tiles, I dare suggest building them close to your cistern. Dupes will be running up and down watering them
What’s a cistern?
@@watchanime331 that's the container of all the water. If you have your pump on the water but farming tiles are so far above, its a lot of time spent going up and down.
