Yup. That's what we are doing too. As soon as we get teleported we run to the middle, kill the Hydra and minotaurs and then continue onto the far back platform. Then both the outer and inner people have the same view of the Oracle locations.

You can actually reverse climb to the secret chest before the Templar Room from the room itself. Just go to the right of the rally flag and bounce up the rocks. I found it was kind of easier than doing it the “Normal” way.

People in the portal room can use whatever calls they like as both teams will have the same perspective. I prefer to use close and far for my call as I don’t have to memorize which oracle is which number i.e. close left is the Oracle closest to you on the left, far mid is the farthest middle oracle etc. the Minotaurs can hit you if they spawn in the right spot but one person with a blinding nades grenade launcher can blind it to stop it from hitting you.
Another tip for atheon, you only need to call out the first 2 oracles, the third will be whichever one isn’t called out. Puts less pressure on the caller
I personally was a big fan of Salvo in the energy slot. Good for clearing supplicants, and during DPS with time's vengeance active you can use demo+vorpal and reload it almost like old lunas by spamming grenades. It does take some timing tho since the grenade cooldown is just long enough that you have to be careful not to start the reload animation first.
There is a much easier way to do the called out in the boss room. Also since everything is random you won’t have a designated called out so not everyone will know to called them what u call them. The easiest way to do this phase is to keep it as simple as u can for everyone. People that gets teleported run straight to where the banner is and look ahead, while the should guy kills adds and run back to cleans the guys that are shooting, or they can all just stay there. Also the callout s are easier like this, any red light near are Left, Right and middle, lights that are far are far left, far mid, and far right, very very simple and it keeps everyone in the same page.
Nice guide. I tried VOG the other night with randoms, and spent a few hours struggling through the various phases, getting a few weapons etc., and none of the groups I was with could get past the Atheon confluxes phase. I'm new to MMO's and raids, but not to gaming, and I love a good tough fight and puzzles and quests like the next guy, but the complexity of these raids seems REALLY over the top. Who enjoys this stuff? I see the Vex Mytho has a 5% drop chance too. Seems insanely masochistic to do raids.

It's a lot easier as teleport team to just go to where the adds are and turn around and shoot oracles that way. 1. The extra enemies each new Oracle set spawns are there and 2. It's just easier and makes more sense
At boss our team when teleported move to the back of the room and our call outs are the same as what the other guardian sees. Reduces confusion that way imo A few anarchy shots on the floor can help remove the detain cage so your guardian doesn't have to leave the group
I'm at least glad that jumping while Detained was altered. For those who don't know, in Destiny 1 Vault of Glass, if you happened to jump when Detained your momentum will most likely propel you outside of the Detained bubble. The problem is that in about 1.5 seconds you will die. However, in Destiny 2 Vault of Glass, that isn't an issue.
For Atheon, we just go in the back (Venus/Mars) and use the same method except the callout in the boss room doesn't have to flip the sides - having it matched in both places def makes it easier and consistent, IMO.
For antheon, when 3 teammates get teleported, they go to the other side of the room, this becuase we usa callouts as ''left, far left, right, middle far'' etc
For those who don’t have anarchy, I’d say on the Templar boss encounter you can run the following: Witherhoard, Slug shotgun (with Auto Loading), and a Rocket launcher with auto loading. Got easily over a million damage every phase with it.
There is no portal to Mars. It's just pre-terraforming Venus. It's not red, it's yellow. All three rooms in the last section are the same room in different times. Left is past, right is future. That makes the encounter so much cooler.
For defending the conflux pt2 you can actually use the colony up in their face to break their shields. No artifact needed. Obviously it’s gonna get patched but it’s way easier.
Fallout I have followed you for a while but I just wanted to say I have watched many raid guide channels on UA-cam and you are by far my favorite and who I now refer to when I’m giving advice
For Atheon, we used the callouts "portal left/middle/right" and "spawn left/middle/right". In the Day 1 race, we flipped the callouts; yesterday we changed our approach: as soon as you get ported, pick up the Relic, kill the Hydra in the middle and then make your way to the small island (where you usually stand for the damage phase). Now your view on the arena is exactly the same as the one in the bossroom, making the callouts a lot easier. The Relic wielder has to be quick to destroy the Minotaur and make it back to the others to clense, but the rest of the mechanic is a lot less confusing.
made me laugh the detaining part cause i kept forgetting the first two times it happened back to back. Managed to realize in the last sec and hopped in the air but still detained almost everyone. Aaaaa im good now
A great guide once again from Papa Fallout 🔥 Its a shame that people that are new to the raid or solo are having trouble finding others who are patient enough for them to learn 😒😒 Especially when one has an eye for that Fatebringer PvE roll 😔
Way easier Oracle call-out for boss room. Run to spawn to get same perspective. Then back/front right/left and mid. For example "back left, mid, front left"
I just ran my very first VoG last night with my clan (I'm not as active with them as I should be, I typically prefer to play solo just so I don't have to commit a ton of time if something unexpected comes up) and it was a lot of fun. I've only done a handful of raids since launch but I've enjoyed every single one so far. I even got the Vex Mythoclast on my first run which I kinda felt bad about 😂 My RNG is typically pretty shitty and it's my first raid exotic so that part was really cool. I never played the D1 version so I was going in completely blind, it took about 3 hours altogether to fully complete.
