I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.
Home Free is the BEST Group going right now. ! speak as a 25 year Professional DJ. All you have to do is "Listen To The Music" that they put out. They are constantly right on melody, timing, and harmony!! Their Beat Boxer is AWESOME!! No wonder their music sounds so good. Keep on "keepin' on" guys and stay the BEST!!
This is my new favorite from Home Free. Can't help but move along with the beat Adam lays down. Doobie's were huge when i was a teenager and i listened to them all the time. I love the Home Free spin on this song. Keep the HF coming Greg. I love your reactions!
As soon as they sign that first note I was ready to jump up and just start dancing.. My God this song is excellent they did this to perfection.. The Doobie Brothers will be proud of this one.. Adam Rupp your beatboxing is absolutely Outstanding.. I literally have chills.. I love this group of men.. Way to go Home Free..🏡🆓🏡🍟
What a fantastic cover, the guys did a great job again. And Adam is just out of this world, phenomenal vocal percussion. Home Free is also masters at not bastardizing a song and still putting their own stamp on it.
I know right!!! It's mind-blowing what they can sound like without instruments. I'm 8 years into being a Home Fry, and I still find myself sitting their with my jaw on my lap when they release new stuff. They are so incredibly impressive. So talented, so skilled, so humble and fill of joy and love, and they are so grateful. Perhaps that's why they can do what they do. 🥰🙏
Freaking fantastic. Oh, those rich, tasty harmonies of Chance and Rob, and Tim's freakishly good bass line, and Austin's lead. Gees, his voice soars so strong he could knock drones out of the sky. Adam. OMG. He beat boxed the hell out of this. His talent is amazing. Always adding new and creative elements to his repertoire. Love this killer cover. Love Home Free! Thanks for a great reaction.
Great Reaction! Our guys kicked ass again! Loved the new sounds Adam added. He looked like he had sooo much fun with this one and I'm glad to see his bandanas are back
@@victorcowboywest I been trying to work up to listening to it because it's him but I've never really liked that song. It's the same way with Colder Weather. I'll listen to it because it's HF but it's not one I've ever really liked.
They are masters of their craft, and no mistake. I really enjoy your reactions -- I can see how much you're enjoying the tunes, and that makes my day. Thank you for all the work you do!
These guys are just the best out there. There isn't a song they can't sing. Adam Rupps's beatboxing is unmatched in my opinion. He is unbelievable!!!!!
They did kill it Greg! Adam was superb and loved Tim’s low notes. Adam was scratching and making all kinds of sound and drumming like crazy! Austin was great. Enjoyed your reaction Greg!😍
This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. And I haven't even mentioned his appearance yet. He's so handsome. I do like that he has his hair a bit longer again and then with that bandana on.
Glad you got around to this one quickly. I said the same thing the day they dropped it; The Doobie Brothers might have released it, but Home Free killed it and brought it back as their own.
I LOVE your reaction to this....actually LOVE your reactions to all of the wonderful music video's. I also LOVE the way you understand music and how it is suppose to make you feel when it is so dang good. You absolutely get it 100%. Thank you for letting us laugh, be emotional & get in the groove with you. I can't wait to see more reactions with the kind of music I grew up with, 50' & 60's, danced & partied to in the 70's & played it all for my kids so they'd know what great music was at one time. Not to many can make this kind of music today. Thanx again Greg. You are so friggin' cute to....teehee!! Peace & Love Always!!
I'm pretty sure that the Doobie Brothers had 3 guitars, a bass guitar, and 2 percussionists. Home Free needed to fill in a LOT of sound. So there is certainly some layering and some reverb, but they make the original sounds themselves!
Greg, love you in your reaction videos!!! Your so real in the comments!!! Love watching your reaction to Home Free!!! They are absolutely fantastic and Adam Rupp is just freakishly remarkable!!! There are just no words to describe the way they make me feel when I watch them!!! BRING IT ON!!!
I've been watching you annualize their videos and I do believe they have a new fan! Keep on listening I've yet to hear anything bad that they do. They are truly blessed, as we are blessed to be able to hear them perform. I'm wanting to see them in person. I've watched their live shows and they're just as good on stage as they are on a recording. There are no words for how talented they are. Pray they always do what they do, at least until l am dead and gone.
Greg, can you believe these guys. It's like they aren't human. How can any group of people do this, the harmony, the astounding sound. I think they are some awesome aliens 🤣😂 😉
This is what I grew up on!! Classic rock: The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Kansas, Three Dog Night, Earth Wind and Fire, Styx....and more! What a fantastic rendition from our Home Free boys!! Thanks for another great reaction Greg!
Home Free is known as the country version of this type of music and Voiceplay is known for their more theatrical version and they also have one of the best bass singer you could ever hear and in their version of "The Ooggie Booggie Song" the bass singer is the center of the musical so please check them out.
They also work a lot with Peter Hollens and those songs are amazing, Peter and his wife are amazing as well, check them out then go check Fox and Hound to they are another husband and wife team that are amazing
Love how you got into this rendition! I really didn't listen to country... until I heard these guys. Loved them in concert, going again next month - they're quiet fun in addition to being great musicians. You should check out their version of "Try Everything" from the movie Zootopia... amazing to hear live.
Listen to the original by the Doobie Brothers. Just saw the Doobie Brothers in concert June 19. You not know how MANY times it takes to be this perfect
They did a song called" Ring of Fire" That is the sound they are good at , and they have another Bass singer that is good with them but just wait to the end of the song
If you want old songs that will make you rock you should check out The Guess Who... "These Eyes". and. "American Woman" I was 13 years old the first time I heard these songs and was hooked.
Your Home Free reaction videos are fantastic! If you haven't heard "Ain't goin down till the sun comes up" by them you are missing out on one of there best songs.
Speaking of blue, try Home Free's upgrade of Blue Ain't Your Color. While you're at it please do their upgrade of Helplessly Hoping and their original Love Me Like That.
LOVE YOUR REACTIONSTO THESE AWESOME GUYS!!! I NOTICED THAT THERE ARE QUITE A FEW OF THEIR OLDER VIDEOS YOU HAVE NOT REACTED TO THAT I THINK YOU WOULD LOVE. JUST TO NAME A FEW WOULD BE HILLBILLY BONE, SOLD, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (AN ORIGINAL) AND LOVE TRAIN.
Adam Rupp makes every sound from the original song they don't usually match so well with the original but this one is not as old as the others so they didn't have to do as many updates to the sound

