    Maybe it's addressed in a later episode, but I'm confused as to why the two men who found Deborah left her there to go get help. Wouldn't it make more sense for one of the men to stay behind with her? Why leave her there all alone? Why would she have moved if she knew help was coming? I'm suspicious of these two guys.

    At least they investigated. Nobody believed my sister's murder needed to be investigated and I was told "sometimes people just die". A month later her husband sat at my mother's table and said of his "new" girlfriend that he "finally had a good woman". There was almost another murder that day because everything in me immediately lunged for that man!

    Isn't it sad, and pathetic, that so many small town police departments do such a terrible and neglectful job of investigating these homicides and other violent crimes??!! I mean, why does their hubris get in the way of asking for outside help and/or investing in the proper training necessary to do serious, dedicated investigations to try and solve these crimes?? I've heard these stories over and over and over, for decades. It just doesn't seem to change. Why??? Blessings to the children and other family and loved ones of Deborah Manning. 🙏🌟💞

    Send the case to the FBI and all of the forensic evidence. The detective said "they" tried to rape her. Did the police say that there was a blood trail to show how the body moved? Why do they not talk about where the crime started and ended.

    I'm always upset when I hear how badly the police treated the family, releasing information and interviewing people before they've even informed the family. Look to the UK, that will show you how to treat a victim's family. The police were over their heads and needed to call in help. Egos

    @ 26:33, when that man in the blue dress shirt states; “I’m not knocking anybody that worked on it @ that time, but you know….” Let me announce this here & now, if forty years after I preform my job duties, in a reprehensible manner, especially when the stakes are as high as these were, 💁🏼‍♀️ PLEASE!, somebody state the freakin’ obvious, waaaay before forty years passes!…Why shouldn’t you call out bad behaviour, &/or miscarriage of justice, or NON carriage of justice? Look how this family is suffering to this day, possibly/probably, unnecessarily so! Ridiculous! To not call these good old boys out, is to pat them on the back, for their lack of professionalism, & basic policing abilities, not to mention failing to conduct yourself like a moral human being!…It’s simply unforgivable, what I’m thinking, they thought of her!…🤨 Be brave, do some “knocking!”…

    There has to be some DNA you can test ? Was she found in a field before the bar or pass the bar ? That will tell you if she made it there or not. I don't think she made it to the bar that night either.She didn't have the time to go to the Bar now that I here the timeline.She was killed as she walked home.She was naked so yes I think she was SA or they were trying to SA and killed her instead.Did anyone talk to her husband they had a fight about her wanting to return to her job in another state ? Or maybe taking her clothes off to make it look like a SA was possible??

  • @southernmom1506
    @southernmom1506 20 днів тому +1

    I know it's gotta be the hardest thing in the world to lose a family member to violence. Unfortunately the police can't give out information on the crime because they need to make sure it stays only between the cops and the killer because if someone says something about the crime that wasn't shared with the public then they know they either have the killer or someone close to them. And a murder that is done by a stranger is the hardest to solve if it's ever able to be solved. However many people are in the town are the number of suspects the police have where as a murder committed by a family member or friend narrows the suspect pool by hundreds of thousands. So anyone who has had to go through something this horrific my heart goes out to you just try to be patient with the police and remember they also may be working on another case like yours for another family going through this tragedy.

    The people who seen the car, out the window acting suspicious, was probably when they were attacking her in the car. And when they saw car, turn off the road onto another road and then stopped that's when they dumped her. She was not dead at that time because the two men who saw her later. Said that she had moved to a different area. So that means that she was alive at the time they saw her on the side of the road. So she died, until after she was seen on the road, by the two men

    I wasn't familiar with this case at all. This documentary was extremely well done. I see this as another case where the officers from a small town weren't equipped to handle the situation. Their greatest fumble was not enlisting the aid of other more experienced agencies in the area or the FBI.

    Sorry, the music is distracting. It doesn't seem like law enforcement really had anything to go on at all. They don't seem to know if she got picked up right after she left home, on her way to the bar, on her way home from the bar, or anything else. People saw a woman, maybe her, maybe not. People saw a car going by, might have seen the same car later, maybe not. Somebody saw a truck. Going off nothing more than possible witnesses or drunks at a bar, not very credible. I hope the case is solved and her family gets closure for the poor ladies death.
