The Who are a one of the great British rock bands from the 60's-70's. They are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century & have sold over 100 million records worldwide. They have so many great songs such as "I Can't Explain", "The Kids Are Alright", "My Generation", "Substitute", "Happy Jack", "I Can See For Miles", "Won't Get Fooled Again", "Baba O'Riley", "Behind Blue Eyes", "Boris The Spider", "Pictures Of Lily", "Magic Bus", "Who Are You" etc. The group's 1969 concept album "Tommy" included the single "Pinball Wizard".
First Concert ever Cotton Bowl, Dallas Tx early 80's Windy cold Dec day. Never forget. Got to see them three times more last time around 2004/05 American Airlines Dallas Tx
The great underrated Pete Townsend! John Entwistle, RogerDaltrey and ya gotta do some live stuff with Keith Moon on drums! The Who were so awesome, don’t even know where to start when it comes to how great and unique their music was! Both your reactions are a pleasure to watch! It’s like you both were there in the 60’s and 70’s and beyond enjoying the music with us! Love your reactions! And you both know great music when you hear it! Wish you could have been at the concerts with us all!
You can listen to The Who for days and days and days on end! A catalogue to die for. Musical brilliance. Have you ever hear of "Tommy-The Pinball Wizard" in your days???
Roger Daltrey on lead vocals, Pete Townsend on lead guitar, John Entwistle in on bass and their original drummer, Keith Moon, had already passed away and some of their earlier live recording showed him on drums and they are definitely worth exploring. Great band! One of my all-time favorite bands!
The Who were unsurpassed with their live performances. I saw them in 1971 at The Mississippi River Festival. The release of their rock opera Tommy was cutting edge rock 'n' Roll back in 1967. Go for "Pinball Wizard." It brings back some great memories. Always enjoy your reactions. Rock On 🤘 Peace ✌
One of the all-time greatest bands from the British Invasion era. The bass player, the late great John Entwistle is one of the greatest that ever lived.. I feel very fortunate to have been able to see them a couple of times once at the Hollywood Bowl and once at the L.A. Sports Arena .. I almost forgot I saw them at the Los Angeles Memorial Stadium also and The Clash opened for them...
That song is Rogers high water mark for his extraordinary vocals. Fantastic range and a great song. Thoroughly recommended, but then, these boys have a HUGE catalogue of stellar tunes.
Roger Daltry is the front man and lead vocalist (and one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time). He led the band in the early times but, eventually, it became clear that Pete Towsend, the lead guitarist on stage, was the one who had the drive, the talent, the writing and producing skills and he became the leader. Truly one of the most prolific and successful bands of the era and, really, in rock history. Love your reaction.
What an outstanding group. The Who began in the 1960’s and were on tour as recently as 2017 (50 YEARS LATER!!!). They performed live on the Jimmy Fallon Show around 2018 and sounded fantastic. I saw them live in Miami years ago - a very energetic show.
Back when this first came out, it was one if not the very first songs that dropped an F-Bomb. We all looked at each other with astonishment that they actually left that word on the radio. Most of the top 40 stations of the time cut it out but the more fun edgy FM stations let it ride. I remember seeing them in one of their many Fairwell tours, Roger Daltry jogged almost the entire show... I guess that's what coke with do for you. It was nice to see Peter Townsen with his patented windmill power chords... always a good show. An amusing story... one of the concerts I saw them at was at the ASU activity Center in Phoenix, there was a power outage for almost 45 minutes and much to the crowd's delight, Peter came out and started sweeping the stage, they eventually came back to finish the show.
Roger Daltrey is the only member of the band that DIDN'T do hard drugs. He has famously said he's never done a single line of coke. It's just not his thing. He sparingly used sleeping pills after shows because he couldn't fall asleep. Was never a big drinker. And has been married to the same woman for over 50 years. Pete was the musical genius, but Roger is the stability and "Daddy" of the band.
Won't Get Fooled Again ' live' is unforgettable, had the privilege of seeing them numerous times , great musicians and the best vocalist / frontman in British Rock History !
Ah Simon Phillips on drums here. Actually saw this tour at Giants Stadium. Guitarist/ writer/musical genius Pete Townsend wrote this about an "adventure" he had after a night of drinking at the local pub.
Great composition. This song is super intricate with all the instruments making it work so phenomenally. The talent is incredible really, when listening to all the different parts. Cheers
I seen this tour in Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. Stayed in line overnight for tickets, was 12th in line, and all that was available was lawn seats which was pretty cool as the lawn was where the party was. Good times. Think you two would like Join Together by them. It hits all the notes that you guys seem to like.
Great song, great reaction! Please check out Love reign O'er me. The vocals are so powerful and musically brilliant. Doesn't get the hits it deserves. A who fan favourite and covered by pearl jam.
I love watching your reactions to songs, especially when they get you moving like this one. Also, I appreciate how open to music you both are when it comes to reactions. There is so much great music out there to listen to, it's a big disservice to not explore genres/musicians. So, thank you, you two!!
Seeing them live at LA coliseum when the Clash opened left me speechless. It is hard enough to put a LP together let alone 2 of them that tells a story from start to finish. Quadrophenia and Tommy were phenomenal albums. Just one of the greatest bands ever. One note ( musically/ vocally) and you know …….. yep that’s The Who.
