All men have sinned against God, but so God loved this world that he gave Jesus as a perfect sin offering, so we would have forgiveness of sins and eternal life. So read the New Testament, believe in Jesus Repent and start loving God and obeying Him. Whoever believes in Jesus and obeys the Word of God, shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Clearly, there is more to the story if they are with 'a family friend' and not her uncle or aunt. I like you hope their sister can have a positive relationship with them.
I feel so, so, so sorry for the uncle who loved his niece so much and was worried about her. So much so, that law enforcement thought he was suspect. God bless the uncle and please make Steve pay with his life. Thank goodness, the state took his kids to protect them.
Imagine loving someone so much that when they go missing, you are "so emotional" and call the police and then take it upon yourself to search --- only to be told that "since you're so worried... You must be guilty..." lord. If my kid went missing, I would be sleeping on the steps of the police station until they threw me in jail for trespassing.
But it has happened before, when one of those deeply involved in the searches and extremely distressed about the possible fate of the the victims was the murderer. The problem with these situations is that we almost never know what is going on, and a lot of times we have completely unexpected surprises.
When they were voicing suspicions about the uncle, I just rolled my eyes. To me he was obviously innocent and was emotional because he raised her so would obviously love her like a father would. I feel bad for him that he was ever on their list.
i have a feeling the cops weren't giving this case much attention, and that they weren't just showing up to work everyday while their homes got flooded and that's probably why the new bf went to the media with the security footage first too.
There's always going to be an element of "You're too emotional" or "You're not emotional enough." Cops and the public expect victims and their loved ones to only act one way and be 'perfect victims', just look at the things people said about Madeline McCann's mother. It's awful. BUT when someone is eager to send the investigators after a red herring, that's a big common red flag. And of course most guilty people are terrible at faking it.
Um just gave me incest vibes with all that carrying on and interfering. Was he trying to find incest evidence in her apartment or something that would implicate him in something not quire normal? Who behaves like that???!

Yeah! I hate how they blame the uncle because he was “too emotional and got in the way”. He raised crystal so he was basically her father. He was clearly so distraught over her disappearence. He probably didnt even realise that he was getting “in the way” because he was so desparate to find her. And I find it disgusting that the detective shamed him for showing human emotions
Exactly. I knew immediately that the ex lost control & killed her. It’s so weird that the police were divided on this issue. The ex had motive, no one else.
I love how derogatory the district attorney was regarding her description of the private investigator that the family hired to help in the search. It seems quite ignorant to ignore the plethora of police failures during investigations that result in perpetrators going free. If my family member went missing and had the funds to hire a PI just in case they pick up something in the investigation that the police missed I would hire one.
You are exactly correct. This family saw that the investigation wasn't as aggressive as it should've been...in their opinion. They did all that they could to find her. The FAMILY found her vehicle!!!For the DA to be so unprofessional in the media is no surprise. Harris & Chambers County, TX. Enough said. So tragic.
@@merryhunt9153 I'm from Baytown, TX. Born & raised. I lived through Hurricane Harvey myself. The family did the right thing by doing all they could & not fully depending on law enforcement. The insult to injury of murderers placing the deceased in trash bags and leaving them on the side of the road is a grim thing that enrages me every time I listen to a true crime case. I know I shouldn’t underestimate someone who takes the life of another, but to put another human being in a trash bag really upsets me more than words can explain. So horrible.
I agree. The whole thing of I didn't mean to, and wish I could take it back just doesn't fly when you put a bag over their face and then in a trash bag.
@annac I know… it’s so disheartening… That’s a human life and they just put them in a garbage bag and dump them off like they’re just trash!!?? It’s so demeaning… just because they think the person is trash doesn’t mean the whole rest of the world agrees because we don’t!
That’s crazy that showing CONCERN over his beloved niece cause him to become a suspect! Guess he should’ve been “less emotional” over a loved one going missing and ending up dead….wow. What an injustice period.

@@vensgrandson um, it says it right in this episode she was cheating with multiple people during their one year marriage... if the state actually did something to right these types of wrongs, perhaps MAnY kids would still have at least one parent in their lives
Absolutely agree. The uncle had raised her from the young age of 11 when both of her parents died. Basically they didn’t treat him as the father that raised her. Disgusting really, that poor man was broken.
I felt so badly for the uncle. On the other hand you have to understand how police have to work these cases. They have to look at everyone close to the victim who might have the slightest motive and play out the scenarios amongst a group to see what makes sense. It's really the only way to do it. Otherwise they would have directed all their attention to the ex-husband from the beginning and it would have been seen as railroading.
Right? Once the DA said they had no business hiring a private detective, I thought the same. Most times the only reason LE doesn't just drop the case is because of families fighting to keep them looking and the case open.
Poor uncle. So sad. He clearly wanted her found asap and did everything he could to find her. He is such a loving uncle. I would want my family to investigate. No one just relies on police. Police take forever sometimes

