LePage 2 in 1 in the US is LocTile Polyseamseal All-Purpose Adhesive Caulk. It took we awhile to figure out. I got routed to Canada's Home Depot site and finally got it. I love your channel and the way you present things. You are my 'go to' UA-camr whenever I have a remodel job.

I prepared my shower in exactly the same way . got caught up on other projects (got lazy) .and I have been showering in a red shower for 3 years lol and the shower looks exactly the same as when I did it!! Even took off a bunch of drywall in the kitchen on the other side last week .and absolutely no mold
I just want to tell you that I'm extremely grateful that I came across your videos. This one is the reason I have started watching your channel. I'm currently remodeling my small home almost completely on my own. I have soooooo many problems and felt completely lost. My bathroom is one of the worst. This is absolutely the best video, advice and solution I have came across anywhere on the internet. Please keep doing what you're doing, because people like me with a low income need you in their life!
This is the best waterproofing video out there. I have worked with many different systems, tried many different materials and this is the cheapest, best and easiest system that exists.
That just saved me a lot of stress of having the greenboard removed and re-do it entirely like many bloggers/videos recommends to do. I just wanted new bath walls so this is how I will do it ! Thank you very much !
I watch a lot of you tube All kinds of content I have to admit I think you are one of the best at video education No BS not trying to sell T shirts Not promoting yourself Just good honest education Thank You for sharing your time knowledge and craft youve been my go to videos for tile installation which I really dont know much Thanks Again Paul
sometimes with Redguard, I use a small tooth trowel for first coat, then flat trowel the second. When you do the trowel ridges on the first coat, it dries fast and stands. then when you do the flat, you can fill it to the recommended mils. But you need to do that first coat really even, no blobs! Keep a trowel in the other hand for a hawk. I think recommended mils to reach full impermeable is 30 or so, if you use it for a pan or bench etc. I usually use disposable brushes too. I don't like cleaning the brush, especially if I wait a little too long. Good vid.
I am building a fly fishing cottage in SW Colorado and have to build 3 walk in showers. I was debating on what type of vapor barrier to use in them. I have used wonderboard in the paste with a roll on vapor barrier. I would like to use drywall instead because it is so much easier to cut and install. I do not like cutting any corners but based on your video, I no longer believe that I would be. Using drywall will save me time and a lot of money in doing 3 showers. Thank you for this video and ALL your other video's. Your are one of my favorites to watch.
Your just the best Jeff. I turn to you for all my home projects. I'm over 60 and doing it just about all myself, because, once you get taken, it's the last time you get taken!
Thank you for this video Jeff! Waterproofing a shower has been made very confusing and time and labor extensive by some. This was great for people like me to hear you don't have to pay a fortune for a good shower that will last.
It should be noted. Redguard is only truly waterproof when enough coats have been applied so the background can not be seen. In general it’s 3 coats. Happened to be at one of there demos. I’ll add cuz I have been asked. Redguard will NOT fall off or peel away from wall. It’s also a better bonding surface then drywall alone. And if anyone doubts redguard. Get a cardboard box (small. Or a shoe box). Put a few coats in with a brush. Fill with water. I tiny pool for your turtle or your lizard. Lol
Mike Sacco your comment is spot on. I prefer aqua defense myself because I love Mapei products, but they are the same thing. Multiple coats is key. 3-4 usually. I have always been told it should be as thick on the wall as a drivers license or credit card. Aqua defense is also a little easier to bare in my opinion because it’s scent is less pungent. When you’re working in a small bathroom that is significant.
I have used that in conjunction with fiberglass tape( not the drywall one- looks like thin cloth) specifically for the corners and edges and fiberglass backer board
WOW thanks so much! I'm a single (newly retired) woman, with a 116 year old farm house. I've now got the time that my career didn't afford me, to try some renovations. Looking forward to turning my one LARGE bathroom, located between both bedrooms, with central house entry, into two smaller bathrooms, making each bedroom into a suite. I've lived alone for too long and don't like the idea of sharing a bathroom. But would like the added financial income with someone paying rent. I've been devouring your videos and am so stoked to get started once the Summer heat abides into September. Right now practicing on my garage, making it into a shop to handle the Fall renovations. Need a new home for my new collection of Ryobi 18 Volt tools and the work space. This should be fun with the guidance I'm receiving from all your videos. I'm going to be the built in queen. Hoping to make this old farm house feel more like a cottage when done.