Alright... Since some of these strategies or maps are not the best or the simplest can be. Here are some tips I can provide for each encounter. 1) Build the Spire: No one needs to be sitting on the plates for that'sa death sentence unless you need to, as long the plates are not touched by the minotaurs, you should be fine. If touched, sit on it long enough to be reactivated. 2) Defend Confluxs Templar area: There are a total of 6 phases, 3 defend the spires and 3 Objective: _SURVIVE._ Once you do the defend phase successfully, you need to hold out long enough by killing ads or avoid death/negation. The last phase, should all your team except you die... Don't not wipe, wait it out. Chances are that is enough time to beat the last phase and you guessed it, being a sneaky running lad to survive. 3) Oracles: Simply assign a Guardian to 1-2 oracles and call out a number related to the order to shoot based on the sound heard and oracle appearing on that sound. So if a oracle appears in your face and the sound plays the first time, you call 1 which means you start the breaking process by killing that oracle first. Same logic as calling 2 means going second. If anyone doesn't get a oracle appearing even though they are assigned to that oracle location means they get to do ad-clearing for the team. Helps managing this phase a ton and creates a sense of teamwork/responsibility that people do like most of the time. 4) Templar: Fallout got it to the t, nothing overcomplicated. Just remember the same thing for oracles a bit except this time you need 3 oracle searchers and a place to start DPS phase. Keep note oracles can and will start at a time, which means you can either try to yolo it by pumping enough damage to kill the Templar like Anarchy + Double Slug Shotty (10 seconds tops) or play it slow and prepare for the next oracle phase. 5) Maze: The route is easy, but for the secret, Luckyy did make a video on it and yes it has all 3 breaking cibe locations. 6) Gatekeepers: Basically Defend the confluxes, there is a way for someone to stay at one place by uaing the Colony upclose to the minotaurs, aka a glitch. But there is another glitch to skip Atheon fight at this phase... Those who are at Venus after the encounter is complete will need to kill themselves with rockets or jumping off the ledge, being revived by teammates will cancel the attempt and chances to respawn at Venus will diminish. You'll see Atheon chilling at Venus and he cannot fight back, those at Venus will have 2 options of killing Atheon (loot, but game won't think it is completion, aka this was the push Atheon off thing Bungie made) or leaving him at low health for a one phase kill (loot and completion). 7) Atheon: If you chose to leave him at low HP or didn't do the glitch, then this is for you. Make 2 maps of one being Teleported map and one Normal map and assign each oracle by number or location. 2 maps are going to be needed if you want to make this easier. And the person is about to be detained go to that location the person being detained in the video go to for that's the safe spot to survive without putting teammates at risk.
Dude your funny 28:00 in the video talking about how complicated calling out the oracles on Venus or Mars it's easy the way you explain it great guide insightful and funny
I like that fallout doesn't run to the back like every scrub lfg group for oracles. You also don't need to reverse call outs if you number them or like fallout, individually name them. Not sure why people keep mentioning this. Killing adds in the middle also gives you special ammo, something everyone's always out of because of hiding in the back lol running to collect ammo before returning is a waste of dps time too.
You forgot to mention unless I missed it but in the encounter before Aetheon, you can just use syymetry or colony and do not need to use the relic to break minotaur shields
For oracles callouts @ Atheon you don't need to be verbose unless you have 2 oracles on the same side. For example: Left, Right, Mid. It's enough to understand the correct oracles sequence nobody cares if it was front-left or back-right in this case since there's no ambiguity. Whereas you must be specific (using a longer callout) in case you have 2 oracles on the same side. For example: front-left, mid, back-left. In this case because you gave 2 oracles on left you have to be specific. Some people also like yo make only the 1st 2 callouts only, leaving the 3rd and final oracle to the obvious remaining choice
I've never done a raid. And when I was invited to do one not knowing what the hell it was going on. And feeling completely overwhelmed by how much I didn't know cuz I've never done one I ended up bailing. Anxiety got too high I was freaking out and I didn't know what the hell was going on. Their instructions were sound enough for people that have seen vog. But for somebody like myself that has never done this or any other raid it was like talking to me in Latin. I need to go through this one time from beginning to end to learn exactly what to do on every stage and to get over my anxiety. Is there any chance you could assist me with this?
