I was marathoning BogBoy videos and was wondering how the creator system worked. I am surprised about the magic that is happening in this game that came out in like what? 08? Also glad the blood clot gotten taken care of and Way to go on the research and the presentation of the vid. Thank you UA-cam algorithm for recommending me this
This video answers a lot of questions I've had about Spore, thank you! Since you offered, I'm still curious about how the game uses those handle nodes to manipulate the shapes of body parts. Sometimes it seems like a single piece can be three or four completely different pieces.
Basically, for each rigblock artists had to manually create several different versions of the mesh (all with the same basic geometry, same number of nodes and edges, etc). For each slider you need to create the two “extreme” options, and then the computer can smoothly interpolate between those options. It’s similar to “blend shapes”