Rebuilding a shower/tub my dad did in the 70s. Very surprised how well it held up. Yes it had water damage, but it was tile on drywall. Many years later it had latex caulk put in the corners and tub edge. Around the tub controls it was rotted out and the tiles were toast. Most of the drywall survived. It went over 40 years with nothing but tile and grout. Sometime in there the shower controls were replaced and a few tiles were patched back in.
Jeff, love your tutorials. I have learned so much from your vids because they are so easy to follow, I have so many projects around my house that I feel so confident to take on knowing that I can always go back and watch your tutorial again, its like having my personal mentor, thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge with us...sir...you are a true master of your craft!!! Muchas gracias!!!!
Awesome! I paid for an unexpected bathroom renovation because the previous owners put tiles on top of sheetrock covered with plaster (50’s house)... BAD mold grew in between the plaster and sheetrock and had to do mold remediation. I was very relieved to see our contractor first using a similar product than the one you show (it was green instead of pink) on top of the cement board (for tiling after) to waterproof our shower. Definitely that made feel I was paying the right person to do that and while I checked what he was doing I was also learning a lot. This is just a reaffirmation that these types of products work and will ensure that you will not have any moisture and mold problem for a very long time. Thank you for your videos!
Hi Daniel, this is not the best way, but it is a great way to get a long lasting shower. Chances are that it will be rebuilt due to changing design styles before the tile fails.
This video is 2 years old and I’m getting ready to redo a bathroom from 1897. It’ll be my first. I bought the green drywall that is water-resistant and mold resistant as talked about in one of your more recent videos. Would you still suggest using that same caulk in those corner crevices? Along with joint mud for the remainder, then slapping on with the Aqua defense membrane? I hope you see this, thanks so much
I'm gonna be honest. I probably will never use any of the things that you teach us in these videos. But I cant stop watching these for some reason 😂 You're awesome!
Sounds like a great way to water proof a shower. I replaced some fallen down shower tiles & re-grouted the whole shower at my inlaws house a year ago & it turned out really good for my first tile & grout project, yet was wondering about water proofing and the ways it's done for a bigger project of new shower installation, so this video showed me a lot. When my hubby and I put in a 2nd bathroom, I'd really like to do some of the work myself
Hello, sir! Thank you for this video. Can I paint the whole bathroom with the liquid hydro insulation 3-4 coats and then paint over with alkid paint of my choice, without putting tiles anywhere in the bathroom, is this gonna work? I do not want to spend money on tiles and I also would like to redo my whole bathroom by myself for a day or two.
The roll-on membrane system makes a lot more sense to me than a board-and-tape system which costs a lot more and is put together with thinset which wicks water. For a builder I appreciate that the board-and-tape is probably a lot faster to put up, but as a home owner what's the value proposition for me?
I assume after the RedGuard dries it is ready for regular mastic/thinset and tile? Never mind. I read down the comments and determined that you already said yes to this question, and suggested Mapei's ultralite cement! Thanks for a great video!
Good tutorial. Purple drywall is not available at the big box stores around here. I don't know why one would choose that instead of simply using Durock cement board, if you want the shower to last.
Hi, great video and very well done. After the membrane is dry, do you start tiling right over the membrane or is there another material that goes over the membrane before I can start tiling?
Ok, I cant find the LePage product anywhere to buy on the web, is Dap kitchen and bath adhesive just as good? And can you install tile directly over the Red Guard membrane?
HI Jeff I have an RV and the shower stall came with 1/4" ply covered in a vinyl like wall paper which is already peeling. Do you think I can peel off the paper then apply the red guard to the 1/4" plywood with a few coats then tile over that?
Hello, I've used this system in my home main bath reno with great results. I'm wondering if you'd suggest using this method, with tile, in a 3-season cottage where slight movement may occur during thaw, or putting out the expense for Kerdi board to minimize movement and chances of tile cracking?
Do you still put a vapor barrier behind the mold resistant board, even if you plan on using the Red Gard? I am trying to gain some knowledge before I attempt renovating my bathroom. Your videos have been so informative and you do an excellent job at explaining each part of the process as you go. It has made the learning process so much easier, thanks!
Loctite is the LePage equivalent. Both brands are owned by the same company (Henkel). LePage is exclusive to Canada. Most LePage products are available as Loctite in the US.
Awesome channel. Two questions. 1. Any reason you didn’t use the mesh/fibreglass tape on the seams with the roll on membrane? Would you reco doing so? 2. If this was an existing stand up shower, could you use the membrane on existing shower pan after the tile has been removed and the surface smoother down? Rather than replacing the pan if it’s not leaking.