Kudos to all the guys but WHOA Adam!!!!! Adam is blowing me away HOME FREE did a great job of modernizing this 1972 DOOBIE BROTHERS classic song.

a real bop for me way back in Jr High in 1972.....and now Home Free elevates the Doobie Brothers original
I'm pretty sure that the Doobie Brothers had 3 guitars, a bass guitar, and 2 percussionists. Home Free needed to fill in a LOT of sound. So there is certainly some layering and some reverb, but they make the original sounds themselves!

I was 13 years old the first time I heard these songs and was hooked.
Fun fact the guys have to bring some equiptment like mics and their own speakers because Tim has blown sound systems during concerts with his bass LOL
Tim is also adding to the beat it appears. Adam must be teaching the others, and I love it. And great mixing is being done
Your Home Free reaction videos are fantastic! If you haven't heard "Ain't goin down till the sun comes up" by them you are missing out on one of there best songs.
You need to see them in person. Listen to When a man loves a woman 🔥🔥🔥
You might want to watch house party by Home Free. Check out Tim's bass notes on this one. Lol
Amazing 👍👍💯
thats gold Jerry , pure gold
You should check out the live video of Tim blowing the speakers at one of their outdoor concerts.
They are so good that you forget there is no band.
Doobie Brothers….they rock!
Believe it or not, Adam (the beatboxer) added those high slides. 😀
Speaking of blue, try Home Free's upgrade of Blue Ain't Your Color. While you're at it please do their upgrade of Helplessly Hoping and their original Love Me Like That.
They can out Doobie the Doobie Brothers. 😍
Reaction to "Try Everything" from the movie Zootopia. Home Free is incredible

They went to Infinity and Beyond on this one...I am still on cloud 9 on this 1.☺️💥💥
Adam Rupp makes every sound from the original song they don't usually match so well with the original but this one is not as old as the others so they didn't have to do as many updates to the sound
Those high notes are coming from Adam Rupp, the beat boxer
Home Free --> The Day the Music Died!!! Definitely worth a listen...
Hi Greg, thought you might want to try Home Free with Peter Hollens doing a U2 song I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
