I'm sure the biggest question I'll get with today's vid is simply: 'WHY?' I've learned that a TON of people have still never beaten (or even attempted to beat!) Last Wish / Riven in D2. This is easily one of my Top 3 raids in the HISTORY of Destiny (D1 included), and you can beat this raid - EVEN IF YOU'VE NEVER RAIDED BEFORE. A like would be appreciated, and if you've got friends / a team / a clan who haven't beaten Last Wish yet? You can do it.
Our clan went into Last Wish for the 1st time tonight, and used your vid as a guide, so even 3 years after you were concerned it was dated, it's still helping out the community. Thanks!
It's okay bro I did it only once. And not the entire raid but just Riven and the last encounter cause the team I played with had a checkpoint at Riven encounter.
My wife, 2 best friends, and I just attempted this raid 2 days ago as our first raid. Several people in my group just got into D2 so it's really awesome to see a guide like this! Thanks so much.
Oh boy, i can’t wait for: “Why this mfk got 10K?! He was just standing and blasting shit!” “Well, you always messed up the wishes!” “How the fuck would i know you call it preggo snake?!” Classic LW experience
4:14 is a huge thing for me. My first time doing a raid, I want the full "intended" experience, not some cheese nonsense. So, thank you for this guide, good sir!!
Important note: the number of doors that open during the Kalli encounter corresponds directly to how many knights you killed while capturing plates. Capturing a plate summons the knight, killing the knight gives you one open door during damage phase. If you only kill 5 knights, you will only have 5 doors open and one player will die EVERY TIME. We've had runs where someone died each time and they insisted they captured their plate but because they didn't kill their knight, a door didn't open for every player.
I'm fairly certain cleansing one symbol corresponds to opening 3 doors underneath that symbol? It's been awhile so I may be mistaken, but I recall trying to run a 5 man Last Wish run and only getting 3 doors open on one of the sides Kalli appears over, and it was the side we only cleansed one of the two symbols on.
Omg i haven't done any of the previous raids in this since d2 launched, i only put myself out there and did DSC because he said anyone can do it, and now im3 a literal pro at dsc even tho it supoosed to be the easiest raid, he gave me the confidence to get back in lfg, i really needed his guide, specifically for this raid, long over due but atleast it's here, much thanks fallout, other guides don't explain the encounters well enough.
I have fairly awful memory issues, and I can't tell you how grateful I am for this guide. It was very easy to understand, and I appreciated the symbols. Thank you once again!
I'm so happy you made this video, now I can actually explain how to do this without telling at people to be quiet so they can hear me and they can just listen to it themselves
Last wish is so effing good, they need to never vault that raid, and if they do, they need to make sure that top priority is getting it back in the game
If they did vault it, I hope they'd bring it back with actually good legendary weapons, and put in new mechanics to force people to do the riven encounter legit (and super cool armor ornaments would be nice)
@@glenseaman5057 the weapons themselves are fine. When I say good legendary weapons I mean giving unique and good perks to them. Something to make them worth using/feel slightly different from any average gun you can get from easy activities. Like what they did with reconstruction on the new raid guns.
This guide has become more relevant than ever, thanks to the weapons being craftable. Thanks for this!! I'll hopefully be able to get my raid team to (finally) clear this consistently for the red border weapons.
The real mastery is to be able to tell everyone where to go and slam most efficiently and knowing the little things about the encounter. ex: the open/closed rooms rotate in a circle
I feel you, I never understood the encounter until one of my friends left the group so I had to step up. Once I started it and did it once. Everything was so much clearer. Just takes time man.
Last wish carry would be nice I’m planning on doing it with vex with catalyst and sleeper with catalyst maybe the Agers scepter with the catalyst as well edit 1 month later: I have everything op in the game bruh how.
