I just found your channel, (my lucky day) and had to leave a note of appreciation. I’m a retired jazz musician and composer and completely new to making visual art but I feel like this is a second Spring for me creatively! Thank you for your generosity and talent, it means a lot to a beginner. I look forward to following you and spreading the word about your channel to my friends in art.

Thank you so much. Your kind words really mean a lot to me! Have fun painting and if you have any questions along the way let me know. I’ve taught for a long time and love helping people in the journey of self expression.

So interesting. Thanks. What paper do you use for making collage elements ?

Hi Rob, I use 80 lb drawing paper. After my painted papers dry I stick them under books for a bit. The paper takes the paint really well and works great for collage. Check out my other videos where I show lots of techniques all using the same paper. Thanks for watching!

Great ideas. Did the audio drop out in the middle of the video?

I hear what you mean. I think it's that I used music that I didn't have the correct license for so it got stripped out. I think most of my voiceover is still there it's just the music isn't. Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not sure what the music is because I use free stuff from the UA-cam audio library or other free resources that I download. I can look for it specifically the next time I'm editing a video and see if I can give you more info. Thanks for watching!

I'm using 80 lb drawing paper. Yes, you can use this technique on canvas. You can see me use it in my paintings, here, ua-cam.com/video/-EEaB5H9HDs/v-deo.html&feature=share&EKLEiJECCKjOmKnC5IiRIQ and here ua-cam.com/video/UYf5YjZzOqY/v-deo.html&feature=share&EKLEiJECCKjOmKnC5IiRIQ and here ua-cam.com/video/GHvOCQx28P8/v-deo.html&feature=share&EKLEiJECCKjOmKnC5IiRIQ

You can make paint transparent by mixing it with water or an acrylic medium such as airbrush medium. Thanks for watching!
