Kieth Moon was a crazy individual but was probably one of the greatest Rock Drummers ever RIP Keith Moon. The Who started making hits 1964. The tune was played on the CSI Crime TV Series
Your feelings about the talent in this group is correct!! Please do more from them. The drummer Keith Moon is a crazy drummer hits hard. He played hard and partied hard and was gone too soon. They are notorious for destroying their equipment at the end of a concert.
The late Keith Moon aka "Moon The Loon" probably one of the best rock drummers ever, also known for his clowning around and trashing hotel rooms. I read a story once about The Who being on their way to an airport in a limo when Keith Moon demanded they turn around and go back to the hotel because he'd forgot something, so thinking it was important they returned to the hotel, and when they got there Keith Moon went up to the room they were in and threw a tv out of the window into the pool below, got back in the car and said something like "That was a close call, i nearly forgot"🤪👌✌
Roger Daltrey's singing on "Love Reign O'er Me" might be the greatest vocal performance in rock history. And John Entwistle's bass-playing on "The Real Me" is as good as it gets.
Awesome reaction. Try "Magic Bus or PinBall Wizard " next. Got to love the incredible speed of Keith's hands, he is everywhere around the kit. Lots of great cymbal work..."Moon the Loon" never disappoints.
they were one of the really top band of that era it really makes me feel old when you say ,,,first time listen ,, first time reaction . i enjoyed your reation
I like The Who but never really got into them!! When their music came on the radio it was great to rock out to them tho. Two things about Roger Daltrey that are fun to know 1) Daltrey played Tommy in The Who’s Tommy! Tina Turner the Acid Queen, Ann Margaret was Tommy’s mother, Elton John Pinball Wizard, Eric Clapton the Preacher, Keith Moon was Uncle Ernie, Jack Nicholson the Specialist, etc. And 2) Roger Daltrey sang I WANT IT ALL with Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert 1992. 👏👏👏👏 Please check it out!!
Great choice for your first Who reaction. The Who are like no other band in rock history, in my humble opinion. Player for player, one of the most talented ever. There's a ton of stuff of theirs you will love. "Young Man Blues" "Won't Get Fooled Again" "See Me, Feel Me" (the version from Woodstock) "Baba O'Riley" "Love Reign O'er Me"
One of the best reactions you have done, IMO. And with the personal part, you showed a gleam in your eyes and expressions that told it's own story. I had forgotten how much I admire this band. As the close ups came to each member I remembered their names! I was astonished by that! BIG fan then and still are today. Great reaction and glad you did The Who. Prediction: 🤔, more to come......... 😎
Hey from USA. Assuming you're British, your nation ruled rock for decades 🎸🇬🇧 My top Brits: the Clash, the Damned, Crass, Napalm Death, Billy Bragg, Conflict, Slits, Poison Girls
this video was made for the biographical Who film The Kids Are Alright. The film crew wanted to get b-roll footage of the band for the film and the group performed this song in the studio exclusively for them.
As usual, you can see music and it’s players. Your mind is wide and detailed, much faster than mine and it is an absolute pleasure to see you, thanks 🙏 Hap
Needless to say, "The Who" is among Queen's many influences. Roger Daltry has this trademark where he does this fancy swinging of his microphone at concerts. He even did it during a stage performance of "The Wizard of Oz" featuring the artist Jewel as Dorothy and Roger sang the role of the Tin Man. Roger has even taken on acting for a bit and was in a few movies/mini-series.
They duct taped the headphones on him because it was the only way he'd leave them on. They forced him to play to a click track because he had previously left all the time keeping duties to the bass player.
What a ride! From "The Who" caffe with "herbal tea" 😁, duck tape, comedian, to MJ imitation and posh talk - and overall fantastic song and reaction! Excellent!
Great reaction mate !! You've opened another can of worms you will have to start reacting to the Who next. Just wait until you discover so many other wonderful British Bands.
The Who is one of the most influential rock bands ever. They certainly weren't the biggest, but if you grew up listening to classic rock stations you heard them a lot even if you didn't know it. As for live versions check out Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again at Shepperton Studios.
Omg another jaw dropping music! 🎵 “Who are you? I really wanna know” I so in love with the “who who” part 💕 ur reaction was so fun to watch (as always to me anyway) so thanks for bringing such level of enthusiasm&charisma in ur reactions! Pls do more of The Who music. I’m ready to fasten my seat belt & enjoy the ride w/ ya Hap 👍🏼💛🎧
Who Are They?? hmm. well, the drummer, Keith Moon. Think of the craziest, wildest, person in music and put them beside Moon and Moon will make them look sane. Joe Walsh is lucky to be alive lol... Pete Townsend on guitar, windmill mill Pete can shred some solos, amazing guitarist and vocals as well. On Bass you have Thunder fingers John Enwistle, beast on bass, to hear his vocals listen to Boris The Spider... Then on vocals the great Roger Daltry, phenomenal vocals as you will find out. Thanks. so many great songs.
3:00 - Of course you do, it's the theme song of the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, a.k.a CSI Las Vegas! ; ) Btw, the other two CSI series, New York and Miami, also had theme songs from the The Who. : )
I was wondering, when you were going to get around to reacting to The Who. ❤❤ Perhaps the classic "My Generation", "Baba O'Riley" (Shepperton Studios 1978 video) or my favorite "The Song is Over" next. The Who predated Queen by 6 years. Their rock opera Tommy, 1969, was groundbreaking. It was adapted to the stage, with the help of Pete Townsend. I loved seeing all the band members interacting in the video. Keith Moon was the drummer, who unfortuately died, in 1978. I really hope that you decide to delve deeper into The Who's musical legacy. If you attack their music with the same gusto as you have Queen, we your subscibers, are in for a real treat. Please keep doing what you are doing!! There is so much to react to. Enjoy the road trip!! Other bands I would love to see reactions to: Cream, Deep Purple, Free/Bad Company and of course more Journey.) Peace J 🎶🎼 LOL-I think I may have visited your Cafe'when I had a layover in Amsterdam😉😋🔥
Mucking about is correct. This is an early, and edited, version of the song, with a guide vocal, track drums, and track lead electric guitar, all of which were completely replaced in the final product, which includes the third verse, curiously omitted here.
They us this song in sooo many cop shows here in the US right now its used in the reality show masked singer which is quite good, singers who dress in costume and u have to guess who they are under the costume,Daltrey another great singer from another great band, great reaction as always
This was the last who album and song drummer Keith moon played on he died a month after this song album was released in 1978 September 1979 Keith moon died age 32
You need to jump onto Baba O'Reilly, Won't Get Fooled Again, Love Reign O'er Me and Behind Blue Eyes. There are some crazy stories about Keith Moon the drummer, he died shortly after this, from overdose of medication for alcoholism. Roger Daltrey, the singer, said he was never destined to make old bones and he didn't. Roger's voice is a POWERHOUSE. Doesn't hurt that he's hot! Pete Townshend, the guitarist, is a GENIUS. And John Entwistle was one of the best at bass (RIP). The Who were around in the 60's, but really didn't come into their own until their Tommy album and the early 70's. Powerhouse band. Great musicians. This was a promo video. One of the most iconic moments in Rock HIstory was Keith Moon downing something akin to elephant tranquilizers, passing out on stage and Pete calling out to the audience "Does anyone play the drums?" After Keith's death a few years later something amazing happened. The shortened version is Ringo Starr of the Beatles (real name Richard Starkey) would not teach his son how to play the drums. Ringo didn't want the life for his son. Well, he didn't take into account he was friends with Keith Moon and lived nearby. Zak Starkey learned from Keith how to play. When he was older, played with The Who for many years. There is no drummer like Keith really, there never will be.
The crazy drummer your're refuting to is none other than KEITH MOON.He was the wildest most funniest guy ever.you should read his biography about his life.He love to play practicle jokes on his band mates and on other people. He once drove a rolls Royce car into the swimming pool He likes to dress up and fool people. He was a jokester and one hell of a DRUMMER.sadly, he lived to be thrity two and passed away in 1978 of an accidental drug overdose.Boy did he leave an impression on people.
Moon wasn't different onstage and off, lol. He was insane 100% of the time. It's worth reading biographies, or at least googling some stories. Alice Cooper has amazing Moon stories. Also, "a lot more music in them" is quite an understatement. Your next songs should be Won't Get Fooled Again and Baba O'Riley, two of the greatest classics in rock and roll.
that geezer is Keith Moon. the original rock star. sexual depravity, drink, drugs, driving rolls royces into pools, throwing TVs out of hotel windows... he did it all, first! and those that really knew him said he was even crazier
They got as much time as they liked by this time,, Bust the iron grip from the sales floor, Beatles did first , I´d love to see some exec go in and talk about time with them :-)
OFC you have Pandora Boxes coming your way.... you're one yourself, HAP'... ;) Never was into the Who, I even thought they were American, mostly because the "little" man w the huge voice is singing, but that also says a tiiiiiiiny bit of how much I know about Who are the Who.... ;) XD :P Who I am.....hehe... I don't wanna label myself, I do many things, but don't wanna say... I've tried many professions, but never wanted to call myself a Natural Sound Teacher, a truckdriver, a shop owner, a security guard, a teacher.... that's just boring.... really.... blah! My "NEW" YT name will give a few hints.... on FB I just state; "I am oLeNa ....other than that I don't know who I am.... Do you?"
"Keith was the soul of the group." Said some weeks later in his funeral 😢 so true...
Keith John Moon (1946-1978) FOREVER 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kieth Moon was a crazy individual but was probably one of the greatest Rock Drummers ever RIP Keith Moon. The Who started making hits 1964. The tune was played on the CSI Crime TV Series
Drummer is Keith Moon. AKA" Moon the Loon" a very good friend and neighbour and drinking buddy of Oliver Reed. Lol.
Rip boys. Cheers.

