    Great work and actually very close to what we need to obtain. Can I ask you the timing report? How long does the process take? And the ripping time? Thanks

    • @davidstevens2577
      @davidstevens2577 9 місяців тому

      The time to process was around 10 minutes, and our lasers do not require any ripping time.

      @@davidstevens2577Thanks, I'm actually having some issues about glazing my acrylic panel. I used the out-of-focus trick, worked with every parameter,but the White cast acrylic doesn't really want to get a shiny look...any tips?

    • @bescio80
      @bescio80 6 місяців тому

      I'll Try to explain: since now i printed with a UV printer my embosses,using White ink. It's less precise than the laser, but has a shiny look that the glazed acrylic can't reach. Maybe other materials can be engraved (safely) for Better results?

    It was like you were right next to me talking. When you cut the fish out first I said to myself, why doesn't he do that last? You then said, that the heat can distort the fish.
    Great idea.

    maybe i use the Luban3D to get the image from 3D model and then adjust with inkscape to get like this example video

      Yes! You should be able to upgrade to Ruby. Reach out to your local sales representative to learn more.

    Won't running the laser att 100% massively shorten the lifespan of the tube?

    • @davidstevens2577
      @davidstevens2577 9 місяців тому

      Not and all; the only thing that will artificially shorten a laser's lifespan is if it is not cooled correctly over long periods of running. Running at 100% should not affect the laser lifespan; this may only hold true with some brands, but our core on this machine is made from ceramic and dissipates heat very well!

  • @woodeez
    @woodeez Рік тому

    So how would a file actually be setup to get all three variations?

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  Рік тому

      The file will need to be sent to the laser three times as three separate files located to a fixture or a snap point for alignment. The first file would be the cut file. The second file is the relief or 3D image run in focus to engrave the relief mode engraving, and then a third file with the black and white graphic with relief mode turned off and a Z offset of 0.5” out of focus to glaze the image.

      @@TrotecLaser Sorry Dave, but that wasn't what I meant. I meant how would you create from scratch something like that? How can I use this to do other graphics and achieve the same outcome? Great idea and concept but learning to do design something helps, thank you and hope that clarifies it better.

    I see, you cut acryl on a honeycomb bed, isn't a knife bed better for this?

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  6 місяців тому +1

      This will depend on the acrylic's thickness, the laser's wattage, and the laser-cut acrylic's final use. The honeycomb will leave minor tic marks, whereas a knife bed will reduce this, but in this example, these marks are not noticeable on an application like this.

    • @0Turbox
      @0Turbox 6 місяців тому

      @@TrotecLaser Would cutting with paper or PE foil reduce these marks even more? We can't have a single mark, or we won't sell. Maybe adding some spacer would be the best idea. Btw. we plan with 130w or more.