not a performance that many reactors have listened to. there are so many from them. it is very hard to go wrong with the who. check out "MY GENERATION" from the earlier days.
The Who has so many great songs, great catalog. Try Love Reign O'er Me or The Real Me from Quadrophenia. BJ, if you really love bass, The Real Me CANNOT BE MISSED! And Love Reign O'er Me is just fantastic song, arrangement, legendary vocal performance.
This concert was obviously after Keith Moon passed, but their replacement drummer does him justice. You need to react to more Who. As rock bands go, they are among the gods of rock and roll. Any of the songs listed below would be a great start.
Who concerts were epic. The energy from the stage and the crowd was amazing. To hear twenty thousand fans singing the chorus line to this and many other songs touches your psyche. Signed: Loyal Wholigan since 1966
What a song, & a performance I've only seen a few times. Y'all get the next one, please check out their Shepperton Studios performances!!...just absolutely fantastic!🤟😉
Love me some Who...saw them at Sundevil Stadium at Arizona State with John Cougar and Loverboy! On October 31, 1982...that's right, billed as " Wholloween"!!!
Roger Daltrey also starred in a british feature film called Mcvicar about a real life british gangster escaping prison it was a well ok movie, guys its amazing at my age of 70 years you have no idea its unbelievable how much music and bands of all descriptions hiding in our heads, review channel's like your very own excellent one bring all the songs all the memories we forgot we heared back in the day flowing back, thousands of them some i havan't heard for 40/50 years thank you both for that keep up the good work,👍
WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN, BABA O’REILLY, and I CAN SEE FOR MILES are just a few of their many hit songs. You should watch their 1969 live performance at Woodstock.
Asia first let me say I love y’all reactions and that YOU TWO compliment each other like no other, that being said I have requested many songs here I KNOW you would enjoy the newest one now would be Peter frampton live do you feel like we do. Please react and to the others as well please
I saw the British leg of this tour - The Who ‘big band’. Judging by Pete’s bandaged hand, I wonder if this is the tour where one of Pete’s famous windmills drove the tremolo arm on his guitar right through his hand. Fortunately it missed all the important bits and did no lasting damage (one hopes). Pete was concerned about his hearing on this tour (he had been for some time) and I was worried as we were sat way at the back of the National Exhibition Centre that they might come over too quietly. Needn’t have worried - the opening chords of ‘Can’t Explain’ plastered me into my seat! To see other great clips watch them rampage through Mose Allison's ‘Young Man Blues live at the Isle of Wight Festival (a comparison with Allison’s original illustrates just how hard and manic The Who’s retread is). Also their short set at the New York Concert For 9/11 is blistering - as Queen were to Live Aid, here The Who completely steal the show. God help whoever had to follow them!
Was fortunate to see them twice. 1st right after Keith Moon died(🙏), & then on their 1st (🤣) Farewell Tour(Eminence Front!) Blackfoot opened, & Jethro Tull on the Farewell Tour. It couldn't get any better. Both shows were 🔥🔥 They had a small horn section for the Quadrophenia songs with Entwhistles french horn. 📯🎺🎺🎷
The Who is great! Saw them years ago. That year people got trampled at their concerts. When I saw them it was at a theatre in Chicago. After the live concert they also played the opera Tommy for us that had to see The Who simulcast in 6 theaters in Chicago, demand was hugh!!! Great show and then seeing Tommy directly after the live show was really special. If you get a chance, rent Tommy the Opera, you will love it.
tjhe who are the original teen age rebels theyhave benn together since they were angry young men and this is from their early days , live they are amazing , raw passion like you two xx
I saw them during the tour. It’s a good thing I knew the songs because where they played in Vancouver was a concrete football stadium and there was a lot of echoes in there. Whoever was their sound engineer wasn’t very good. Later saw Supertramp in the same venue, man that was an excellent sound, excellent concert.
The who's lead guitarist, Pete Townshend, wrote the very first rock opera that was ever written. It was before Jesus Christ superstar. What he wrote was Tommy.
Back along time ago Keith moon (original drama who died) and Pete Townshend (guitar ) and Roger daltrey (singer) they would tear up the stage busting guitar and drums at the end of a show, I think late 60's or in 70's. You can see it on UA-cam
Two notable things about this video are: 1. Simon Phillips on drums at the height of his powers. Phenomenal. 2. The reason Pete Townsend is wearing a sleeve on his hand is because only a few nights earlier he impaled the webbing between his fingers with the whammy bar while he was doing windmills on the guitar. Crazy.
The Rolling Stones always get the title of the worlds greatest rock band. In my opinion, that should be The Who. Check out Love Reign O'er Me if you get a chance.
I saw them a few days before this show... at the Tacoma Dome south of Seattle in Tacoma... It was the same show... almost.. because at the end of our show, the guitarist Pete Townsend cut his hand really bad on his whammy bar when he was swinging his hand around. Its why he has a bandage on his hand here.
The CSI series use the Who songs as intro music. This one is the original CSI Vegas, the NY one uses Baba O Reilly, and CSI Miami has Won't get fooled again . All Who songs. John Entwistle on bass was I think, one if not the best