Keith moon is the greatest drummer that ever lived. Plain and simple.
Nah he's good but definitely not better than Mr Peart ...sorry bud
@@donmcewan8807 Sorry, Peart was good, but Moon and probably also Bonham were better. We're all allowed to have our opinions though.
True story!
Awesome reaction. Try "Magic Bus or PinBall Wizard " next. Got to love the incredible speed of Keith's hands, he is everywhere around the kit. Lots of great cymbal work..."Moon the Loon" never disappoints.
Core Blimey mate, in your face right from the start!!
they were one of the really top band of that era it really makes me feel old when you say ,,,first time listen ,, first time reaction . i enjoyed your reation
Roger Daltrey has one of thee sexiest voices 😂
I like The Who but never really got into them!! When their music came on the radio it was great to rock out to them tho. THAT WAS AN AWESOME BLAST FROM OUR MUSICAL PAST! " THE WHO" WOW 💥💥 FANTASTIC REACTION!! HAP! ...... great song request Chris !! 👍👏
I lov this video because you get to see a lot of each band member and the interplay with Keith Moon
Great choice for your first Who reaction. The Who are like no other band in rock history, in my humble opinion. Player for player, one of the most talented ever. There's a ton of stuff of theirs you will love.
"Young Man Blues"
"Won't Get Fooled Again"
"See Me, Feel Me" (the version from Woodstock)
"Baba O'Riley"
"Love Reign O'er Me"
Who the F are You lol...awesome lets rock. Thanks.
Great reaction HAP. I love this song. I’ll let you know who I am when I figure that out.😀👍❤️✌️🌼