@@JQ127-c4eThank you! The sheriff and the DA were overly dramatic and self righteous at times. I think they worked hard, but quite a few things they said were all for the cameras. That man didn’t shed a tear.
His daughter could not possibly know what her father was like in a relationship. You just don’t understand the complexities of manipulation between spouses that results in manipulation of kids. My mother told me her version of events daily. It took me a long time to work out that maybe my dad had a different experience of events.
You must have an awsome mum. Wish she could teach me how to explain my views on our events so my kids could eventually understand why things happened, happen in our lives
This episode was done so well! I was tearing up at the end. Both for the older daughter, and for the kids - the bear hugs to the detectives and hugging each other.
Im an aunt 7x over and I’d take a bullet for any one of them. I had some uncles who would have done anything for me! I am desperately afraid of dogs but I ran in between a charging snarling dog and my nephews once.
Are y’all really that arrogant that you think you know better than cops who investigate crimes like this for a living that someone acting that way cannot possibly be a suspect? Cops KNOW that it is not uncommon for the perpetrator to stick close to the investigation and really involve themselves! That’s why they began to suspect him. There are so many cases of people -usually the spouse- being very outwardly emotional over their partner being missing or murdered and frequently doing emotional interviews with the press or organizing searches and they end up being GUILTY. They were doing their job and they were right to not overlook the uncle until the evidence pointed elsewhere.
@Cali Yes. People who have Narcissistic and Antisocial Personality Disorders are very dangerous to other people. They are never suitable for anyone to be in a relationship with. It’s very unfortunate when you’re born into a family with parents who have the disorder like I did. It grooms the child to accept the same type of behavior from others when they go out into the world.
I love how the law enforcement in this episode don’t take a private investigator seriously yet in another 48 hours episode a private investigator solves the whole damn case!

You DAMN RIGHT I’m gonna hire a PI to do your job and hope you would understand the extra help. We are not obligated to ONLY let law enforcement work to find missing people. Society has been let down too many times for them to find this offensive.
It’s normal for an innocent parent and he was a step parent to make ‘noise’. Guilty people don’t make noise, they don’t ask how the investigation is going
Daughter said it best. They were toxic for each other. Both of them made bad choices seems to me. Not that she deserved to die. Nope. But she has a measure of responsibility being an adult. Flaunting being with other men rubbing it in wasn’t smart.
My sister has just passed. And she leaves 4 children. 2 are older. But she has 6 year old boy and 3 year old girl. So sad to know they lose a mummy. It’s heartbreaking to think of. We still can’t bury her. 4 months on. They still are doing tests as they need to find out why… I feel so sorry for these kids. This has struck me in the heart. Prayers for the family 💜💜💜💜
Stories like this go to show you how easy it is for police to be fixated on the wrong person. How easy it could have been for them to accuse the wrong man. If they didn't have the video of the husband, then they could have blamed the uncle or bf and made up a scenario of how they did it. It is a scary situation to be a part of.
There are children in this world who are mature beyond their years. These children had experienced a prolonged period of emotional distress before that moment. I hope the rest of their lives are filled with love and security. 💔❤️
As someone who was raised in a chaotic environment (was medical stuff, it wasn't anyone's fault) I had that mentality at the age of 7, its entirely possible if their home life wasn't great or if there were a lot of stressful and anxiety inducing situations happening around them
Steve not only murdered Crystal, he hurt SO many people. His kids don't have a mother OR father, now, and his older daughter (who initially believed him) will always be torn up about what her father did. God Bless those kids. RIP Crystal.
The suggestion by law enforcement that the family interfered heavily with the investigation initially and then turned around to ask the family to help with the investigation is crazy…
Oh my gosh, that had me in tears at the end! That was so deep when the detective was saying “that’s the moment you realize the impact on children that family violence has.” So sad, innocent children. 😢 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’m rooting for them!
This story is breathtaking. Despite the tragedy, the testimony of the kid's reaction to the loss of their parents is so brutally emotional and humanizing. This story also proves there is hope, even in the most absolute emptiness. The muderer's daughter is so sweet and strong. She carries so much on her shoulders. She accidentally finds herself in a situation where besides finding out that your father murdered someone, she also feels responsible for giving back to her step-siblings the love and caring of a mother and a father. God will have a place for you. Can only wish them a long, happy and quiet life.

How strong they seem to be ,bless them and the rest of the family and friends .

