Gail I love watching you. I dont comment all the time because my hands are just ready to fall off at this point but I want you to know you can always count on my view 😘
These are all so different, I love this one. Learned a lot but more so that there is no problem changing while still wet and getting creative. Thank you
My thanks to Dirty! This was very inspirational! Never thought that much paint could be a good thing! And I have to admit when you touched up the vast white area, I would have done the same! This pulls you in and takes you on a wonder filled ride! Well done!
I love love love this painting, like you I absolutely love the lower part, the colours there are gorgeous, my very favourite colour combination in everything, thank you Gail, for your generous sharing, one of these days I’ll get my courage, and contact you for private lessons 🤔😘
Gail your paintings take my breath away! I am so inspired to try pour painting again. I've done a few but they were disappointing and I've just been sitting on the sidelines watching other people make beautiful art. I had to laugh at your admonition about not inhaling thru the straw, it sounded like it was coming from experience lol!
Nice! Good instructions and wonderful results. I had recently purchased some of the Folk Art and wondered how it would perform. It worked well for you! Have a blessed day.
Very cool, Gail! Oh yeah, I've stuck the paint end of the straw in my mouth a couple of times. It's not as bad as accidentally brushing your teeth with "Icy-Hot", but neither that nor paint are recommended by your tastebuds! At least I can laugh at myself. Thank you for the super tutorial and the lovely painting!! Hugs ~Cheryl
Loving these colors as well! Great tips and instructions also! I had to laugh at the "straw" tips. I have walked away with blue lips before.. NOT FUN! Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous!!!, this style of painting is fairly new to me, I have seen it used once or twice before but never like this. This painting is among the most beautifully done.😊
This was a great talking one. I felt right there with you as you told what you were thinking and and revealed your changes. It was a wonderful piece. Would it be possible to pull the camera back and see the whole painting at the end?
Gail, what a wonderful paint. Love the waterfalls in it. I did a swipe the other day with metallics extreme sheen and I also like copper. I had a black base and I thought of you while I swiped. I thought what would Gail do. Well I was to scared to smear. But I did bring in a little paint with the sharp skewer. I also had to add a little more paint lines and swipe again. But it came out pretty and I'll resin it maybe. Keep your videos coming. Thanks.
Love watching you paint...cool techniques. Do wish however you would pan out farther so we could see the whole piece. We catch snatches when it does that quick snap but not able to see it as a whole.
This is gorgeous. Love, love these colors, gorgeous piece Gail! 👍 Do you choose your colors based on opaqueness and transparency? Do you ever scrape off what you don’t like, or do you keep adding paint over paint? Great video Gail. Thank you for panning out with the camera to see the entire canvas. I like to see the top and bottom of the canvas. I like the idea of adding Floetrol to my bottle of water. 🤔 👍🎨❤️
I have scraped the canvas not usually with a swipe because my pain ends up being so thin by the time I've taken the paper towel across the surface that I can add more .. I I have scraped a ring pour.. a flip cup just because of the volume of paint on the canvas
Gorgeous colors and swipe! The overall effect is beautiful. I was wondering if you ever use black semi-gloss house paint instead of the Artist's Loft Flow Acrylic in black?
New tonight to your channel, and I am amazed by your work. Another of your videos, you talked about flooding the canvas with Floetrol first and using it as a base coat. Do you let the Floetrol dry first, or do use a flip cup etc. when it is wet? I live in the California desert where it is hot in the summer. Do you think it is a good idea to ad a little GAC 800 to the paints and base coat to keep them from drying out too fast? Thanks so much!
You can use a stick ..but the advantage of the palette knife is you have a flat surface of the palette knife to sort of swipe parallel to the surface of the paint and it moves more paint.. A stick you don't have the opportunity to be parallel to the paint.. It can be used.. but gives a different effect..
Gail...Loving this piece & the colors. I have a question. I know your paints aren't super thick, but you didn't pour off excess base & you added a lot of paint without tipping off excess paint. How do you keep the painting from cracking with so much paint left on the canvas? Or at least it appears that way. I know you use some Gac800, but is that all the is to it? I'm sure you remove some paint via the swipes, but before I attempt anything like this, I'd like to be sure. Thank you!
I love the colors of your paintings. They are always so awesome and inviting.
Very beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful!! Thank you for all the encouragement you give us! And for sharing!

Thanks so much Tammy.. Means the world to me...
Take care of those lovely hands Tammy! I know they must hurt...have you tried Voltaren? It helps me!
Gail, I love the blue color! It really makes your paintings pop! So beautiful!❤❤❤

The more practice you get the better you get at seeing what you like
Fantastic only just found your videos just love the composition.

I haven't used it yet... I do have a gallon that's sitting there and I'm a little nervous about using it but I may have to ...I use a lot of black
You are amazing

Love, love, love this piece! How long can you wait before coming back in and adding more paint?
I think I usually try not to go beyond 10 minutes..
Five stars1
You used regular floetrol (US)?
Beautiful! What kind of house paint? You used a Palou knife. Could you also use a stick? Thanks for sharing.
I am in Canada so I used to Lux acrylic or latex semi-gloss white paint

Kelly B Stutts I know it looks like a lot of paint.. but I have never had one crack.. My mix is a touch on the thinner side I guess..
@@GailBurstynLifeInSplatters Whatever you are doing works. Do you ever use GAC800 like Cathleen Osmore whose paints are also relatively thin?
@@GailBurstynLifeInSplatters Saw your smash video today too. Are you paints silicone free? I wanted to ask that one too.
Gail, this is gorgeous! Did you thin the white housepaint with water? did you mix it with floetrol? Thank you!
Yes I always mix the house paint with floetrol and a little bit of water
As you add more paint on top of paint is it more likely to crack when dry if so how do you remedy that.
Hi Gail, love the painting. You mentioned ‘Liquid mirror’. Is this paint and where do you buy it from?
Candi Walder Liquid Mirror is a specialty paint made here in Canada by DeSerres.. Quite pricey.. but it does some wonderful things.
Hi Gail, is your white house paint a semi gloss or a satin enamel?
I use a semi-gloss latex or acrylic paint
This is so very beautiful. Reminds me of the old masters paintings.
Wow.. thank you..
