Scotty I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in Jan. 2021 so money got tight and time definatly got short. I've building and working on my cars for over 40 years. This new age of computer cars is overwhelming and then I found you. Thank you car God. You have helped me out over a dozen times so far and with time being of the essence I want to thank you. I have to say you make life alot easier and I've never failed with the school of scotty. 2 thumbs up!!
Scotty - you are credit to "honesty" and sadly you don't see that much in people anymore. I have a State-Registered Animal Care & Rescue (non-profit) using a 2000 Ford van with 275,000 miles, that I have to keep running and on the road safely. I can't tell you how many times I've been ripped off by mechanics in the past working on it, or shall I say, suspected I was ripped off by a mechanic for hundreds of dollars in what seems like such a simple repair. With the CRP123 scanner you recommended I can at least feel confident that I am paying for what the problem really was. Thanks for the "honesty" about how to identify and possibly fix an ABS problem. Keep up the great videos - I am recommending your stuff.
There's a UA-cam mechanic that says he charges $180/hour for any work done on/with a car. Just reading a check-engine code is $180. Even if the light is on because of a low battery, it's $180 just for him to tell you that. Comparing the cost of the tool to mechanics like that is no contest; tool wins. Makes me really appreciate all the information Scotty shares. Thanks Scotty.
Auto Zone or any box auto parts store can check your auto CHECK ENGINE LIGHT for free. Take that $180 & buy a cheap scan tool, such as this one. You can even split the cost with relatives, saving them time & money, too.

HI Scotty . Im in the process of troubleshooting the several problems on my 2004 Pontiac grand prix GTP. Ive been looking for a supercharged 3800 series 3 car for several years now. There weee many problems that i have tackled myself. Like the rear passenger window regulator . Cabin air filter , 3 wheel ABS bearings ,. Ive disassembled the sun roof ot determine that the drivers side track regulator is stripped ,. I will address that problem at a later date . What's more important right now is understanding how to tackle the ABS , TRACION CONTROL ,STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEMS. The brake fluid is really dirty and there are many leaks on the motor, all due to lack of responsibility to maintain the car . So i know that I my have bought a black hole but I'm the kind of person who likes to learn about things . Learn how to rrpair things . But in order to repair such things ,I must have knowledge of how all these systems work. Before I spend piles of cash on items that I think are the problems. I have a good mechanic who I trust to work on my other vehicles but im at the point in life where i want to learn to do the work myself. Is there a really informative book that you might be aware of that you can suggest for me to get ? Im at the point of reasoning were why should i spend $1400.00on a new ABS control module when there might be a better diagnosis procedure to follow that might find out exactly what the problem is. Im thinking that if I totally dismantle the entire braking system, clean every part inside and out, that that might slove the problem. But we all know that simply cleansing parts doesn't bring them back into factory specifications. They are just worn out and need to be replaced. Now the topic of endless money pitt . Do you think that I should just stop this project due to the projected costs ? Or would you suggest that I continue with my plan of attack, to eliminate one problem at a time using logic ? I dont like making things into gods . All i wantrd was a reliable, durable engine, and the 3800 V6 is good. And the 4T65E HD tranny isn't really what I wanted but the other option was to get a G8 with the 3.6 VVT and a manual transmission. I thank you for all your advice and opinions. I understand what you mean about turbo's,superchargers over stressing engines. But it was available for sale and there where 2 other 2007's that were also for sale but allthough cheaper $900. &750. The 900 one had 350000km, and the other had 3 and 4th transmission problems. Anyway Scotty i love your channel . Your recent stories about Ford ,Toyota and Honda . Im totally dismayed with GM and i cant ever see myself buying another new product from them ever again.
Please don't laugh at me, I'm just helping out a friend that made the mistake of purchasing a 2014 Nissan Sentra sv. Will to his surprise, He is crying because the ABS light just want go away. I don't have access to a scan tool anymore. Mine was stolen. He is short on funds after replacing the wheel speed sensors. He paid some guy that said he knew what he was doing. long story short. My friend got rept off for a repair that did not fix his ABS issue. Is there an auto parts store that would scan an ABS light for free? Thanks. Love your show. You know your stuff, keep up the good work.
Scooty. I need that diagnostic. Because I have a Lexus is 350 with the abs on . If you can help me that will good. Thanks a lot I always watch your video. And learning new stuff..thanks again god blessed you..
I love your Chanel Scotty. You helped me so much with fixing my cars. I'm a disabled person. I love to win one of theses scanners. It be a blessing to me.God bless you Scotty
Two questions. 1) is it true that the 07 LS460 Front Right ABS Speed sensor requires a new bearing? 2) What replacement brand would you recommend. Thank you!!!
Great video. My 2013 Ford Fusion has the abs light on, traction control, and brake light on. They popped up when the wiring harness for the engine coolant sensor broke and was fixed. I did a full brake job, checked that the wheel sensors all read the same with Forscan. Have zero dtcs on Forscan and cannot figure this problem out. If I engage the electronic parking brake the lights turn off tell the epb is disengaged. Would reseting the ABS module in Forscan be worth a try and would the module need to be recalibrated if reset with Forscan. Thanks for your time.
Hey Scotty, I have a 2003 Yukon, throwing ABS codes. I was removing the module ti. Re solder the pins inside. I stripped two of the Torx screws in the top of the module, so I had to pull the entire unit. I lost all fluid. I figured since I went that far ,I would replace all calipers shoes and rotors. Hard ware is in. 2 pumps I get full pedal, start engine no brakes. Does this scanner do an auto bleed do the ABS SYS.
I’ve a 2021 e450 class c motor home, had to replace the battery and after installing the new one and starting it the abs light is on. Wasn’t before replacing the battery so is there a reset for that light to go out? Coach has been stored all winter.
Scotty, i have a 2005 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with the abs light on. Its throwing a C1230 code for the rear speed sensor. Changed the sensor, still throwing the same code. Now the brake light is on. I was told that it was my abs control module under the hood. I'm not mechanically inclined
Scottie I really need that scanner to fix my 2003 Chevy impala LS, my abs and traction control both is on , I have changed all 4 wheel hubs and repair the wires , dont know what else to do
Having problem for a while now on my car on the ABS system and thank you very much for the videos...helps so much...but really need a scanner to get the ABS lights off for good👍