Hi Jeff, when using this technique how do you place the drywall to the lip of the shower/tub pan? In another video using kerdie board you used mesh tape and sealed it, how do we address this for drywall?
What type of thin set would you recommend over Redgard for a 12 X 24 tile? Great videos by the way, very informative and helpful. I am currently demolishing my bathroom and using your videos to help guide me through the building and refinishing process. Thanks.
I'm using a linear drain with mud bed, will redguard stick to the metal flange of the drain in order to seal the seam where it meets the mud pan? I was also thinking of using an adhesive caulking between the flange and pan, then redguard over it.
Great video! I have mold resistant (green rock from home depot) drywall installed and it's been taped already. Can I apply the seal and bond over the drywall tape or do I need to cut those joints and re-seal? Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I used Redguard in a recent emergency renovation in my bathroom (with your help from another video :D) and it is pretty easy and it doesn't take a lot of time to dry.
I cannot wait to have my first own house either. Currently i’m renting; A good place to trial and error on little projects like caulking and plastering and such things. If it fails it’s not a real big deal as it’s not my own building LOL. The landlord is a large company that owns 10000 houses. No person even knows about the existance of this property.
First tile job I did I used cement board with tar paper behind it. What a pain that was! For a tub surround, I agree, the redgard would be the way to go. Just make sure you put some waterproofing sealant against whatever backer board that touches the top of the tub so that water can't wick up into it. Maybe even get some hardibacker and put a 4" strip around the bottom edge touching the tub. My second tile project was a full shower stall. For that I used schluter kerdi. Only way to go if you are waterproofing all the way down to the floor. Best thing about kerdi is that you can put it over regular drywall. No need to caulk the corners. Just rough fit the drywall and cover with the kerdi membrane. It a bit of a trick to learn how to get the thinset troweled on the drywall and pressing the membrane into it but other than that, the stuff is great! 100% water barrier.
My dad built houses, and taught me an old trick. Dip your finger in soapy water and run it over the caulk. No mess and caulk won't stick to your finger.
We're using galvanized metal for our shower walls and have been told that we need a fabric waterproofing membrane because of the condensation issue. What is the best product to use for our application?
This is the product we were thinking about using to waterproof our entire hallway bathroom, thanks to kids who apparently don't know shower curtains are more than just decorative. We're in a mobile home, with the sheet vinyl flooring that runs across the decking of the entire house, with the walls built on top. Would we be able to use this product for that purpose, and if so, would we use the same application technique? If there's a better product, a less expensive method, or if we have the wrong idea entirely, please do let me know! We're on a shoestring budget and the house was given to us in awful condition to begin with, so we're just trying to keep the house on life support until we can move on in a couple years. Please help! Thank you for making these videos; you're an awesome teacher, and you're really making a difference for people.
I actually read the instructions on the red guard before I used it. My understanding is that your first coat should be on the seams and screw holes. The second coat should be rolled on horizontally and the third coat rolled on vertically. Then you should go back with your brush and catch any spots that look thin. I used Hardi-backer with thin set and mesh tape (not the drywall kind) rather than drywall though.
Thanks much Jeff! I am a novice who is preparing to install the Kohler Choreograph shower wall system. My plan is to install standard moisture/mildew resistant drywall and use your method of prep illustrated here, and then (as per Kohler’s own advice), to adhere their wall panels using their proprietary adhesive, directly to the RedGuarded blue board. Given one of your commenter’s note that only backer board should be used in general, do you see a problem with my strategy? I am at the open frame or stud stage at the moment. Thank you again!
EarendilTheBlessed of this last you 20 years, but that time you’ll want to re do the “out dated” tile or move into another home and the new owner will want to do the “out dated” tile
Can you start listing a complete list of supplies under each video. I often have to take a pen and paper out for recording the supplies or types of supplies that you use. I complete list under the video would be great.
Great video - thanks for sharing. I do have a question. I am adding a tile wall above a tub and have already installed mold proof drywall on the walls above the tub. In your video, you said to add caulk in the corners instead of regular tape and mud used for drywall. Unfortunately I added regular tape and mud to the corners and seams before I saw your video. What recommendations do you have on what I should do now?
Really enjoy your videos! Very informative and easy to follow. Preparing to renovate a bathroom in my newly purchased 50+ year old house and plan to use several of your videos as tutorials and refreshers on how to's. Is the redguard good to use on floor under stone floor tile.