I must admit, I got a little choked up when the children hugged. The level of selfishness in these cases truly amazes me. No consideration for the children - it's all about THEIR feelings 😡
You just explained the entire reason for this tragedy, selfishness! Not only on the husband's part, but the wife as well. I'm notcat all blaming the victim, because no matter what no one has the right to take a life under any circumstances other than self defense, but she should have considered being more discreet about her new relationship around her ex-husband especially since she knew he wasn't right in the mind, and that she was staying with him. We can't always live how we want, especially when there are children to consider!
@Zib Ndix I'm not sure what your point is, but there's nothing wrong with being discreet and cautious. The problem with people today is that think it's their right to say and do whatever they want and never think about how it may affect others and the consequences. If you know that your Ex has mental or emotional issues, perhaps it would be best to not expose your personal life to them. Id rather be discreet and cautious and be alive, than to let expose my business to everyone knowing I have an unstable jealous Ex, and end up hurt or worse. Ever since social media, people have forgotten the benefit of discretion and anonymity.

I remember when this story hit the National news, it was so scary because of all the flooding. I had become trapped driving to be home with my kids before a bad storm. This was before cell phones & roads were blocked because of felled trees. I tried a few different roads in to my neighborhood but everything was blocked & the wires were down on my last way in. I pulled my car into a parking lot & walked to my home in the storm. The police & fire trucks were blocking my road because power lines were down & they wouldn’t let me walk in. I knew some paths through the woods and it would have been better with cell phones but nothing was working at my home anyway. I got to my come to find my 2 children age 8& 16 in the bath tube with a jug of water snacks the family dog with a twin mattress rigged over the top of them. it was so cute I burst into tears & my youngest said get in mom your bleeding ! I didn’t know I was covered in scratches from sticker vines from the woods but we were fine. After all was said & done we lost a shed , bikes & lawn mower & such. Two huge trees from the yard but we were all fine.
So sad. I hear stories like this and they terrify me. I have a restraining order on my ex husband and am terrified of him coming after me and our kids (who I have full custody of). His own family is afraid for my safety as well. Constantly looking over my shoulder is a hard way to live
It's sad I had to live like that for a couple years because of my ex. Going to a d.v. shelter and him finding me and police not taking him out my home although I had a restraining order. I was a prisoner in my own home. I was close to being on an episode of snapped because I was rapidly losing hope. I was numb to the abuse and the cops not doing anything all because they prove a restraining order is nothing but a piece of paper. Thank God for family coming by when things were happening and I haven't looked back since

Women act like men don’t have feelings. Wow such is life.
She is a woman that's why she said stupid things. Don't be upset honey
He basically raised her and they treated him like a random
Imagine being an uncle who probably felt for years like he couldn't let down his deceased brother, feeling as though he failed by not being able to protect her and then being treated that way for not wanting to let down his deceased brother again and now deceased niece. 😔

If my family member went missing and had the funds to hire a PI just in case they pick up something in the investigation that the police missed I would hire one.
They seem real bitter.
It was an obvious sign right off the bat that the uncle and boyfriend offered up a reward and the ex-husband did not.
You are exactly correct. This family saw that the investigation wasn't as aggressive as it should've been...in their opinion. They did all that they could to find her.

You care about someone = "very suspect" , not caring "very suspect".
Main suspect = police

Bingo!! This is so common nowadays.
Especially with black women. Its sad
I agree that’s true of their father. I don’t know much about their late mother, sadly. 😞
@@guerralg63 its all on the husband the wife was too nice. Thats not crime steve is a coward and a monster.
The kids break my heart. Knowing that the oldest has to relive the moment that her dad confessed to her in the way he did and knowing that the little ones and her will always have a reminder because of the internet. I’ll keep the 3 in my prayers always 🙏🙏
This is why someone I know divorced her husband after 6years of seperation- the doctor told her if he Strangled you then because of his mental issues he will get away with it- she made the right choice. Even he himself told their children it was the right choice he was no good with the children, it was his fault. His wife kept the house clean made tasty food kept house clean n worked but he wronged her.
Sharing her story on national TV was incredibly brave. I truly hope that she, along with her siblings, finds peace someday.
@@My_Secret_Sketchbook999. Yes, abuse is breaking vows, not leaving an abuser!
The oldest daughter is an inspiration.
I'm SO addicted to these shows now. My sincere condolences to the families.
My sincere condolences, and I need to watch more
Investigators going after her sweet uncle who was obviously upset for good reason is frustrating to me 😢
Kids rose to the occasion better than many adults could. Together. That was grace.
Truly heartbreaking. Great compassionate work by all law enforcement here under extreme circumstances
When my 2nd wife divorced me I was sad heartbroken lost and depressed. But my goodness I not once ever thought to take the life of the mother of my children!
Such a sad and heartbreaking story. The daughter is such a strong girl.
That’s so sad to see the daughter in so much denial about her dad😢
Sad but understandable. She shouldn't be dissed for that
@@RichMcc she needs lots of therapy. Here way of describing the serious events is so casual and almost happy. Working at a bar, raspy voice it’s like not for me.

