    This made me look at what I have on my suits fir the first time in a good while.
    Looks like I'll be reworking some of them!

    Shield use battery a lot especially when recharging. You can keep alive in a non modded dominator for over 20+ mins when the shield is off. Improved Battery Capacity only help if you don't have recharge port nearby or need to rise your Shield often
    As a stealth player. Reduced Tool Battery Consumption actually gives you longer operation time than Improved Battery Capacity (Yes, you can use both to max it out).
    Here's the scenario:
    - Your battery have 100 power and your tool will use 10 power each time
    - Reduced Tool Battery Consumption -50% makes the tool to use 5 power (you've double your usage)
    - Improved Battery Capacity increase 50% of your battery pool to 150 (you can use your tool 15 times)

    Having just started on foot gameplay I found your video interesting and helpful. I’ve been playing regularly since 2016 and grew tired of the normal gameplay loops and hid away mining solo or doing exo stuff. This on foot game play whilst very grindy…if you make the grind part of the gameplay there’s a whole lot of fun I didn’t realise was there…crazy huh..just got my Mav suit to G4, just those darn manufacturing instructions to grind..nice vid, I’ll be checking your playlist for sure .o7

    I like videos that show what happens when u press buttons so that explain implicitly or explicitly what happens when doing stuff. True tutorials I mean yeah.
    And also not so cool jumping here and there when scavenging considering that Ai should see you including sentinels..So.. it's a bit of a immersion killer.

    Could someone explain combat movement speed bonus as neither frontier explanation or this guide are explaining it clearly ? Thanks

    • @GadnokBreakerofWorlds
      @GadnokBreakerofWorlds  Рік тому +2

      It removes the movement penalty when aiming down sights. When you ADS in Elite you walk slower, with the mod you jog while aiming. Useful for all combat situations, crucial for PvP ground combat; you're harder to hit while you aim.

    As someone who has logged over 35 first scans on EXO biology I can tell you you are in the Artemis suit for hours but it does pretty well at class 3 with no modifications. I don't have any suits above generation 3 yet. I have an unlocked any suit engineering and things seem completely different from the originally were. I was one of the first to play Odyssey and it seemed like materials were a lot easier to get ahold of but all of those were taken away when it went public. After that I stopped playing for a while. My dominator 3 tends to have to be recharged during combat maybe twice if I make it through the whole high combat scenario without dying once. My strongest weapon is only a generation 3. I'm trying to figure out how to unlock the first engineers for suits now. I have spent hours in the stock suits and they do pretty well as long as you're smart about your use. I tend not to use the SCV as much when I'm scanning for life. With an Artemis 3 I find that I can scan one complete cycle before I have to recharge so that means I can get three scans of the same biology in and finish that scan sequence before I go back to my ship. I'm looking to get my exploration up more because combat is pretty damn easy as it is for me. I usually make about 10 million a good round with my normal level three suit.

    • @SteveSiegelin
      @SteveSiegelin 2 місяці тому

      If you're dying during night combat then try turning your flashlight off. I never run my flashlight but I don't have night vision. That would be handy when I'm exploring though to get rid of the damn fog.

      I gathered all my mats by taking missions in Anarchy systems, and farming specific settlements in those systems. A popular one is "Iah Bulu". For every mission where you go to a Anarchy faction's settlement in an Anarchy system, turn off the alarms, loot lockers & data ports then pull the power regulator.

    I'm trying to make a combat-focused maverick for the new AX reactivation missions. I bought a g3 maverick with night vision, and I'm thinking of modding it with shield regen, ammo capacity (for the missile launcher), and damage resistance, depending on whether or not the damage resistance mod applies to the new thargoid revenant scavengers. If it doesn't then probably sprint duration.

      I agree, but odyssey content is easy even with wrong mix of modifications, I can complete a high intensity ground conflict zone with G3 gear with zero mods and I'm not very skilled FPS player, I can also sweep a threat 3 settlement with G3 maverick with zero mods and again, I'm not very skilled stealth player. no mods needed for artemis whatsoever.

    why back pack on maverick im 3rd day just started to do upgrades im full of materials not even taking any more as im struggling with data, have g4 already + quite steps and thinking to put on night vision , improved battery and instead of back pack i guess jump or ammor or shield regen. Just finished to get data for back pack but i dont see why i would need it ? or im missing something? And sprint as well i dont see reason as you can bunny hoping same speed as sprint and dont use stamina

      Extra Backpack doubles your inventory, so that's 60 mats & 20 data. You'll learn to take every item you see that are tradeable with a bartender, and trade up for the rarest mats you need 100s of. Example: every Optical Lens is 5 barter cost, trade them for Tungsten Carbide & Weapon Components.

