@@saLym-ym7wu actually their range (discounting fry, cause that's cheating) is near the same, but Geoff has a much thicker sound and with an insane control of his voice
@@leopirdas6577 Can't really comment on the control thing, since Geoff has said himself that he isn't the best at using subharmonics. He's also said that he has to do multiple takes to get certain notes.
Because of the techniques they use, Geoff is going to have a thicker sound than tim, but the growl that Tim uses also counts. He also has more experience in a live setting. They're equal in my eyes. Neither is better. Geoff definitely doesn't "beat tim any day" , that's for sure.
Also, tim's highest note is an A5, Geoff highest (that I've heard) is a B4.
@@saLym-ym7wu I'm talking about control across his whole range. And also, you must have not watched the video where Geoff talks about his natural range, in which he, with not too much effort, reaches A5. They both can do A0 through A5, but Geoff has a better sound while doing so.
I think hearing Geoff's lowest notes for the first time just hits the "Factory Reset" button in peoples' souls, it's the only explanation why everyone makes THAT face when they hear it
Geoff is the only bass I've seen people react to like they just shit or creamed themselves. People can mostly shrug off Avi and Tim, but Geoff rattles them.

It doesn't happen that often that I raise my eyebrows that high. It pretty much only happened very few times after that.

In terms of actual voice type, Tim and Avi both have deeper voices than Geoff. Geoff just has fantastic subharmonics.
(all three of them are great btw - I've seen Tim and Avi live, and will see Geoff live as soon as I get the chance)

I love Geoff. Not many of us, and yes I said US, can go that low. One of my favorite things to do while I work is to sing along with him, hitting every note he does.
I'm able to hit quite a few of his low notes, yet not the ones at the top of the low range, if that makes sense. I need to work on my subharms
