checking out your channel i see in the asian market road bikes are a status symbol. all about the flex. 5k bike vs a 15k virtually no difference in speed/safety/ride comfort. good interview. i am happy that more females are getting into the sport .

Cost of living in Asia is lower. Tax isn’t as terrible as EU and American continents.
That means disposable income is decent here.

Great interview, irrespective of gender. She is eloquent, can elaborate and clearly explain her reasonings (as opposed to a recent interview). She also does a race bike justice, by actually training and racing it regularly! Therefore the expensive bike isn't just a show pony.

I am in love 🥰. The best part was when she said "it make me so happy" x2. So sweet.
Show it to my wife, to justify my present purchase of the 'F'. I told her you love me right! So you want me to be happy😊, right. She just smiles.
    Thanks girl. ❤

Great interview, I agree with the fact that your bike is your transportation and your life is dependent on it. From my first bike which was a Huffy to my latest bike which is a specialized Diverge, I always demanded an extremely robust, durable, and especially fast bike. I ride a lot too and spend many miles and hours on my bike. I keep up with all my components especially with my Cervelo R3 rim brake bike which I use for my MS 150 rides. I have over 12k miles logged on my bikes and am still riding at 72 years old. It’s great fun and my whole cardiovascular system likes it too. I’m a born athlete and choose my passion over sitting around looking at movies etc. you go Girl, keep riding and enjoy it all and don’t stop riding, the sport will keep you young!

Price is relative. Someone making $100K/year looks at a $7 coffee differently as someone who makes $50K/year generally speaking.
If she can afford it and it brings her happiness, thats all that matters.

@JimUe1 guess you have not seen parts of the bike fail at races... the cost of building a race proven and reliable is always costly. Otherwise while people just race the Tour De France on a market bike? All the parts will fall apart after the 1st stage.... maintainence and skills are just part of the equation

Very elitist attitudes to cycling. This is why the sport is not what it used to be. You cycle for therapeutic reasons at the beginning but now it's all about looks and dropping ridiculous overpriced money on bikes. Having an expensive bike won't make you any faster, it's all a mental game you're only as fast as the rider. Please don't promote attitudes like this to the sport because it's a very materialistic outlook and cycling shouldn't be about that, it should be about getting fit, social interactions and seeing new places. Not everyone can afford bikes like this. If you're not pro then you shouldn't need to have a race level bike, you will never achieve the gains. This shallow outlook would really put new cyclists off trying the sport, I have a 12 year old road bike that I look after and I keep myself fit and I can travel just as fast and far as someone with a 12000 dollar bike. You can enjoy cycling and getting fit without spending a lot of money.