This is where I come and find the answer to my auto problems. You show me how to think research diagnosis the problem no just change parts. Thank you for reaching me a much better mechanic. I have to say, I have been wrenching for years and do it professionally. My business is juniors mobile mechanics LLC. I have been using this same scanner for several years and it’s never failed me. I often recommend this same scanner to my customers because it’s so versatile and cheap and it helps me get a better idea from them what’s happening prior to even coming out.
HEY BROTHER, SCOTTY, PLEASE RUN FOR PRESIDENT AND FIX AMERICA AGAIN AND MAKE IT RUNNING AGAIN,👍🇺🇲
Sign me up for the scan tool!

This video is 5 years old my first time watching this one on abs.thanks for the video and information
I'm having this exact problem and wanted to buy a scan tool that would work and not cost so much. Thank you Scotty!
I love your videos, after 50+ years of working on cars I always learn someting new.
Two questions. 1) is it true that the 07 LS460 Front Right ABS Speed sensor requires a new bearing? 2) What replacement brand would you recommend. Thank you!!!
Thanks, Scotty. I’m having an ABS problem and believe it is a bad Speed Sensor. This tool will tell me which one to replace. Thanks!
SCOTTY IS THE BEST!!!!
Scottie I really need that scanner to fix my 2003 Chevy impala LS, my abs and traction control both is on , I have changed all 4 wheel hubs and repair the wires , dont know what else to do
Having problem for a while now on my car on the ABS system and thank you very much for the videos...helps so much...but really need a scanner to get the ABS lights off for good👍
This is exactly what I need as I'm dealing with an abs problem right now. My scan tool only tells me its a wheel sensor problem, but not which wheel.
I am a fan and subscriber. I have no issue in understanding this man. His English is very clear not like some British accent is hard to catch with. I am not English native but I enjoy listening to this man. By the way, cool glasses and video presentations 👏 👏 👏
Hey Scotty thanks for all the helpful videos. I'm teaching my son how to work on cars so when he needs something fixed on his car one day he'll have an idea on how to do it. Whenever I have trouble with something we refer back to your videos. Once again thank you. 👍
Scotty's a great salesman - he's done a great job selling this scan tool!