Behind Blue Eyes is one of their great songs worth a listen.

John Entwistle on the bass was fantastic, no one can play the bass like he did
The Bull was a monster
The Ox was pure thunder!
@@magicbrownie1357 I'm an idiot. Why on earth did I call him the Bull when he was The Ox? Thx for the reminder Magic
He played a Rickenbacher?
A flawed great
My first concert I ever seen was that right there. The Who in 89. Is still the best concert I have been to.
I saw them in San Diego on this 1989 tour. They were still playing 3 hours. They played almost all of Tommy and about a dozen other songs.
I saw them three years earlier at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas - three hour show at least.
One of my favorite groups and my favorite song of theirs. Also have this song as my ringtone. Great reaction, thanks
a fav, and roger D you could always understand what he was singing right? Pete T amazing guitarist everyone knows and John Bass just all of them.
Great reaction. I was fortunate to see The Who play live in Pittsburgh in the early 70's. A great rock and roll band and they were amazing in concert.
the who - 'won't get fooled again' live at shepperton 1978, the real me, and their studio masterpiece 'love reign o'er me' stunning, stunning song btw
You can listen to The Who for days and days and days on end! A catalogue to die for. Musical brilliance. Have you ever hear of "Tommy-The Pinball Wizard" in your days???
The Who are my favorite live band. I saw them in concert in 1970, 1980 and 2019. Awesome!
Roger Daltrey. 😍😍😍. Rock n Roll Yummy!!!! Coming and going. LOL
I saw The Who at The Isle Of Wight Festival in 1969. They played about a 2 hour set , about 24 songs. Fantastic! What a great time we had.

TOP 5 WHO SONGS
That song is Rogers high water mark for his extraordinary vocals.
Fantastic range and a great song.
Thoroughly recommended, but then, these boys have a HUGE catalogue of stellar tunes.
Squeezebox is my absolute fav
Behind blue eyes
Bubba oreilly

Pictures of Lily
Awesome band never disappoints
Movie was good too and I like "Pinball Wizard"
Yes!

I can always tell when Asia gets into a song, she puts on that great big, beautiful smile. I love it❤️
The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin. Many people would say those are the top 3 rock bands! (in no particular order).
For a few years in the late 60's early 70's, at their peak, they were the greatest live band in the world...and the loudest!
What an outstanding group. The Who began in the 1960’s and were on tour as recently as 2017 (50 YEARS LATER!!!). They performed live on the Jimmy Fallon Show around 2018 and sounded fantastic. I saw them live in Miami years ago - a very energetic show.
The WHO’s depth and diversity is phenomenal!!! My fave live performance is A Quick One at The Rolling Stone’s Rock & Roll Circus.
That performance is a showcase of the group’s talent. Love watching Keith Moon in that clip.
Back when this first came out, it was one if not the very first songs that dropped an F-Bomb. We all looked at each other with astonishment that they actually left that word on the radio. Try 'Eminence Front' by The Who! One of their very BEST. The incredible bass-line will knock your knees.
The Who's 25th anniversary tour played my city that summer of 1989....I was there for all three hours of it 😎
Great composition. This song is super intricate with all the instruments making it work so phenomenally. The talent is incredible really, when listening to all the different parts. Cheers
My favorite band. 🙌🏼. Thank you
This is the theme song for CSI. FYI in 2010, they were the headliners for the Superbowl half-time show.
I do the Who Are You? in the mirror quite regularly lol 😆
Love you two! Xx

This one def deserved a listen to the OG first....then the live. Roger has a great voice.

