Elton John - Adam Yauch Dedication
/ eltonjohn
This just shows what a highly respected musician and humanitarian Adam Yauch was. 1980’s, three white rappers accused of being a passing fad, one album Wonders, walked the globe, breaking down stereotypes and barriers bringing beats as raw as botulism and becoming one of the most highly respected groups in the biz. RIP Adam Yauch, I could still cry.
Elton is a class act. I'm sure he's heard their cover of Bennie and the Jets with Biz Markie and Elton probably laughed his ass off. RIP MCA.
Sir Elton is one of the rare entertainers who gave proper credit where it was due to the generation that came after him.
I've heard him talk about how he thought that 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metallica was one of the greatest songs he's ever heard.
One legend paying tribute to another. Love it.
This is why music is my life...how it bridges so many genres and cultures.Im not an elton John fan but have always respected his talent as a great musician. This just goes to show what a great genuine person he is,a great tribute to a an amazing person...R.I.P MCA!
That was really classy. Thank you for posting this. RIP Yauch.
Nice Elton. RIP MCA.
What a amazing tribute from a legend in a different venue of music. Now we are sending positive energy to Mr John, please recovery soon. Regards.
RIP Adam.
Elton - not surprised always the best from you Sir
he said he didn't know much about them... did he actually know any of their music? i'm confused, sorry
@@bobdigi88 some friendships come and go. Imagine how many people Elton John has met throughought his career. Sure his friendship with Blue might be an example of how he tends to make things sound better than they really are. But no need for you to hate on him, i'm convinced he only does things like these in the video cause he is a great loving person, but also a human like the rest of us Who, sometimes just gets tired on relations with certain people.
Thank you Elton!!! Lots of love and blessings to you!!!
Very nice gesture.... bboys had so many great cd's
I'm only just now seeing this.

The world is a lesser place with MCA gone :(
He could have at least covered one of the Beastie Boys songs.
Lmao
Couldn't watch it
fuck! 😓
Why post a quarter of a song?
If you can't stand him, why on earth did you click on this video? And no, I don't really want a reply as I'm sure it will be laced with profanity.
Would have meant more if Elton did a Beastie cover or something...
Slightly different title though, it was "Don't let your son go down on me"
I will repeat my reply to one of your fellow homophobes: Everything you have said goes against Adam Yauch's commitment to compassion and peace.
well...not straight.
I can't stand the vibrato he has now.... sounds like an old tractor trying to start...
tears........
