I agree with the both of you. And the beautiful thing about this song is just about anyone can sing this song without much difficulty as long as long they have some musical talent. It's not too high or not too low for anyone to sing. Audrey Hepburn was not known to be singer and she didn't even sing a note in any of her movies until Breakfast At Tiffany's.

Combined with his fabulous piano playing this is hard to top. I think only Audrey can do so and she does so by her sensitivity, great beauty and singing and playing in the context of Holly Golightly’s life story. Aren’t we lucky to be able to enjoy both at the tips of our fingers.

There are just some songs that bridge the generations. This is one of them. Tonight is Mid-Autumn Moon Festival in Hong Kong and China and Vietnam. Andy Williams wasn't a superstar, like today. Making a mark after so many timeless versions of this song is a challenge. Elton John just added one more to the list of the classic performances of Moon River. The end note touches your heart and resonates. Thanks, Elton. Love from Bangladesh.

I already knew that Sir Elton would do a beautiful rendition of this song, but I was floored that he also knows enough French to say a few lines.
Je suis abasourdi et j'ai vraiment adoré. Rock on Sir Elton.

Elton certainly knows a good tune when he hears it. This was the kind of melody Paul McCartney said he aspired to writing.

Le son sort du piano, mais la voie sort de ses "tripes" ce qui donne toute la valeur à son interprétation. Bravo.

My favourite song from first hearing it from Breakfast at Tiffanys. That and other songs made me want to travel. And I did. But now hate being here in England under the TORY regime. I am 76 so have had my time but urge younger people to go, follow your dreams. Last year I went to Bali, Indonesia, to stay with my son and his lovely wife Ari, and I hope to go again soon.