Yes Jamie...hi Jamie
This is a very good live version...much better ones out there
Or this not a good version
The Who has so many great songs, great catalog. Try Love Reign O'er Me or The Real Me from Quadrophenia. BJ, if you really love bass, The Real Me CANNOT BE MISSED! And Love Reign O'er Me is just fantastic song, arrangement, legendary vocal performance.
The who is a miracle!
Brilliant band. So many fantastic bands from England in the 1960s.
Asia, looks as though you enjoyed this reaction, and your analysis is right. It's about those people around the guitarist (song writer).
The album "Quadrophenia " is a masterpiece !! Pete Townsend's greatest achievement (IMO) :)
This concert was obviously after Keith Moon passed, but their replacement drummer does him justice. You need to react to more Who. As rock bands go, they are among the gods of rock and roll. Any of the songs listed below would be a great start.
That is the great Simon Phillips on drums

Pound for pound one of the great British bands of all time.
Thank you for sharing this with me today Monday
Quadrophenia was The Who at their absolute peak of their powers. The Real Me is the quintessential Who song.
My first concert
1979 Miami baseball stadium. My older brother OT. Ole Tom took me. Rip OT
They also played Woodstock back in 1969.
What a song, & a performance I've only seen a few times. Y'all get the next one, please check out their Shepperton Studios performances!!...just absolutely fantastic!🤟😉
It's official...y'all two are my faves. :)
Love me some Who...saw them at Sundevil Stadium at Arizona State with John Cougar and Loverboy! On October 31, 1982...that's right, billed as " Wholloween"!!!
That is called “real” music. Straight ass kickin’ rock and roll.
Best live band I've ever seen, bar none.
Roger Daltrey also starred in a british feature film called Mcvicar about a real life british gangster escaping prison it was a well ok movie, guys its amazing at my age of 70 years you have no idea its unbelievable how much music and bands of all descriptions hiding in our heads, review channel's like your very own excellent one bring all the songs all the memories we forgot we heared back in the day flowing back, thousands of them some i havan't heard for 40/50 years thank you both for that keep up the good work,👍
Rock Freakin' Royalty!
"Keith Moon" does a great rendition of this song... being the original drummer and all. Give it a listen.
WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN, BABA O’REILLY, and I CAN SEE FOR MILES are just a few of their many hit songs. You should watch their 1969 live performance at Woodstock.

This performance is from the 25th anniversary of Tommy tour, and the whole thing is magic....
The sound and songs they do is why it is the top of my list of rock bands )
I always say - Zeppelin is my favorite but The Who is the best.
I always wanted the same hair as Roger Daltry.
Pete wearing his wrap on hand, put the whammy bar thru his hand on a windmill earlier in the tour.
The Who is great! Saw them years ago. That year people got trampled at their concerts. When I saw them it was at a theatre in Chicago. What a great take on a song. Kudos
Gotta check out the studio performance of this with Rock's wild and funny man, the late, great Keith Moon on drums.
There is no Who without Keith Moon
1989...their last great tour. They haven't been the same since John Entwhistle died. RIP, John and Keith.
The Who !
This song has you look at yourself with attitude!
I went to a show on this tour in Houston.
They always beeped it out on the radio. Like we hadn't already heard the album. Check out 'Love Reign O'er Me', and 'Behind Blue Eyes'.
Met them in Detroit at there hotel suite. 75. They were at Woodstock. Monterey pop Festival.
tjhe who are the original teen age rebels theyhave benn together since they were angry young men and this is from their early days , live they are amazing , raw passion like you two xx
It was used in "the masked singer" show also in the US crime show once "CSI LasVegas" ! as intro.
look up concert for NYC performed at Madison Sq Garden. It was every superstar free concert for 1st responders days after 9/11
The who's lead guitarist, Pete Townshend, wrote the very first rock opera that was ever written. It was before Jesus Christ superstar. What he wrote was Tommy.
Saw them in ‘80 I think it was. Shea Stadium. Back when you had to camp out to get tickets. All the BFs always graciously got it done. Amazing show.
Back along time ago Keith moon (original drama who died) and Pete Townshend (guitar ) and Roger daltrey (singer) they would tear up the stage busting guitar and drums at the end of a show, I think late 60's or in 70's. You can see it on UA-cam
Got to checkout the whole Whos Next album, really every song is great! You’ll love it, Especially Won’t get fooled again, and Baba O’reilly
There's a video of The Who recording this in the studio that's really good.
Check out The Who - "Love reign over me". and "Baba O'Riley" --- They have so many great song it's crazy.
Some more WHO please. Always do them live. Their energy is unmatched.
Funny, I was looking for more of your WHO reactions just as you called me off
Just saw the other comment yes Love Reing O’er Me is a must!
The CSI series use the Who songs as intro music. This one is the original CSI Vegas, the NY one uses Baba O Reilly, and CSI Miami has Won't get fooled again . All Who songs. John Entwistle on bass was I think, one if not the best
Don't forget CSI: Cyber, which uses "I Can See For Miles,".
Roger daultry starred in a British film called Mcvicar the soundtrack was also performed by them is Amazing. To many good WHO tracks to react too 👍🏻
fun FYI - The opening song to CSI tv show too - The Who are a Great Band with great iconic songs too many to list