Totally agree with you John. I hope HAP does a deep dive into their catalogue. So much there!!!
An experience to be listened to - so glad you shut your eyes.
Keith had his earphones taped to his head because he would get so into playing the drums that the earphones would fall off of his head.
If you haven’t I would love to see you react to their song Behind Blue Eyes
I second that...
#replay. The Who were one of my favorite bands back in the day!!!
Gorgeous Roger Daltrey 😍, I use to have his poster on my bedroom wall

1970S GREAT TIMES ( THE WHO THE BEST 🎸🇬🇧)
To the innocent, or uninitiated, FYI, this is one of the greatest rock bands of the last century......
Needless to say, "The Who" is among Queen's many influences. Roger Daltry has this trademark where he does this fancy swinging of his microphone at concerts. You get a funny goofy sound when you’re are amused..... lol! Thank you!😘
The quality of the vid is impressive. What an awesome song
I so love your reactions 😍
Awesome reaction!!!! 😆👍💓 your head moves were the same as the drummer's moves. 🎶🎶🎶
By this time they owned their own studio, so plenty of time.

Yes, exactly! It was a fantastic reaction! 💜
Well said!

The drummer Keith Moon (Moonie) was quite a character and joker.
Queen forever i love your reactions queen songs
Love Reign Oer Me, Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Join Together, The Real Me, Behind Blue Eyes.. the list goes on and on and on.
No time for that monkey business...your Queen is showing (: and I like it. Grew up hearing this but never saw the video - fun!
Queen sucks big time!!! Do Neil Young Down By The River
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN I am relatively confident Neil Young would cringe at that comment...and I like Neil Young.

All those runs are the bass player. One of the greatest.
That is The Mad Moon , The crazy drummer in a crazy good band,, First band I saw at 16 in a Soho celler club ,, imagine that about twenty people ,
One of their most underrated songs "The Real Me"
Keith the mad man Moon!

I think Keith Moon was definitely in the top 5 drummers of all time. Ridiculous sticks.
Great story! There’s one called Ten Years After, a song is I’d Love To Change The World
You need to watch videos about Keith Moon to say he was a character is an understatement.
Check out their version of Young Man's Blues from Live At The Isle Of Wight. Incredible.
Keith Moon (drummer) was a wild man, and an incredible drummer; gone too soon. Also R.I.P. John Entwistle (bass). The Who are legendary.
The drummer is Keith Moon. Moon the Loon they called him. The greatest Rock drummer in the World.
Greatest Rock Band Ever
Read the book, “Moon the Loon” biography of Keith Moon. Written by one of The Who’s roadies.
One of my favorite songs!! Heard it on an adoption site, looking for my son.
That’s amazingly cool -
Check them out doing I Don't Even Know Myself at the IoW 1970, great time and get to see Keith having fun.
One of the best videos of Keith Moon ever made.
Love your reaction.
Entwislte always said he was not a bassist but a bass guitarist
That Geezer is Keith Moon. Put some respect on that name.
By the way, the next reaction should be to their Shepperton studios (1978) video, Won't Get Fooled Again.
1978 and they still had IT
