  • I had posted this video in the past, however, I went thru a financial crunch & couldn't afford the internet. I had to delete my account cause I couldn't monitor it. Now that I'm back on my feet I want to re-open an account and start again, hopefully, for a long time.
    Sorry about taking your DeFranco Family memories away.

      And this song..at least it doesn't have the immortal lyric(from the Steve Miller song of the same name).."Abra..abracadabra..I wanna reach out and grab ya.."No song should ever be titled Abracadabra.Ever.

I was turning 7 years old then. So until today, it’s been 48 years since I’ve heard this! So yes, it’s ok to like this whether you’re young or old. 😉

    Oh and by the way it's funny how these songs make me think of similar artists. Speaking of bubblegum music at its best and and yes I freely admit that I love bubblegum music-- who else loves The Archies? As a kid, I had the 45 rpm (vinyl) record "Sugar, Sugar" and listened to it over and over. Good times!!!😅

    • @oldgordo61
      @oldgordo61 6 місяців тому

      They were from Port Colborne Ontario Canada and for short time were very popular than sort of faded into obscurity. I supposed they were Canada's answer to the Osmonds or Jackson 5 thought they had thier own style. They never really became mega huge stars and perhaps that was for the best. There is a video of Tony Orlando and his brother visiting thier hometown and giving an interview to one of the local stations in the 2010s. Tony interacted with the fans signing autographs and signing his iconic song Heartbeat. Still gracious humble and down to earth.
