    Very insulting to the owner with the question at 21.55 mark. Shows interviewer's stupid biases.

      I wasn't insulting the owner nor was my comment calling out my interviewee in anyway. Its his choice and his bike. My comment was to the guys packaging and selling these premium bikes but only providing a clincher tire. If I were to buy a $20K bike, I was expecting it to come with at least a tubeless set up. Keyword: expecting.

      @@OompaLoompaCycling to be fair, tubeless for road riding is pointless and pretty cringe.
      Stick to a clincher tire/traditional tube set up for overall practicality.

      He's obviously joking, he even said so. He's keeping it light and not trying to insult the owner at all.
      I'm not tubeless on road, and tubes are better but this is such a tiny thing to attack the video about.

    • @iMadrid11
      @iMadrid11 2 роки тому +1

      @@astrayagrarian For overall practicality choose Clincher tires. It's more easy to swap an inner tube on the side of a road when you get a flat.
      But if you want lightweight, best performance and more supple ride, choose Tubular tires. You also get some run flat security to be able to ride a punctured tubular tire on the rims. In case you get a flat while going fast downhill. The only con is carrying a folded spare tubular tire is much larger than a spare inner tubes. Since the tire and inner tube are sewn in together.

    Beautiful bike. Just look at the lines. Agreed with him, arrow bike do come with a more beautiful lines.
    Just feel that he had already spent so much on the bike, he should have just spec for better wheels, like the new Dura-Ace 60mm wheels which the hub is optimise for the new group set. 😀

    The only pitfall to the Venge is that it's harsher than an SL7, allegedly. It is not obsolete at all. It's still one of the best frame available. Especially for a heavier rider that doesn't mind the slight weight difference between the SL7 and the Venge. Pinarellos are very nice but honestly all of these differences are just trivial differences in priorities. You have to understand what Pinarellos did when they developed the Dogma concept. It was about balancing frame rigidity and fork resonance for an "ultimate pro ride". Their aero bikes were completely different (see Indurain and Riis's TT bikes). In fact their original "aero" bike was used in 1984 from squashed steel tubes. LOL. Ridden to Olympic RR Gold. Specialized is a relatively late bloomer but there is no denying that they have some of the best designs right now.

    Flaw of this bike is the price tag which is true from the value perspective. This superbike caters to diehard pinarello fans for heritage and prestige, the rich hype cycle poser and the serious but deep pocketed rider who chiongs for better race results.

    I got my Dogma F a couple of days ago. It's a great bike but at this pricepoint I was very disappointed by the fact you get no powermeter and no garmin mount.
    You have to pay the price for the bike, about $15.000, then another $700 for a powermeter and another $100 for the garmin mount.
    With the S-Works SL7 you get a powermeter... Come on Pinarello..

    It's all small touches they made, but I like the looks of the new Dogma F more than the F12. Everyone goes for the red or the black on black colour scheme. If I was a dentist or owned a software company, I would have bought it in either white or the steel blue. It's like buying a Ferrari in yellow!😂

    If F12 in rim brake version available today will you still want it ? If yes will you still keep your venge ? and will you feel like a downgrade from disc brake to rim brake ?

    • @OompaLoompaCycling
      @OompaLoompaCycling  2 роки тому +3

      Yes. Just to have a feel and be able to comment on how it rides. Curious about the dogma hype. I will have to sell my Venge and recycle that money to getting the F12 (I still think the prices of bikes and components are overly inflated now). Regarding the braking systems - I don't think it's a downgrade. I started off with rim brakes before disc brakes were even available on road bikes. In Singapore, its all flat and i don't need that much of braking power. I avoid riding in rainy days. I have ridden rim brakes in hilly hills in Malaysia like Frasers, Perez, Bkt Hantu, Genting Sempah - no problem.

    The question I want answered is, what’s the Markup on these bikes? I’m sure it’s an obnoxious amount. I love bikes, but feel disgusted when I hear the prices manufacturers are charging these days and can’t help thinking the people who buy such bikes are morons!

    • @davidngqkalone88
      @davidngqkalone88 2 роки тому

      used to work in a bike shop. markup from the bike shop to customer is ~20-40% . it depends on how much qty your bike shop can sell, bike shops that can sell big amts they get a better price from the distributor.
      in perspective its not alot, considering that shops need to buy on credit and that is a big risk. think about how many bikes dont get sold at the end of the season and then sit in the bike shop for years, or get discounted for like 30-40% a few years down the road. Bike Shops dont make alot of money.

      No doubt pinarello makes great bikes but it isn't for everyone. You are a bit over in this comment as I believe you do not know the background of everyone here. Further more deep pocket people don't all go for the pinarello as taste are different. A short history: In Italian cycling, five brands stood out and the old cycling enthusiasts named them 1 King 4 Queens and they are : Colnago (1 king), Bianchi, Cinelli, Gios and De Rosa (4 Queens). Pinarello was only considered to take the place of Gios recently owing to it's popularity and tour results.
