If someone gets annoyed because the tutorial is not 10 minutes its because they came for that, a tutorial, and this has evolved more to a "Derek Experience" which in my opinion is better that a plain ol´tutorial!
This actually feels like a 3D Bob Ross tutorial LOL
Thank you I get that a lot
LMAO
I came here to say that haha
Ooh yeah! Can’t wait
did you change your logo? your old one was amazing 🥺
Turn upppp
I'm subbing to you just for 5:55, you showing how you got yourself into a pickle and how you fixed it is very entertaining and insightful to watch. Thank you for this, I look forward to completing this tutorial and following along your other ones!
This tutorial is sooo good. Don’t change how you do them. So great!
I loved the conversation between you recording and you editing in this one, like the bit when you said this isnt a car tutorial and then a box popped up that said "it literally is" cracked me up, possibly the first time i've laughed during a blender tutorial lol
Yeah lol good times
I can't with your dry sense of humor. I'd watch these even if i didn't know shit ab blender just for entertainment. Honestly love your videos, keep em coming!
Lol tyty
24:17 don't waste my time this is a hobby I can only do during weekends and sometimes after work
You know what you're talking about and I respect that.
srry but u had to watch this intro
I'm actually going to watch your METAL MATERIALSSSSS 🎸🎸🎸🥁 video series after this
This is worst lowpoly tutorial, one of the best to learn how a good designer works. thank you, it's awesome
I just spent 4 hours to follow the first half hour of your tutorial... and thats the best 4 hours i spent in front of youtube...
im a new blender addict... and I must say the mirror part is a fight!!!...
thx for your tutos...
The car is so cool👌
~14:50 Use the car as the Mirror Object instead of changing the origin.
Also, to be able to inset faces properly while mirroring an object: Press B while inserting to bake it a boundary inset. Make sure clipping is on so it doesn't create an extra face when extruding the inset face.
Thanks so much. I was trying to figure out why my wheel was getting mirrored in the wrong way. This solved it!
Actually, seeing you do the little additions has been a big help to me in figuring out stuff in my own modeling. I am loving all your tutorials. Thank you.
Hello, Derek,
that's really cool!
I had a car like this once in 1970
This brings back memories
I'm just about to do that.
Sure to be a cool animation until the finale.
That's really good work you're doing.
Thanks a lot for this tutorial.
I am curious about the final.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Lovely work Derek! I seriously enjoy following along the nitty gritty detailing! That's where I think one learns the most of neat tricks and trains the design eye!
Thank you glad you like that
8:40 I was having trouble with this so I used the knife tool instead and extruded the faces. Did essentially the same thing if anyone else had the same issue
Same here. Is there any explanation for this?
I am a beginner in blender. I just learn various things and shortcuts of blender from your video. Your video is very useful for me and those who watch your tutorial videos.
Man I'm your fan now
You are the BOB ROSS for blender.
The entertainment and educational value I get from these tutorials 😂
please keep making videos like this really helpful a beginner like me and are easy to understand , i saw you dont upload frequently please try to upload atleast 4-5 times a month if not much ... please keep making content really helpful and easy to learn
This is the best channel for a tutorial, all the other channels are just doing timelapses
Thanks Tony
at 7:42 you could select all 4 side windows and press e to extrude s and then x and it will extrude them all in the same size
and i will watch the metal matrial playlist didnt knew you had one
You can extrude along the normals of each face with Alt + E (Extrude along normals)
Nice tutorial
I am a big fan of your tutorials. Can learn a lot of things from a single video of you.
truee. i have too experienced it
7:40 you can press control + e and click extrude along normals
Thank you
Derek Elliott it’s control + f not e
i just want to say thanks for the tutorial
24:14 😂 Derek my man hahaha
Been wanting to make some car models for awhile now. While this isn't the exact style I'm looking for, I've already learned so many techniques and shortcuts less than halfway through the video, thanks!
wow its awesome!
Super awesome
Always so great to see your tutorials
This was a very good tutorial. I just want to say that plz give him some love and support him for more tutorials
I think my favorite part is at the end when the window rolls up - the sound effects had me rollin' (no pun intended)
This tutorial has helped me a bunch more to understand more about edit mode more than blender guru!
The format and presentation of this tutorial is amazing!
Thanks Kevin
MAN, WHY YU SO AWESOME....
thank you so mutch for help me lurn blender ❤❤❤❤
Thanks from the bottom of my heart!
Great tutorial! i really enjoyed making the car.

Thanks Mari
From Today I'm a new fan of you 😀😂
Loved it
Hi Derek, thanks for share it...... can't wait to try this out....
Love the way you teach. Thank you
6:58 After you inset you can chose individual from inset faces panel. Much easier!
Ctrl i to inset, and then I again to toggle individual faces. It saved me a ton of time when I found that out.
Some hotkey dialogue appears at the bottom of the screen depending on what you're pressing.
You can press B while insetting to join boundaries in mirror modifier!
Awesome tutorial! I made the car look pretty cool. Keep checking your channel for the next part SOO excited!
THANKS YOU!!!! You are awesome!!!
It's so coool!
Nice tutoirl thanks sir

I’m glad it wasn’t though 😃 thanks for the help 👍
Bravo!!!!! Very nice, I have leaned a lot!
Does anyone regret subscribing to this channel? As for me I don't ....derek keeps making it simple
Wooo
Great Job!
Thanks for sharing this!
Easy to follow tutorial for someone whose skills lie somewhere between a beginner and intermediate blenderer (if that's a word).
Nice work Derek.
You got it Peter
29:35 how many of you were scared the shit out of this 😂😂😂😂
I was watching this at 1:30 am and my heart almost came up my throat.
Haha I am so sorry that does seem a bit unexpected
@Derek Elliott there is no way THE DEREK-sama replied to my comment
@@ShiroiRyuu24 I pop in, pop out
I dig your personality, you're all over the place and it's pure entertainment with extra knowledge sprinkled on top. Edit; I know more about the mirror modifier and it's jankiness involving object origins because this video. Thank you!
EDITR AGAIN. THe period thing is new to me as well!!
(Sidenote: It's related mmk) I was trying to model a train mind you I haven't used a single mirror modifier (See the first edit) for this, anyway; long story short, I kept trying to scale separate areas and couldn't because I didn't know the period thing to scale along individual origins.
You LITERALLY svaed my life. don't ask how
Edit: Okay Im dead cuz you taught me another thing about the deselecting materials with the tires. Died a little smarter and a little happier tho!
I think it's something like alt or cntr e, then you can select extrude along normals and extrude all those windows at the same time
Alt +E
I knew you wouldn't let us down, nice tutorial as always man. Simple but elegant looking car 👌
U r the best💓💓
Thank u for everything
Thank you

Cool man! Love your work!!

i love this tutoria ❤ 10\10👍beautiful
This was really great, reminded me of R.C pro am. Was good follow and thanks for the extra towards the end. I really like how mine came out, though I strayed from the path a bit. Keep it up.
Nice nice
def a fan thanks for the tutorial Bob Ross :)
With the windows you can insect all the windows so its even by selecting all of the faces of the windows then press "i" twice, and to extrude the faces together u can switch your pivot point to individual origins and then extrude the windows along the normal without doing it one by one.
Hey I am not new to blender but Learned a lot from this very nice
Great tutorial! Thanks for your help. With this, I made a hatchback!
Dopeee
thank you very much!
I felt like Matthew McConaughey is giving the tutorial, you sound just like him
I've heard this