Hey Jeff, thanks for all your content. It's empowering to be able to do little projects by ourselves. I have one important question: what kind of thinset would you recommend to use over top of redgard? Modified or unmodified? Let me know. Thanks agaim👌🏾👍🏾
Thanks for another great video. From someone who watches all of your videos, appreciates, and gives them a like, I am confused by this one... in one of your other videos you say you like AquaDefense more than RedGuard. Why did you use RedGuard then in this video?
I've used the 2 in 1 by LePage as an alternative to silicone caulking and it seems to work great. I can cut out parts that get mouldy and reapply (after fixing source of moisture) , and it just sticks to itself, unlike cured silicone.
I like your videos. I’ve been building for 30 years and can honestly say that most of your thoughts on construction methodology is right on with the exception of this. In order to achieve maximum water barrier protection you really should have gotten the redgaurd all over yourself.
Hi!, love watching your very impressively done informative videos 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Question, how far apart should drywall be screwed to the studs in a walk in curb less shower?
LePage 2 in 1 in the US is LocTile Polyseamseal All-Purpose Adhesive Caulk. It took we awhile to figure out. I got routed to Canada's Home Depot site and finally got it. I love your channel and the way you present things. You are my 'go to' UA-camr whenever I have a remodel job.

I watch a lot of you tube
All kinds of content
I have to admit I think you are one of the best at video education

Just good honest education

Thank you for this video Jeff! Waterproofing a shower has been made very confusing and time and labor extensive by some. This was great for people like me to hear you don't have to pay a fortune for a good shower that will last.
Thanks Jeff. This is where simple meets quality. There are better options but usually not necessary.
After waterproofing the walls can you use a luxury vinyl plank as a shower/tub surround? If so what would you use to adhere it to the wall?
Can this product be applied over paint?
Thanks.. But exactly what the man said did he not?
Something about seeing a thick application of waterproofing membrane is satisfying.
I have used that in conjunction with fiberglass tape( not the drywall one- looks like thin cloth) specifically for the corners and edges and fiberglass backer board

You really know your stuff young man. Thanks for saving me a ton of money on my shower.
Hello from Australia! Great to see a tradesman that does things properly and takes pride in his work. I am learning heaps. :)
Cheers to Australia!
Can you install a glue up tub surround wall after applying the Redguard, or are they only supposed to go on bare drywall?
If i am putting in a 5 pc surround would i need the RedGard? by the way i enjoy watching i have learned a lot
Would you seal the bottom and waterproof between the tub nd board?
Jeff, love your tutorials. I have learned so much from your vids because they are so easy to follow, I have so many projects around my house that I feel so confident to take on knowing that I can always go back and watch your tutorial again, its like having my personal mentor, thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge with us...sir...you are a true master of your craft!!! I love this! Can you please let me know if this is also something you could/should use to waterproof the bathroom 's ceiling?
Yes, this is hydro insulation, After all :P
When using this system can you put a tub surrounded panel system instead of tile the whole thing
I have the same question. I would like to see how this would be finished off for an adhesive tub surround including the trim.
Thats also my question
Yeah I would like to know that to I want the waterproofing but plan on a surround instead of tile
Should I do this waterproofing even if I am installing a 3 piece shower surround over drywall and not tile?
I'm gonna be honest. I probably will never use any of the things that you teach us in these videos. But I cant stop watching these for some reason 😂 You're awesome!
Thanks watson, glad to hear you enjoy our videos. Cheers!
You are missing out if you don’t utilize what he teaches ...
Can you adhere acrylic panels to the Redgard?
This is my new favorite UA-cam chanel
Sounds like a great way to water proof a shower. I replaced some fallen down shower tiles & re-grouted the whole shower at my inlaws house a year ago & it turned out really good for my first tile & grout project, yet was wondering about water proofing and the ways it's done for a bigger project of new shower installation, so this video showed me a lot.
I just did this for a customer on a budget. Acrylic shower tray and two tile walls. Glass door and wall. Thanks for the tip.
how can I seal the bigger seam between ceiling and wall
The roll-on membrane system makes a lot more sense to me than a board-and-tape system which costs a lot more and is put together with thinset which wicks water. For a builder I appreciate that the board-and-tape is probably a lot faster to put up, but as a home owner what's the value proposition for me?
Is it posible to use Redgard on plywood, and then use liquid nails to secure a tub surround to the treated wall?
