He was such a maniac he had to tape his headphones to his head so they wouldn't fly off! He was such a trip! RIP, Keith P. S. There are some Britishisms in the lyrics.
The Who has been around since I was a kid in the 1960s! 1960s through 1970s was the best era in music! They could sing and play instruments back then!! I was lucky to have grown up during this time! 😊😊
Maybe the most underrated rock bands of all time. But, now I am feeling old. I saw them on this tour when they played the Nassau Colosseum. It was an awesome show. 😂
Just for ears, Ashley. EMINENCE FRONT, BEHIND BLUE EYES, WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN, & LONG LIVE ROCK. Pete Townshend, the guitarist and songwriter, and singer Roger Daltrey run this asylum of madmen, along with drummer Keith Moon, and bass player extraordinaire, John Entwhistle. These guys rock no other. Rock from way back in the 2oth century, crushes anything from this sad age. Keep going and enjoy
LYRICS: Who are you? Who, who, who, who? I woke up in a Soho doorway A policeman knew my name He said, "You can go sleep at home tonight If you can get up and walk away" I staggered back to the underground And the breeze blew back my hair I remember throwin' punches around And preachin' from my chair Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I really wanna know (who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) 'Cause I really wanna know (who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I took the tube back out of town Back to the Rollin' Pin I felt a little like a dying clown With a streak of Rin Tin Tin I stretched back and I hiccupped And looked back on my busy day Eleven hours in the tin pan God, there's got to be another way Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Oh, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Come on and tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Oh, who the fuck are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Who are you? (Ooh wa, ooh wa, ooh wa, ooh wa, ooh wa, ooh) Who are you? Who, who, who, who? I really wanna know (who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I really wanna know (who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Come on, tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) 'Cause I really wanna know (who are you? Who, who, who, who?) I know there's a place you walked Where love falls from the trees My heart is like a broken cup I only feel right on my knees I spit out like a sewer hole Yet still receive your kiss How can I measure up to anyone now After such a love as this? Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Oh, tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Oh, I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Tell, tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Come on, come on, who? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Ah, who the fuck are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?) Oh, tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Ooh) I really wanna know Oh, I really wanna know Come on, tell me, who are you, you, you, ah, you? (Yeah)
If you really wanna see a band nail a perfect performance, try The Eagles doing Hotel California live in 1977. Perfect harmonies, perfect dueling guitars, and a drummer singing lead vocals. And the story of a wild hotel where you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
Your on point - it might be a song about confusion, distraction and how to find yourself - that what kids to find on so called social media, because they are left by their parents - which are deeply drowning into handheld computer screens and unable to communicate with their kids.
Another wonderful reaction from you, Ashley. 😊❤️ The Who are an epic talent with their roots in the mid-60s. You simply won't go wrong sampling their legendary music.
This performance is my ultimate favorite of all time. Simon Phillips is like no other on the drums. He doesn't seem to have a dominant hand in his playing. Not many drummers can play left and right.....not that I've witnessed anyway. The Who are fernominal and the guest artists are many. The best performance I've ever seen.❤
Great reaction!! These guys are tops of the game since 60's. Fairly sure that is Simon Phillips on the red kit. Entwistle still with us. Wow, they are great live! The F word pronounced in proper English is quite endearing 😉
I saw this tour at the Pontiac Silverdome, Detroit. I think daltrey ran 2 miles in place. The entirety of ‘I Can See For Miles’ among other songs. Tied for ACDC best live show for me. High energy start to finish.
I saw them in Philly on this tour in 1989. I was not a big fan before the show but it was by far the best concert I’ve ever been to. Been a huge fan ever since. The concert was an outside stadium in the summer and it was 100 degrees a lot of the women were taking their tops off. It was so loud that you just kind of lost yourself in the music.
I saw them on this tour. I had previous seen them three times with the great Keith Moon on drums, and once with Kenny Jones. This was their first really big band, including a second guitarist, who is carefully edited out of this video. For much of the concert Pete played acoustic guitar and the other player was lead. I think his name was Steve Bolten. But what I was trying to convey is that as good as this video is, imagine 2 1/2 hours of this energy and musicianship! And that was the Who. They'd grab you by your (pick a body part) and demand your attention.
try out their song Pin Ball Wizard, from their Rock Opera Tommy. They were I believe part of the First wave of the British Invasion. This song is from the early to mid 70's.
Glad you enjoyed this! If you want to enjoy another raspy voice singer/performer, check out Peter Gabriel "In Your Eyes" from the Secret World Live video. It will change you.
The song was about a situation were someone, not Roger Daltry got drunk. The beginning verse a cop told him he could go home if he could get up and walk.
You should check out the late, great, The Ox, bassist of the millennium, John Entwistle. He would be the bassist on the left, standing still but playing his butt off. The Atlanta 2000 is best
There's that dumb hypothetical question, if you could create your own band, any musicians alive or not, Roger Daltry is my #1 choice for vocalist, not the best, not the sweetest vocals, just pure dirt, grit and emotion
who got street cred. hits in 60s 70s n 80s. dynamic n sometimes explosive live band, vey aso payed in v 9/11 tribute concert 4 v responders. yeah, prob 70s we partiyd mre n v bands n music was v best decade, 60s n ven 80s close behind. vis near v end of ver span, n still so much energy. try my generation n substitute frm v 60s, behind blue eyes, pinball wizard, baba oreily, wont get fooled again, majic bus, best live!
On a bad night they were good, on a good night they were the best live rock act in the world.
You have to watch their performance at the Shepperton studios 1978 with Keith Moon on drums. IT'S FIRE 🔥
He was such a maniac he had to tape his headphones to his head so they wouldn't fly off! He was such a trip! RIP, Keith

