Hooray! I was watching for this! Yes, Geoff and Kathy were shooting the video with Eli's help for lighting. This was filmed at Pattycake so I think that Layne and Tony were around helping some.
This became my favorite Geoff song (not an easy feet, with nothing but great ones to pick from!) before he finished the second verse. It's outstanding! Wonderful reaction! Fantasy Geeks rule!💙😊
Yep, it is mostly just Geoff and Kathy making his videos. This one was “more involved”. Kathy took on a bit of video direction and well as the costuming; she had the Gimli helmet, beard, and a prosthetic nose piece custom made for Geoff. Rick Underwood, who is a friend from their theme park performing days applied makeup, hair, and prosthetics. Eli came in and did lighting. Layne and Tony provided the location and set up/takedown help. So six people is a “large crew” for them

So solemn the tale of the dwarves is. I have listened to this so many times since it came out on Patreon, and it makes me cry with the harmonies and the sadness. A true masterpiece. This has become my favorite song from the dwarven songs. Great reaction!
Clamavi De Profundus are fantastic. They are a chorus of gentlemen that sing mostly middle earth type songs. They are made up of mostly baritone and bass. Geoff got his inspiration for the rendition of this song from these guys. He mentions them in the description. My favorites of theirs are: The Last Goodbye. When The Hammer Falls. Diggy Diggy Hole. And this one. But there are so many more wonderful songs.
Loved Gimli making an appearance, then Durin's folks made an appearance before leaving it to Gimli. Remember that both Geoff and VoicePlay have incredible videos for Halloween. Geoff also narrates some of Poe's tales for your listening pleasure.
I can't say I'm a Lord of the Rings guy, but I'm certainly a Geoff Castellucci guy, and this video is awesome! With Spooktober coming up, don't forget about "Jack's Lament," from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's arguably his best work.