Honestly FP, I only ever wished my way to riven, cheesed her and queens walked to get 1k voices, I only did morgeth once to get the egg for the cursebreaker title, and outside of farming catalysts, shurochi had no other purpose. So im very happy I got the chance to vicariously experience and learn the raid through this video! Thanks for the effort you put in to teach this me and any "beginner" who didnt have the time, patience or ability to learn the raid :)
I love this - but I love Last Wish too and I am happy to see you putting so much effort into making such a concise and complete guide even two years into the content. It is legitimately one of the best Last Wish guides I’ve ever seen and I think it is fantastic that you chose to teach Riven legit!! Thanks for the awesome content 💜
Phenomenal raid guide as always, Fallout. Some of my friends have recently gotten back into Destiny, so now I don't have an excuse for having not done any of the raids! Your guide on DSC definitely helped with our first completion, hopefully the same will be true for Last Wish (although the cheese will follow in every subsequent run).
Making guides for things that are old is NEVER a bad idea. I've been playing Destiny for like 4 years now and the only raid I've literally ever done is the King's Fall raid with Oryx way back when. I wanna try this one next lol
I have never actually beat this raid, and was taught through it until encounter 4 where I had to leave. I had forgotten most of that info and barely knew how to pass at all. With this guide, I now know exactly what to do and how to get past it. 100% already liked the video, thank you SO much, I hope the algorithm blesses you and many more people so this 😊 💗
Truly A BIG THANKS to you. Just today we had our first last wish raid & because of you explanation we find it much easier to know what to do. As you said It's one of the best raids in Destiny & you are the best ever who explained this with a huge passion & well detailed. Guardians whom watching this video will always be grateful to you.
Phenomenal timing as I'm actually trying this raid for the first time tonight! Really appreciate the detail, and how you're able to simplify each step. Thank you, kind sir!
Solid guide that atually shows and explains things with diagrams. I can't count the amount of people that couldn't understand this without picture. Like rivens heart run. I've had to explain a friend like 8 times " when you're inside the heart, pick up this glowy thing when the countdown goes near to 0". I'm confident this guide will help out new players for sure!
Wow, actually teaching people to do riven legit. I respect that. Maybe if there were more people willing to do the boss this way I would actually like this raid.
Thank you so much. My group attempted Last Wish during the MMXX grind and we unfortunately could not complete Queenswalk. I now understand why after this "super detailed" video and I can't express how grateful I am to finally understand that encounter. I just hope my group will get back together soon as most have not even ventured into BL. Please don't stop making videos like this!
real talk, my birthday gift to myself is running last wish (my fave raid) with riven legit and your riven legit guide was so straightforward that i genuinely feel super prepared to do it now. thanks, man!
My fire team have been if for almost 3 years coming back and doing all the raid. We just did vault of Glass and now we are doing this... Holy crap it's so much help. Thank you so much
Great guide, watched it in its entirety even though I'm a Rivensbane and never going to touch that raid again (brings me anxiety every time I hear the music xD). A few things about the Vault: 1) You don't need the 3rd plate callout. Once you have two, just go for it so you save a few seconds since the whole thing is on a timer (which resets after three cleanses). Also, a quick note (e.g. T(rees)A(ntumbra), R(ock)P(enumbra)) on the chat (if on PC) helps since I found myself getting confused as to where I should go by round 3 and so many callouts. 2) The knights spawn after every time you've cleansed a plate. After the 1st cleanse, one knight will spawn, after the 2nd two knights on two different sides and after the 3rd, knights will spawn on all three sides. Same goes for the next two phases. 3) It's helpful to know the order of the rooms connected. I always looked at it Entrance (Stairs) -> Tree -> Rock -> Entrance -> Tree etc. That way you'll always be aware where to go when your fireteam calls out which is open and you don't take the long way.
1. That's exaclty why you should make the 3rd callout of the first two plates weren't of the same type. It will also save you time as you won't have to keep running around the undetermined plate until the last round. If you know which buffs go on which plate the only thing you have to remember which is the plate with the unique buff. So you do your callouts and then say "Forest - Ant", so every runner knows that the other two are Pen. 3. When we have first timers on the run and they are struggling with orientation we just tell them go clockwise or anticlockwise.
Pretty sure this is the first time I watch someone explaining the vault encounter so clearly. I was in 4 Sherpa raids and no one includes myself can explain it so well.
I have some friends that want to help me with this raid. Same with DSC. I appreciate that your videos make me feel like I'm not being completely carried. I appreciate that you took the time to make this for those of us who have never done any of these raids before. Personally I've only ever cleared VOG (D2) and Leviathan. With your help and my friends being willing to do the raid with me, I'll have two more Destiny raids under my belt. Thank you so much!