who else thinks this is so very sad for the kids?
She was gorgeous 🤦🏼♀️ Them kids lost both parents, that's sad!!!
Nothing ever good comes out of two people still living in a house once they made a decision they want to divorce. I’ve heard the story several times. Very very sad.
Wow. His oldest daughter. What a trooper. I can't even imagine.
I feel so terribly sad for the children. So many lives ripped apart by jealousy and selfishness. Rest in peace Crystal ✝️
I've watched this long time ago and still searching for the victim. Now I realised in full episodes with outcomes . Love and thanks to this channel.
But
So sad … once again it’s the children who pay the ultimate price, growing up with no parents 😢
This was the wildest episode I’ve ever seen 😢
I literally jumped out of my seat when his daughter was telling her experience
Have you seen the one where the husband kills the wife but before his father was filming the wife at the end the father gets a visit with the 2 boys slams the door in the social workers face and kills everybody?

The thing that the little boy told is so touching... I am crying.
Going after the uncle is infuriating. How many brain cells does it take to understand an ex-husband still living with a hot, successful, ex-wife who is happily dating others is your guy?
You're missing the point. These are the keystone cops and also rampant shoddy police work is the norm today
When will people understand that these cases are presented in a way to make them more suspenseful for the purposes of entertainment. It's a TV show! In reality, they may have considered the uncle as a person of interest for all of 5 minutes.
@@dollciita lollll so true
Bingo 🎯
@@dollciitaat the very least they had him listed as a person of unrest and it appears that they interrogated him. It's more the vibe and feel of the way that they were talking about him - they weren't acting! Condescending at the absolute very least, unkind and insensitive to be sure
😢❤❤❤
Wow, what a story! Glad you were all safe. ❤
❤
I cried with the daughter when she realized that her father was guilty 😭😭😭
Thank God for family coming by when things were happening and I haven't looked back since
@eveliscamareno5358 hope you are doing well today! 🙏
The aunt and the killer's daughter are Beautiful people, inside and out. I hope they remain in the children's life and God continues to bless them.
Those poor kids.. big sister is very strong. ❤
What an incredible young woman Krista is. Those children have a special sibling in Krista, and I'm certain she will make sure they live happy, productive lives with guidance. To care that much for half siblings shows she is way older than her years❤
I think she is pretty much grown. The kids live out of state so I doubt very seriously she has any relationship with them. That was all talk because she knows she looks stupid thinking her dad was so innocent.
@@deloreslate4028 I am sure she is close to her siblings. Wouldn't you think your father is innocent
@@deloreslate4028 wtf the people who can take the kids live out of state, so you assume that means she doesn't care about them and it was all an act?? Daaaammmn this video is attracting some of the most hateful and unintelligent people the internet has to offer 😂
@@Adelicows Yeah I'm not understanding all the backlash up & down the comments aimed at that young lady... tears rolled down this 57yrs old man's face listening to her describe her last meeting with her dad. Such a sad sad story all around.
@@deloreslate4028 For all we know, Krista might move to be closer to her siblings. Or not, and still visit and call and facetime and keep in touch.
She's a young lady of age to be getting her education and making her life's plans. It's good that someone older and in a better position to raise the younger kids has been able to take them. Maybe Krista looks up to that couple as a 'second parents' role in her life too.
Man, this is so tragic. His oldest daughter is so beautiful and sweet. All the kids are beautiful. And his ex. Wow
I truly hope the kids all stick together. Prayers and love for them.
The selfishness of the killers who make innocent children essentially orphans, traumatized forever.
I understand the police being so angry, but I understand Uncle Jeff. I'll never ever understand killing someone you supposedly love. That’s not loving, that’s possessing.
Yeah… the old “if I can’t have you then no one can”
This teen(?) girl taking the responsibility for her younger siblings has my biggest respect
The moment they said she was living in the same house with her estranged husband it was very much clear who killed her.
Never stay in the same place with smn you don't want anymore ,but is desperate to have you back.
That's a huge mistake. All involved should have known that and protected her and the kids.
Why live with your soon to be ex!!! Makes no sense and makes things more difficult! (like jealousy).

The sheriff has a calling to save indeed. His heart is so pure and so much love and compassion. God bless you sir.
That’s just heartbreaking what those children went through & are still going through..😢
The moment the Sherriff said "the totality and the impact family violence has", broke my heart. Those children are equal victims and that's the harshest sentence
His poor kid who was in college at the time…ugh. How traumatizing for her. He shouldn’t have called and had her come over like that. Poor kid May never be the same. She’s beautiful and seems super sweet and smart, and hopefully she will have a great future despite this horrific incident.
