  • uPVC spraying with PaintNuts uPVC paint.
This video is all about using PaintNuts uPVC paint. I'll demonstrate how to apply it with my Qt5 HVLP sprayer and a standard brush. It's essential to read the instructions before use. Although the directions suggest cleaning brushes with white spirit, I found this ineffective and had to use cellulose gun cleaner/thinner instead. Be sure to watch until the end, where I summarise my mistakes and advise on how you can avoid them.

Looked a good finish brushed. Spray finish looked acceptable so don’t be so hard on yourself tad more thinner like you say would have got you the finish you were wanting. That’s how we learn by trying different methods.
    Well done Phil.

Phil.love your channel nd thanks for making these videos. Off topic, but which Sundstrom filters do you use? Thinking of trying a different system to the 3m one I'm using. Kindest, Matt

So Phil, now we have tested is it Paintnuts, Frenchic, Kolorbond, MSP or Allcoat? Also do you reckon you would get a passable finish with a low end Wagner HVLP sprayer as I a,ready Ian one. As I DIYer don’t want to splash out on equipment that will only be used once or twice

This is awesome as a brush and roll uPVC paint out of the can. Nothing to thin. Just coat up after a good clean down.
It's not water based so can't compare to all coat or MSP or Frenchic.

Got some walls with very fine hairline cracks
      Like a spiders web
Too many to rake out and fill
Was going to Gardz it first to tighten the wall up then two coats of diamond Matt

Phil, be careful taking a whiff of anything cellulose based. It's massively carcinogenic and will also shred your lungs. Put my best mate in an early grave as he used to spray cellulose based paints in his job. Great vid though bud. 👍

Is this essentially just a pre cat cellulose?
I can tell that it only takes 10 minutes to clean your gun 😢😂
