- A Chinese clone/copy of the 3M 6000 series half face mask.
This mask cost me about £7 and came with two vapour filters and particulate filters.
Unfortunately the filters were awful and leaking and had to be thrown away, meaning I paid about £7 for the mask.
The mask seems to work okay but has some strange design choices compared to the actual 3M mask.
A new 3M 6000 half face respirator is normally about £15-20 so this is about half the price. Just don't expect the filters to work.

I bought the Chinese 3m 7502 with filters from ebay 9 euros.(i use them for woodworking) . Original in shop costs 45euros. I can assure that for woodworking the chinese works like a charm.After hours of work, nothing can passes inside. And i will continue, changing filters more often
just buy some original 3m filters, they fit perfectly,
The original is well worth the price in my opinion, if you use it often. The mask is comfortable to wear for ~3 hours straight, and has remained in good shape for years. The 6055 vapor filters last for months in my use before odors start to pass through, the P3 ones about a month or so before clogging.

You can actually negative pressure check 3m masks with bottle caps that you can get from mineral water bottles. I did it and it worked like a charm.

@@madolennobido2126 put the caps against the 3m bayonet and hold it. It works most of the time.
Can you check to see if 3M filters attachments work?Do they work? Do you think a p100 Pink pancakes filters attachments work on this mask?
They sell them as original 3M masks on Amazon in my country 😅

That’s trademark infringement. The Chinese are notorious for that.
what size are you trying? and how much difference is there in sizes of 3m respirator.
The genuine 6200 straps adjust in the same place, it's kind of annoying unless you trim the extra but they also haven't loosened up at all so far so can't complain too much.

Supposedly if you press on the cartridge it blocks intake for a vacuum test.
When I exhale and doing the positive pressure check is there air supposed to come out? I am not sure. Would like some clarification. Thank you.
Sorry am a bit late but it varies from mask to mask, generally you are looking for the exhale valve. Easies way to find it is look at the mask from the inside and look for the valve that opens away from you, that is you exhale valve. Hope it helps.

I bought that "Fake" mask actually, I bought it for about RM30 Malaysian Currency, idk yours soo. The mask itself serve a good air cycle all over its vent and the only problem is the Organic Vapour filter. Recomend me what kind of filter I should get, or I can just modified the layer of the original filter. Im started to get intrested when thinking about Oxygen tank, maybe I can modified it for best improvement?
I work at a place that constantly has dust in it, all kinds of dust... at the end of the day if you blow your nose, the snot is kind of coated in black dust... what would you recomend I wear? It's a warehouse bu the way.
Look for a decent do it yourself mask, instructions are all over the place now along with printable templates.
Buy a legit 3m 6000 and some of those pink circular filters.

Actually that chinese clone 3m mask is identical to real 3m 6200 half mask. Chinese don't make their own design, they faithfully try to copy 3M. I bought my 3M 6200 mask from home depot and it looks just like the chinese clone you have (but of course with real 3M trademark).
There's a difference, but you have to look carefully. I own a genuine and a fake. The fake will just have the 3M logo, while the real one will have writing on the inside and on the side of the harness. In addition, the fake has a darker color than the real one. The real is light grey at the top, and dark grey at the bottom.
I haven't used the fake one, I kept it around to educate people.
I just got what I believe is a legit 3M 7502 - is it normal that while covering the 501 cartridge/filter cover holes, there is/would be some air intake through the exhale section? I have a secure seal but there is a small amount of air still coming in around the plastic 'flap' of the exhaust I believe. Is this normal? Would this be much of a real world concern (or would most intake with path of least resistance occur through the filter/cartridges in normal use)? Or am I just possibly not able to seal the holes enough on the sides like you also?
It depends how hard you are breathing, on a lot of masks if you inhale too hard air can come through the exhale valve, I'd recommend trying to breath slowly and evenly and see if it works fine.
@@Weaponsandstuff93 I found a way to test the exhale valve, just put my mouth around it to a good seal, and blow hard. No air went through - so it is just escaping/entering from the cartridge/bayonets I think. I tried double taping gaffer tape over each bayonet and pushed my palms over them and it seemed to block almost all the air, so I think it's just really hard to fully block off the bayonets or filter case holes (501 case). I am pretty sure I have dodgy 6001CN cartridges though. They appear 3M but have the chinese QA symbol on them, no charcoal is coming out from shaking but they do make a sandy noise when shaken. I'm guessing the 6001CN, even if legit, are probably a poorer standard to the regular 6001. Have you tested by blowing or inhaling? I think inhaling is a better way, even though impossible with most of the filters.
You can actually adjust the female 3m bayonet to its right shape with a retractable utility knife. Did it on my Chinese copy of 3m 603 because apparently 3m officially prohibits the sell of the original 3m 603 here in Malaysia. I don't know why.