I assume after the RedGuard dries it is ready for regular mastic/thinset and tile? Never mind. I read down the comments and determined that you already said yes to this question, and suggested Mapei's ultralite cement! Thanks for a great video!
I am installing prefab shower walls over the Red Guard...Do I need to use a special/certain type of adhesive?
How deep do I need to set my faucet using standard tile?
Good tutorial. Purple drywall is not available at the big box stores around here. I don't know why one would choose that instead of simply using Durock cement board, if you want the shower to last.
Hi, great video and very well done. After the membrane is dry, do you start tiling right over the membrane or is there another material that goes over the membrane before I can start tiling?
Tile away Tom. Cheers!
Is this something I should apply on my green board. Behind a tub surround. Or will the green board be ok.
Ok, I cant find the LePage product anywhere to buy on the web, is Dap kitchen and bath adhesive just as good?
And can you install tile directly over the Red Guard membrane?
Hands down best Reno channel ever!!!!this guy forgets more than most people know 😜
Omg my man just in time for the shower renovation my wife got me doing.
Hi
Any suggestions on how to diy waterproofing the entire bathroom floor including a curbless shower?
Thank you
HI Jeff
I have an RV and the shower stall came with 1/4" ply covered in a vinyl like wall paper which is already peeling. Do you think I can peel off the paper then apply the red guard to the 1/4" plywood with a few coats then tile over that?
Sherry Alfaro I would say yes. I would but five or more coats on it.
Home Depot in the US does not sell the LePage 2 in 1. They sell Loctite tile and shower. The Home Depot in Canada does sell the LePage brand.
Thank you! I was wondering about that!
Keep an eye on how thick the redguard goes on. They void the warranty if it goes in TOO thick. Should be on the bucket
Many thin coats is the answer. Works like a charm.
Can this go over plaster? I didn't realise it went straight over the plasterboard and the last Erin has been done already
So I can tile over this then, right?
Could you just redgard and tile over a wood 4x4 to make a shower curb? If not, how would it fail?
Hello, I've used this system in my home main bath reno with great results. I'm wondering if you'd suggest using this method, with tile, in a 3-season cottage where slight movement may occur during thaw, or putting out the expense for Kerdi board to minimize movement and chances of tile cracking?
kerdi all the way in that scenario. Cheers!
Is it ok to use redgard on drywall joint compound if I already taped the joints?
Do you still put a vapor barrier behind the mold resistant board, even if you plan on using the Red Gard? I am trying to gain some knowledge before I attempt renovating my bathroom. Your videos have been so informative and you do an excellent job at explaining each part of the process as you go. It has made the learning process so much easier, thanks!
Yes, the vapor barrier system should be continuous.
Vapor barrier isn't necessary if you're using a liquid membrane like redgard. The membrane is your barrier.
jaksngreen would there be any problem if you did both Vapor barrier behind and also use redgard on front
Can a membrane like Redguard or Mapei AquaDefence be applied directly onto wood walls like plywood
What seal and bond would you consider equal to the lepage. I cannot get my hands on it in the states.
2. Would it be better to use a cement boards like Hardie Backerboard rather than the mold resists dry wall? The cost is about the same.
I, too, have this question.
I wanted to know this also
me also
Use Dense shield instead, it has a waterproof skin applied to it. Thinset and tape corners, redgard after.
Can you paint over red guard? If you don’t plan on adding tile. Basically just water proof everything with the red guard. Then paint it and leave it?
I had the same question
Hi Jeff, when using this technique how do you place the drywall to the lip of the shower/tub pan? In another video using kerdie board you used mesh tape and sealed it, how do we address this for drywall?
Would you be able to use adhesive for tub surround kit on Red Gard or do I have to prep the Red Gard
What type of thin set would you recommend over Redgard for a 12 X 24 tile? Great videos by the way, very informative and helpful. I am currently demolishing my bathroom and using your videos to help guide me through the building and refinishing process. Thanks.
Use Mapei LFT. I believe Lowes and Rona sell it.
Thanks!
I would like to know the answer to this too
Can you paint over this once it's dry and could you add tile
Hi, Jeff! Love your vids. Why didn't you apply caulk to the horizontal wall seams?
The wall board is not moving and the membrane is flexible anyway. Cheers! Sorry for the late response.
Thanks for the video. I used Redguard in a recent emergency renovation in my bathroom (with your help from another video :D) and it is pretty easy and it doesn't take a lot of time to dry.
Glad to be of help. Cheers!
All these videos make me want to buy a junky house just to try everything. Thanks!!
