how long can this stuff stay applied to the tub? could it stay on for like a week with moderate foot traffic?
I use same product somtimes I also put a plywood cover over it also then allows you to stand in and work off tub/shower
That's a great tip! Thanks 👊
Use the plywood method every time
Just discovered the same plywood method myself on my DIY tub surround on a 10' tub to ceiling. Life saver! I protected the tub just a little more by putting a strip of self adhesive window sealer strip around the tub lip too.
That's what I use. I glued a piece of kerdi board on a piece of plywood. Kerdiboard allows you to set it on the tub without damaging it.
I saw this product at the IBS show in Orlando. Looks super cool and easy. I just ordered two gallons and I cannot wait to give to my guys and try it out. Nice video.
I’d be interested to see how this peels off tub with thinset droppings on it from wall tile. Does anyone have experience with this?
Super cool video!!! So far, you taught me about tile levelers, and now this!!! Off topic a bit, the truck made more cameos in this video than any other ones!! As always great video bud, and Dirty Jersey out!!!
Thanks! I try to make my video's somewhat fun to watch, thanks for watching! 👊
Wow, learn something new everyday. Thanks for sharing,
My pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Wish we'd seen this 2 weeks ago, I installed a tub for my friends bathroom remodel, used old bed sheet and mover's cloth method!
Lol next time! 👊
You need to celebrate 10K subscriber soon !! congratulation
Thank you! I'm grateful for all of my subscribers. I will continue to create content for my subscribers and thank you for watching and the kind comment 👊
It appeared that the bottom of the tub was textured (anti-slip), amazed how easily you removed it!
Yes sir, it's a great product!
Wrap that on yer ding dong bro! Haha! (Keeping it light...sorry)
Love your channel dude...thanks!
Looks good! I like the idea of a disposable tub liner. How many days can it stay on the tub? By the way, I think roller would spread the coating thinner, versus brushing it on. I’m gonna give it a try
I'm sure it would stay on and peel off good for weeks! I'll have to try rolling it out, I have only used the brush with this membrane...
That is very cool. Could you use it to protect a vanity countertop while installing a tiled backsplash? Great video.
If the top is a solid surface, I would say yes. Great idea!👊
Nice product- thanks for heads up. Drying times?
Depends on heat and humidity, for us 3-5 hours but we usually leave it over night
I always look forward to the videos filmed at your super secret 'Area 51' testing and comparison site.
Lol thanks for watching sir!
I could see this being used on windows when painting wood frames
Great idea!
How long does it take to dry , and can be used on fiber glass as of cast iron pan tubs ?
We leave it overnight but around 3-5 hours and quicker with a fan and yes on any smooth surface i would imagine
Wish it came in single use cans to just spray it on....this might be good if your doing a couple tubs a month , but if your only doing a few a year then you might have to worry about the product going bad....I keep alot of my materials in my garage in Florida and certain latex products go bad after a while . A single spray can bottle would be awesome
I wonder how well it would stick to cement board and if it could be used as waterproofing. I realize it's not rated for that but would be cool to see if you can do that video.
Interesting idea! Maybe I should test it!
@@LandbergTileTV that'd be awesome
How well do you think this would work for stainless steel sinks?
Hard to say, I haven't tested it on metal. I'm sure it would work though..
I thought I heard 20 bucks for the gallon but when I went to the site it said 55. I just put the same plastic I use to cover granite and a plywood top. Really good idea for the custom baths but not really for commercial production
60 bucks for the gallon which will cover 3 tubs. Equals 20 bucks per protection! Well with it 👊
That's true that's a standard we use yet I like that product where can I get it . Dont say online
I have the link in the description, check it out
How does this product work on somewhat freshly glazed tubs
I believe it works just fine on freshly glazed tubs.
Will it unclog the pores if I use it around my nose or forehead?
Lol
This is a decent product and should be used along with some plastic, cardboard and drop cloth measures to ensure the tub is not damaged. The cost averages out to about 20 dollars a tub considering you can do about 3 tubs per gallon. $60 a Gal..
It's a great idea! 20 bucks gives you insurance 👊
Looks great, but if a sloppy tiler drops a tile on it, will it prevent a ding in the tub? Some of those tiles are pretty heavy.
If you were a sloppy tile guy, cut and place plywood on top or cardboard on the bottom.
@@LandbergTileTV No need to attack bud, if you don't think accidents happen you are wrong!!
@@chrissimon8403 yes sir, I agree and accendents happen!
just watched it looks awesome, however looking up the cost in the link you attached, it appears that its over $50 a gallon plus shipping. Fully understanding that you cant really put a price on potentially damaging a tub that you just installed the investment makes sense. Just a little too costly for my blood, ill probably stick with masking tape and cutting up the cardboard that the tub came in to use for protection.
CAN YOU USE THAT ON TILE FLOORING WITH GROUT LINES
That's a great question! I'll have to test this out, but you can always put down floor protection like ram board. Much quicker.
Where can you get that stuff at.
Check the link in the description of the video 👊
How long for it to dry?
Depends on the heat and humidity, but for us, 3-5 hours
Aqua bar works better and no need to wait for dry time
Interesting, I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the tip! 👊
I wonder how eco friendly it is. I hate to think of landfills full of these things.
Unfortunately landfills are full of much worse...
@@LandbergTileTV That makes it ok to add more?
*All I watched was intro and I loved it, a condom for a bathtub, who would have thunk !*
Lol that's a good way to put it
bob doyle🤣🤣🤣🤣
Plywood is better....No need to wait for anything to dry, you can stand on it, put tiles on it, put your cutter on it and it protects the tub from chipping. A layer of plastic will protect the tub from scratching but may not protect it from chipping if a large heavy tile falls on it.
Yes sir, but never let large heavy tile drop on a new tub!
I just want to buy the stuff and it’s temporarily out of stock
Use carpet protector from lowes or home depot
Just another product that ends up in the trash
So what. The planet is mostly vacant land. There is plenty of room for trash. We’re just oversensitive to it from envirofascist conditioning.
I absolutely HATE those tubs, a total piece of crap. I can't believe builders are putting that chyt in custom homes much less a tract home. Sparks Plumbing since 1988
Talk about your gloves lol what gloves are those man? Nobody talks about the importance of protecting your hands. The amount of chemicals we play with it, don’t forget your skin is our biggest organ, it absorbs all those chemicals. Make a video of gloves. Even masks too.
That's a great idea! I'll add it to my video idea list. Thanks man 👊