I got a Chinese copy of the 3m full face respirator from eBay for around $30 US, it takes 3m bayonet filters or 40mm gas mask filters

the original one had 3M logo moulded into the nosepiece.
just duct tape the inlets :P . works quite fine for that ;) . One warning to 3M 75xx masks; TRY one before buying if possible. i've bought M (medium) and ts a bit small for my face (despite the claims that M should work well for majority).

When I bought my 3M 6900 full face, I found a place on the 3M website that had me measure my face to know which size I would need.

No, I don't think so. But the fact that filters shouldn't be bought from Aliexpress - it's the common conclusion. Although, I saw few lots that look really genuine, but I don't know how to test them.

I got one off eBay that said "MC" on it in the pictures but it came in saying 3M on it but it still had that LA sticker on it. Why's this?

@@p.f.h.2146 maybe. the mask itself is fine but the ov cartridges release charcoal onto the valve and most likely into my lungs too. But I have genuine P95 pancake filters so I'm all set
its a genuine MC mask then. Not a 3M obviously.

I just got my chinese respirator, they come with a really strong smell, like paint or something, i am assuming it might be the silicone but i almost feel unsafe breathing through it.. someome help? I am disregarding the chinese filter using P100 3m instead. Just the mask thats concerning

I would go ahead and get a real 3m with filters if I could, I wouldn't trust or give any money to the CCP, especially with the things they have done since attacking the world with this virus. The world should be boycotting the CCP.

As long as it fits properly, is clean and in good working order it should be ok, especially if you got the 3m filters and they are a good fit.
@@danijel124 If you have a problem with the filters and you are crafty you may want to learn to repack them . I was mostly wording my disgust for the CCP and knock-off products, I apologize if I sound offensive about the mask especially if you have problems getting anything else.

Use a disinfectant wipe and follow the manufacturer's instructions. You can use isopropyl alcohol wipes if you have to but be warned that they can and will degrade silicone! Keep it away from the rubber on the mask. Wiping down the exterior of a 6035 or 6038 with alcohol is fine though because it's plastic. You can try spraying the mask down with bleach, but good luck getting the smell out.

Which size are you using? I bought 3M 6200 half mask (size medium) and its really snug to my chins and cheek. 3M claim that a M sized fits 80% of the population. Are you using M or L ? The fit looks much better on your face than mine and my head is normal size for being a man.

pity the filters are crap, but i suppose if you're on a very tight budget you can at least get a 1/2 price mask, but like you said might as well just buy the real thing as its not much more anyway
Yeah I'll see if I can do a test with it at some point to actually work out of the mask itself is any good.
I guess its probably hit and miss? I brought a chinese one, and wasn't certain about it. After watching this video and others I tried knocking charcole out of it and non came out no specs of dust either. I then checked the organics filters the smart way ;) I got a makeup removal pad and put some nasty arse purfume and deoderant on it and placed it inside the plastic cover on the outside of the thin white filter thingy. I did that with both filters and then put the mask on and breathed throught it for a few minutes. I couldn't smell any scent and the air was fine. If I sniff the front of the filter makes me gag, but with it connected to the mask and breathing through that its fine. Still duno if I trust it though, I might get actual filters for piece of mind :/ maybe I buy real filters and take them apart and compare. (posted on right video this time, accidentally commented on the follow up video)
I want to buy affordable mask for agriculture chemical substance but it is difficult to check which one is real or fake. Seller said 3M has factory in China that can be cheaper reasonably and still the real one. I have no idea.
Unless you buy from Amazon directly or a hardware store they're quite likely to be fake.

I bought the same mask and my filters work fine. No leaks and no smell whilst spray painting. I guess you got a dud with your purchase as with alot of stuff bought from china it's more often a hit and miss with regards to quality...