Their Live at Leeds concert is probably more famous but Live at the Isle of Wight is everything.
Roger Daltrey on lead vocal and Pete Townsend on lead guitar and vocal as well as main songwriting duties. Legendary British rockers The Who.
The best of the bunch is John Entwisle, RIP Keith & John, thank you. Jim
Greatest Rock Band Ever
I always say that Zeppelin is my favorite band but The Who is the best.
The earlier version with Keith Moon was absolutely amazing! That's Roger Daltry singing.
When I hear this come on the radio, the volume goes up! 🔥
Born in 58 I feel blessed to have lived through an era when talent was what got you to the top.
I was born in '58 Too!
One of my favourite Bands so many great tracks for you to discover.
This song is used as the theme song to the TV show CSI
The Who!! was a top notch rock band hands down 👍👍👍👍👍
Loved Mooney (saw them in '75), but Simon Phillips is a great drummer.
Saw this tour twice (Raleigh and Atlanta)
Maybe the most underrated rock bands of all time. But, now I am feeling old. I saw them on this tour when they played the Nassau Colosseum. It was an awesome show. 😂
WOW!! Sounded great on my Bose speakers!! I remember this jam from back in the day...The Who!! 😉
Amen about the Bose Speakers! I have two that will blow you away! ❤😎
@@Fruit17-ip4vl yep!!

I think I paid 5$ for the lawn in Saratoga.I saw the Police for a dollar at Syracuse University once
Deep, deep well here Ashley, deep.
One of the best front men in rock & roll.
The Who are a marvelous band!!

That's the best live set of Who Are You I have ever seen.......and I've seen many! 😁
Check out the song: The Who - A Quick One (While He's Away) live at the circus
The real deal😎

You been Who'd. Roger Daltry

Pete Townsend: different
You need to them perform on the Rolling Stones 1968 Rock and Roll Circus!
The only act to perform at Monterey International Pop Festival, Woodstock, and Live Aid.
This was a good performance but she should here the studio version from back in the day.
❤
👍👍💯❤️🔥
Here w e go the expressions will be great! LOL

You should listen to, Paradise by the dashboard lights. By Meatloaf, the name of the singer. You won't be disappointed.
You should check out the late, great, The Ox, bassist of the millennium, John Entwistle. He would be the bassist on the left, standing still but playing his butt off. The Atlanta 2000 is best
He was running from the cops
Theme music to the original CSI LAS VEGAS
There's that dumb hypothetical question, if you could create your own band, any musicians alive or not, Roger Daltry is my #1 choice for vocalist, not the best, not the sweetest vocals, just pure dirt, grit and emotion
Okay, I'd put Leon Russell on keyboards 😊
John Entwistle was one of the top three bassist in my opinion
I agree. Either Roger Daltry or Robert Plant. The 2 greatest vocalists of all time.
Hi Ashley, got a song “go on and cry” by bloodstone.
It will make cry. Get the box of tissues.

Listen to freebird live Buy limit skinned
eh, I prefer the ORIGINAL The WHO. Try "Heaven and Hell" Live from wildwood - THAT'S THE REAL DEAL HOLYFIELD.
Where are you from?
All Who vids should have Keith Moon in them . 🤑
it is British slang so unless you have a understanding of it you may not guess the meanings
I'm very sure that the studio version is much better than this one. !
You have to be high to even listen to this kind of music and I mean real high!!😩
Well, get high!!