LOL I was recently thinking the same thing. Cheers!
As a landlord, these videos help me a lot. I do all my fixing and remodeling. :)
Seems like kurdi would be a lot better system to me just saying
Stevie Ray it is a solid system- cost difference is huge though! From 40+ year installers, I have been told this way is just as solid.
I use lepage 2 in 1 sealant for that.
Is it alright to use red guard over tape and mud?
around a tub I'd use durabond 90 and then the redgaurd.
Yes no problem
Message Jeff, what do you have behind that mold resistant drywall any plastic or tar paper?
Is it also worth it to use grout sealer for additional waterproofing?
Thanks for the videos, they're great!
That is an excellent point Raymond. Mapei makes a grout with the sealer already in the mix. Ultracolor is the name. adds a huge amount of protection.
Great video! What is the next step? can I put tiles on it after it dry? Thanks!
definitely. Cheers! use non modified cement. Cheers!
My dad built houses, and taught me an old trick. Dip your finger in soapy water and run it over the caulk. No mess and caulk won't stick to your finger.
Nice one bruv
We're using galvanized metal for our shower walls and have been told that we need a fabric waterproofing membrane because of the condensation issue. What is the best product to use for our application?
Lepage is not available in the US any alternatives that you know of?
loctite 2 in 1 seal and bond will work
This is the product we were thinking about using to waterproof our entire hallway bathroom, thanks to kids who apparently don't know shower curtains are more than just decorative.
This will work fine. Best of luck to you in the near future. Cheers!
Home RenoVision DIY What a relief. Thank you so very much!
I’m doing my bathroom taking out the tub and just having a big shower, do you recommend a store bought shower pan or making it yourself
Store bought 100% unless you really know what your doing... pans are alot more difficult to water proof and be done right... just my opinion..
I had the same question. Thanks.
I actually read the instructions on the red guard before I used it. My understanding is that your first coat should be on the seams and screw holes. The second coat should be rolled on horizontally and the third coat rolled on vertically. Then you should go back with your brush and catch any spots that look thin. I used Hardi-backer with thin set and mesh tape (not the drywall kind) rather than drywall though.
yup that is what it says. and did you notice they said do touchups if it looks too thin. do it my way and you never need a touch up. Cheers!
“It’s gotta stop.” 😄
Thanks much Jeff!
I am a novice who is preparing to install the Kohler Choreograph shower wall system. My plan is to install standard moisture/mildew resistant drywall and use your method of prep illustrated here, and then (as per Kohler’s own advice), to adhere their wall panels using their proprietary adhesive, directly to the RedGuarded blue board.
Given one of your commenter’s note that only backer board should be used in general, do you see a problem with my strategy?
I am at the open frame or stud stage at the moment.
Thank you again!
And abouth 1/10000th the cost of Schluter
There are other advantages to using schluter systems but yeah, don't even think of their name if you are going on the cheap!
EarendilTheBlessed like?
EarendilTheBlessed of this last you 20 years, but that time you’ll want to re do the “out dated” tile or move into another home and the new owner will want to do the “out dated” tile
Can you use redguard under dumawall vinyl tiles in the shower? Please help with your knowledge.
Can you start listing a complete list of supplies under each video. I often have to take a pen and paper out for recording the supplies or types of supplies that you use. I complete list under the video would be great.
That would be great, I'm trying to complete my buying list right now...
Can you install large format tiles on the drywall. Thanks again
Michael Day I would never urs Sheetrock behind my tile
I did and it hasn't been an issue. Of course, I used extra screws before redgard.
Hey Jeff, thanks for all your content. It's empowering to be able to do little projects by ourselves. I have one important question:
what kind of thinset would you recommend to use over top of redgard? Modified or unmodified? Let me know. Thanks agaim👌🏾👍🏾
where to but the 2 in 1 in the US?
Thanks for another great video. From someone who watches all of your videos, appreciates, and gives them a like, I am confused by this one... in one of your other videos you say you like AquaDefense more than RedGuard. Why did you use RedGuard then in this video?
just showing options. redgaurd is readily available in stores i=and online. aqua defense is harder to find for many folks. Cheers!
Actually laughed out loud
Do you use the Redgard on the shower ceiling as well? If so, is the product paintable?
Hi!, love watching your very impressively done informative videos 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Question, how far apart should drywall be screwed to the studs in a walk in curb less shower?
Redgard is an awesome.product. Jim 100 percent for it. Yes, you must follow recommendations on its use. I used three layers just to be safe.