Was going to post that, it used to irritate me so much in the early days. Eventually I think everyone just acquiesced and called it Mars. It was easier than having an argument every time! #itsnotMars.
What’s funny to me is how we all number Oracles during the Oracles encounter but everyone has a different way of doing Oracles during Atheon. My group stuck with numbers and haven’t had any issues when it comes to call outs.
Really good guide. I was not going to bother with this raid. It looked too complicated but you’ve broken it down nicely. Thank you. My main hang up with raids which stops me doing them is that I don’t want to let anyone down.
Oracles can be even more simplified. Just count as you see them spawn and count as you kill them. in order. Looking for the text can be hard while dealing with adds.

Thanks for the video. I have to mention that Jötun is a good weapon to clean ads and dps. Give it a try.
For those who don’t have anarchy, I’d say on the Templar boss encounter you can run the following: Witherhoard, Slug shotgun (with Auto Loading), and a Rocket launcher with auto loading. Got easily over a million damage every phase with it.
Just started playing destiny 2 again after 2 years vog was my fav raid in d1
Ty! Very clear! Was bit nervous to try d2 VOG since only did d1 VOG but this was very helpful!
Great video, thanks a lot.. I will say though, all the different weapons you used in this video was throwing me off haha
Just finished first VOG.thanks very much man .appreciate it .
Reminder that Sleeper Simulant is still a viable and pretty good DPS option for Templar and Atheon, especially if you don’t have Anarchy
Fallout I have followed you for a while but I just wanted to say I have watched many raid guide channels on UA-cam and you are by far my favorite and who I now refer to when I’m giving advice
I'm ridiculously good at keeping portals open! That's it though I'm not allowed to do anything else
Aaaaa im good now
i wanna go back to this era of d2
Dope super comprehensive guide once again Papa Fallout thanks
Prometheus Lens can take off praetorian shields in the Gatekeepers encounter. Use it before it gets patched 👍🏼
I felt like the number method helped with remembering which oracle it was to repeat to the team and make it easier to communicate
This is a great explanation, I completely understand
Best VOG guide out there
"Raaaaaaid?!
Kills Vex Dead"
This isn't copyright infringement is it?
Got Vex Mythoclast first try baby
A great guide once again from Papa Fallout 🔥 Its a shame that people that are new to the raid or solo are having trouble finding others who are patient enough for them to learn 😒😒 Especially when one has an eye for that Fatebringer PvE roll 😔
This was a helpful raid guide
Tip for Atheon of you get detained, you can emote out of being detained
Dude that’s amazing
Using bottom sentinel with food fang pauldrons is great for the conflux encounter
Thank you for the video! Also anyone else get a little jumpy when ether is coming at you lol?
Well explained and thorough video! I look forward to trying this raid.
Prometheus lens works too
I don't play raids, and probably never will, but i still watched. :)
Raids are a waste
Oracle calls at Atheon should be 1-6 clockwise starting at far middle, that way oracle 1 has the lowest pitch note and they go in ascending order.
You can’t have some sick ass retro wave and NOT tell us the song.
Unless I’m blind.
With you, bud. I want a playlist just of the background music.
Can you add a track list to the comments, fallout?
Harris Heller - Protocol
@@Aes866 The song at 1:26 is "Harris Heller - Circuit Breaker"
Sweet guide. Now do shotgun testing between Found Verdict and Felwinters Lie(Please). What's better? Longer Barrel or Tighter Spread? ;)
Nice video fallout. Exceptionally useful and clear. 🙏🏻 thanks.
You never leave Venus.
Right (Venus) is Future
Left (Mars) is Past
Was going to post that, it used to irritate me so much in the early days. Eventually I think everyone just acquiesced and called it Mars. It was easier than having an argument every time!
#itsnotMars.
100% number the oracles clockwise at Atheon, it makes the call outs so much easier.
Hey fallout you ready to range test the new raid shotgun and compare it with felwinters
Just count as you see them spawn and count as you kill them. in order. Looking for the text can be hard while dealing with adds.
finaly!!!
The guide we've been waiting for!!!
Gatekeeper encounter para guardianes de habla hispana:
Martes viene antes que viernes
Martes a la izquierda, viernes a la derecha
I'm really enjoying your guides!
We had 2 oracle killers with Zeno..right hidden was 1 clockwise to left hidden 7...I handled 4 thru 7 from the cliff buddy had 1 thru 3...with 4 ad killers worked pretty smooth