    I don't think Night vision is necessary on an Artemis suit. I think reduced power tool consumption for the biology scanner is probably the better pick. But that's just my personal preference

    New player's question:
    What about quiter footsteps instead of improved jump assist on the Maverick?
    And what about Night vision instead of damage resistance on the dominator

    • @GadnokBreakerofWorlds
      @GadnokBreakerofWorlds  Рік тому +1

      I've since built a Maverick with both quieter footsteps & improved jump and it's great for settlement sneaking. You can build several Dominator suits and put Night Vision on the one you'll use in dark battles, I suggest damage resistance on most Dom builds for the combat buff.

    2:12... do folk really run between biologicals! hahaha what? madness! I use an srv and external cam and do it faster that way.5:11 no you won't. Take it from me, i have spent teh last few weeks ONLy doing deep space exo past colonia. You literally dont' need to update this suit at all. Just make sure you have an srv. I think howeve rthsi is teh wrong vid for me. Is there a vid for actually unlocking these engineers and guide on what mats to collect (or any cheats to skip All of this grind "gameplay" ?)

  • @JG27Korny
    @JG27Korny 2 місяці тому

    battery capacity and ammo is useless in the ground battles where are ammo boxes and recharers all over the place. damage resistance is useless after the shields are down, mere 10% will not save you.
    The best is to run fast and jump better to increase the mobility.

  • @WhoTheLoL
    @WhoTheLoL Рік тому +2

    You will be running around a lot? In Artemis? Who is dumb enough to waste time running around in Artemis? Land -> SRV -> drive to sample -> exit to scan -> SRV -> drive to next sample -> repeat until fed up with this crap -> recall ship. You should never need to spend more than 1 minute in Artemis. The sheer thought of running for 2 minutes to traverse 1km at the snail pace of Artemis running speed, when I can cover the same distance in 20 seconds in an SRV (including getting in and out), is making me sick. I know Elite is a massive waste of time anyway with the supercruises and all, but respect your life at least a little bit and don't waste time running around in an Artemis suit, sheesh.
    Also, what's up with that juggling Aphelion and AR-50? Just git an intimidator with scope and you one-shot everything from that distance. I would understand if you were engaging enemies at proper medium-to-long-range distances, at which point it could technically make sense, but in point blank range it's nonsense.

      Good luck driving your SRV in mountain tops looking for fungoida at 5km+ apart. Quicker to run and "fly" jump than manoeuvre a vehicle through cliffs and mountains.

    • @WhoTheLoL
      @WhoTheLoL Рік тому

      @@frankshailes3205 I did some (~3bn creds worth of) exobiology over the last two months and indeed the srv part of my comment is no longer valid. Once you get a properly fast and maneuverable ship, srv becomes ineffective. That said, 95% of exobiology is still done by just landing next to samples and cases where you actually have to run more than a few seconds are rare, even in case of fungoida hunts in steep mountains, unless you take an inappropriate ship (i.e. ship with too large a footprint that would have a particularly hard time landing in rough terrain).

    • @kudosbudo
      @kudosbudo 6 місяців тому

      @@frankshailes3205 No it isn't. source = 1000 plus hours climbing mountain tops in srvs before exo biology and before the better scorpion srv for shits n giggles. Everyone sucks at srv driving cos nobody practices it in ED. Oh yeah you can also fly SRVS if you get good enough. I spend more time in the air in my SRV than the floor when going fast. Also spent most of my time recently doing ex bio in srv and yeah its not an issue at all.

    I ended up with too many energy cells, so I had to stop collecting them - and this was with no engineering. I really don't think the battery mod is worth it, when you could have more useful mods.

    • @SAFeCRACKeR09
      @SAFeCRACKeR09 Рік тому

      That all depends on which suit and what you're doing. I'm planning on going on a long exploration exobiology journey and won't be able to buy or scavenge energy packs so the battery upgrades will be worth it.
