Great video tutorial series, and thank you for it! Please refer me to a online video or online class for learning these software programs to design my own mold model from scratch.
Thank you. Glad you liked it! @WMBayouLures has a good beginers guide. I wish I saw it before I started making baits. Would have saved me a ton of frustration. There arent really many other tutorials with voiceovers. Theres a bunch of beginner fusion 360 videos but it was very confusing to translate into making lures. I would just download fusion 360 and play around with it while following the videos until you get the hang of it. @EngineeredAngler s master class series is a huge help on how to make the lures swim the way you want to. I will link them both below. ua-cam.com/play/PLEdNibYdUWY4_T9DV9AyToNx2U_9gaAKj.html&si=lK8hSNneIFSqxwKa ua-cam.com/play/PLEVBv_zywucSP5GuSEwt6x2SJ0K94u6rH.html&si=0_muNb-kWRx0pdhx
Great to see the guide being continued. I just got into sla from fdm for my molds. However i'm having an issue: printing a mold in a vertical position with sculpt turns out to deform the entire z axis. Bolt holes are are rather oval with the curvature towards the build plate printing correctly, but the other side not, and in my swimmer the paddle tail thicknesses is distorted to the point of being almost non existent. Any tips ?
Yeah I gotta little distracted in between part one and two. Part 3 won’t take nearly as long. I’m gonna print it out today. If you want my email is linked in my bio on UA-cam. You can send me some pictures and I can try to help you out. It sounds like an under-curing issue though. What printer are you using and what is your exposure time. Also what temperature are you printing at.
Not really sure what a mag draft is butI definitely want to do some highly detailed open pour swim baits. I’m planning on doing a lure design tutorial soon I might work the open pour into that not quite sure yet.
I'm looking at printing the grub mold you made in thingiverse, my question is roughly how much resin would be used for all 5 pieces. Says about 370ml, but doesn't seem right. Sry this would be my first import of a file. Thanks
I’m a little confused by the 5 pieces there should be 6 mold halves. I think I forgot to upload the molds from the video to thingiverse I will fix that as soon as I can. That might be the issue you are having. It should come out to two bottles of Syria tech sculpt but I would have an extra bottle on hand just in case.

Hello, I was wondering if you could do your best to replicate the magdraft swimbait for a FDM 3d printer, also could you please make it an open pour.
