That was it!!! Brake light fuse! But I did a brake fluid change/bleed and rear diff speed sensor replacement whether I needed it (and that is never a bad deal) or not.... Fresh to go!!!! Thanks!!

Great and helpful video Sir, but I wish I could see how it is done on a 1st gen 1991 dodge dakota. Seems they don't have those handy fuse box locations like yours does.
So I have a 99 2wd and I have both abs and brake light on. Along with that the Speedo and odo don’t work. I deplced the abs sensor on the diff but no fix.
@@angelcasarez3507 or abs sensor on the wheels . They not hard to replace . On 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 we last week replaced driver side abs sensor . Same lights were on too, after replacing the sensor everything back to normal
Before this problem was fixed….. did all your brakes work properly? Or did only your front brakes work or did only your back brakes work? I have this problem…. Abs and brake light on. Front brakes engaging…. Not back brakes… replaced wheel speed sensor on back axel… no fix… 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie…. I am at a loss and need help. It’s my only car :(
Yes my brakes work fine when my fuse was blown . My problem was in Trailer connector shortage. But I did have similar problem my rear brakes worked but front won’t :) I replace master cylinder and problem was solved.
@@1RedlineExpress I took the abs module out and the brake light went off but the abs light is still on. I checked to see if back wheel brake was still turning when brake applied and it was still turning
Hey my dash lights went out and tailights went out too bc i installed subs which i got pulled over bc my taillights were not working i need help with this one
@@jimmywarden6320 I think it has to do something with your parking brake , but I’m not 100% . I need to connect my diagnostics tool to tell you more accurate answer.
@@jimmywarden6320 if it’s just a sensor glitching or going bad. Yes, you can drive like that. Have you check your brake fluid level? But to be safe, I would recommend to check my professional..

Have you try to replace speed sensor? It’s located on the rear deferential on top .

Try to replace relay . They are in a fuse box under the hood.

Abs sensor on wheel I think , but u need a obd2 scanner , some scanners can tell u on which side sensor bad.

It was a while ago , I believe it was a 175 but used my friends shop account :) truck was 1997 dodge 3500 Diesel 5.9L

Did you check fuse ?
U have couple fuse boxes , one on the left side in your dash , second under the hood . But I believe taillights fuse in the dashboard .
I have a 4th gen and it has the brake light on maybe this is what's wrong with mine
Check if your brake lights always on ? Check brake fluid level, check your parking brake switch if its manual.
