Great little guide. Hope there's a second part coming soon, been using fdm for a long time, but been considering moving into resin as well.

Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately I think it’s going to be a little while for part 2. I moved and don’t have access to my resin printer at the moment. I’m taking a bit of a break but I plan on getting back to the Chanel soon. In the mean time @GulfStreamOutdoors has a resin printing guide I discovered recently that should point you in the right direction.

I used exactly the same printing set. the resin had a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. I set the thermostat to 24-28 degrees and everything was fine in the box, but the heater got very hot and the printing failed.

I need to find a good setting on the thermostat so that the resin is at 25 degrees Celsius

Yeah thats deffinitly what caused your faliure. Where is your temperature probe. Mine is decently high up in the enclosure. If your probe is closer to the bottom the resin temp will be higher due to the temp gradient.

Does it need to be printed in resin or can you use normal 3d printers that use PLA?

You can use a normal one. You can definitely try pla but usually it works out better with more heat resistant plastics
