This is what the internet is the best for. Learning something new
And porn 😅
Every craft person needs to watch this. I’ve used foam brushes the wrong way for years
Thanks for the info!
Out of 20 videos I’ve watched this has been the most helpful. Working with water-based polyurethane had great difficulty in getting a smooth finish until you taught me how to use a sponge brush. Thanks!
Really good and helpful tutorial video, no over-exaggeration or unnecessary content. Very informative and concise. Thank you, sirs!
Perfect timing on this video I’m about to try a dye for the first time with foam brushes this weekend. Thank you 😊
This has to be the best video I've seen about the foam brush. Thank you for making it simple and quick. I'm definitely going to like and follow for more great content.
this is actually incredible; I've underestimated foam brushes for as long as I can remember and watching this video once has disproved all I thought I knew, and why I snubbed them for so long.
can't wait to try these tips the next time I do a project. I usually use a foam brush but was using both sides. I was keeping it fairly upright though and not using that upper bevel. They work great with water based poly
I have used foam brushes to apply wipe-on poly's with great success. I would use them very much the same way as you have explained, the dot trick is new, I will keep that in mind and apply it the next time I use a foam brush, thanks!
That is pretty amazing actually. I just read an article that says you can paint a car with these high density foam brushes 🤯. So cool! I have to try.
Great, great video. I really needed this. Very thorough information. Thank you sooo much.
Great video, right to the point. Clear and informative. 👍
Man! what great, simple, but profound little tips that probably help every person who watched this vid.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Im about to blend-stain/poly in 1 on my restaurants front door....
they're 180lb solid western red oak exterior double doors with full glass pane....
I'll see if this technique works as well with an upright surface also....
cuz I AM NOT TAKING THESE OFF THE HINGES AGAIN!
LOL...
I'M 175LB.... EACH DOOR AT LEAST MY WEIGHT EACH!
I'LL LET U ALL KNOW TOM HOW IT WORKS!
CAN'T BE WORSE THAN HOW IVE BEEN DOING FOR YEARS, AND WAS PLANNING ON DOING AGAIN!
THANKS SO SO MUCH GUYS!
You learn something new everyday! I knew I was doing it wrong.
Very good technique. Thanks for sharing.
Very useful advice 👍
So glad I found this video! Thank you.
Great video; learned some new tips didn't even know I needed to know.
Awesome video! Thank you!
Refinishing my first veneer table top and my first coat was a complete mess. After sanding and using this technique, my table top looks glass smooth. Thank you!
Awesome! Glad we could help.
This video is very helpful, could you also please make a video about cleaning this type of foam brush? Thank you very much in advance.
Thank you for the education. Will definitely use this method once I buy a foam brush and apply my final coat of Poly
You and me both
I appreciate it sir🙏
Thank you
Genius. So glad I JUST finished my latest project where I WASN’T doing this 😅
invaluable ty
I love how I can use these brushes for so long and find out that I've been doing it wrong all these years (or at least not as good as I could've been).
Thanks for the video! :)
Well I’ll be. I never knew that. Thanks!
thx
👏👏👏👏
What if you're using paint instead of stain? I feel like the dotting would make a mess seeing you can't take a towel to it.
Foam brushes are not great for paint in my experience.
💟👍👍👍💟
I'm surprised anyone would lay the foam brush flatter than they would a bristle brush.
Who would have thought. I
still not convinced sorry. i don't know what they cost in the states but here in nz they are not cheap. i tried them once and really didn't like the way they laid down the finish. a good quality brush does a better job in my opinion and only costs a few cents and one minute to clean.
Plenty of tools to choose from. Use what works for you.
In Canada I can get 6 of these for $1.50 and everything here is expensive.
I'm guilty as charged, haven't used them right. Lol. Once I sand my tool box a little I'm gona give it another coat of polyurethane, see if this technique works better for me
Now get rid of those CRAP wooden handle brushes and get a $4.00 Wooster pro foam brush
and then come back and do the same video. You'll never do that blotting again because you
won't have to. The Wooster is a whole world of difference, it's truly a pro tool. Worth every penny.
telling all my secrets! !@#@!@#