For something like this, you really shouldn't be worried about views. This is incredibly helpful for sherpas teaching raids to newer players. Of course, there's always the datto guides, but they're pretty old and the weapons aren't current. And thank you for explaining the PROPER way of doing the Riven encounter. All it takes is a sword nerf, and people are going to be SOL on completing LW after.
got to admit, I only did it legit once, and when I looked at Datto's old guide, he definitely didn't point out the distinction between when to DPS Riven and when to immediately go after the eyes. I'll keep that in mind, Datto gets the guides out first, but it looks like you're a fair bit better at sorting everything out once the dust has settled.
Nah dude, this is EXCELLENT! It's great to have a good video to point people to when they're looking to tackle this for the first time. Most original guides were so RUSHED that they gloss over so many very important things or only show things from one perspective. This is amazing. THANK YOU!
my friends and i are planning on running our first ever d2 raid together tomorrow and have been using this video as our point of reference while we get ready for it. thanks so much for this, you have no idea how helpful this has been!
Sadly I didn’t have friends to do this with but today I met the most chill people I’ve ever met and I did this raid for the first time yes they helped me a lot with this but my god this raid was soooo fun to play now I’m watching this so I can get a good understanding on how to do it and you helped a lot
i dont understand how hard for people to understand and learn this raid ( even with legit riven ) maybe only vault if you reading or puzzle room in shuro chi else everything is just pull out gun/sword and smash anything that moving
I've heard a lot of sherpas blaming people for not listening... then you join them and it turns out their instruction is very basic and lacking depth. I do understand how tedious being a sherpa can be and I think that's the cause. For yourself the instructions can be basic and easy to understand, but for another it may not make sense. Also not everyone learns in the same way I've found so ultimately if you approach it like a teacher would with a pupil who is struggling then it's easier to educate. That's just some info for your sherpa runs haha. I'm not saying you're one of these sherpas that moan. Just your comment got me thinking.
Uhh allowed to get on the app? If you mean discord how the hell aren't you allowed on discord...OR if you mean the destiny app why wouldn't you be able to get on that either? Both are free and very openly available. If it's your parents then slap them both in the head and get it anyway because that literally makes no sense to stop your kid from downloading. You don't need ANY friends for games now a days because discord servers exist with LFG's. Anytime people use friends as an excuse it's really that their trash and don't want to disappoint other people with how bad they are.
@@CrustedPork now I'm a kid I like to think I'm an obedient one. I also do not deny that I am garbage. But I don't think I will go behind my parents back. Especially not when they give me food water and shelter.
Then you're being a really good kid, ask your parents to help you getting with a group, like have your mom or dad help you with LFG. Since you're not going behind their back, they should put the work in to help you
@@Darthillini well that's pretty cool of him. The youngest in my clan has his parents watching a lot when he plays, especially with new groups. Haven't heard him talking to them during play as much lately though, I think they trust that I'm not gonna let anyone be a creep by now, I treat my clan like family and no one messes with my family.
I recommend this for every new light (myself included) because this makes sooooo much sense. All the details that you need to know are there, and with that you can join a LFG or some friends and not get completely lost. Watching this at the beginning of 2022, btw, so many thanks.
It's worth getting. Petra's Run is one of the most satisfying experiences in the entire game. I recently did a second one to help some clanmates, and man it was a lot tougher in this meta than when I did it in the autoloader meta.
There are many of us who have never done a raid in Destiny let alone this one. Thank you for this. My friends and I gave a cookie to Riven so we put our toe in this raid. Glad to see the Bungie has decided to actually make it worth my time to actually play it.
Also, making something like this for the vault of glass when it comes out would be great. I never did a raid in Destiny 1 either. Was organizing one when Destiny 2 came out. I was working on the no time to explain quest at the time. The people who watch UA-cam videos seem to be unaware of the majority of the playerbase has never done a raid. Keep doing these if you have the time. There will always be someone who needs to watch it.
Fallout As someone who regularly teaches and just... does last wish, I need to absolutly applaud your attention to detail in this guide. Honestly. It covers everything a player should know for the raid (including legit riven, the best way of doing it) I just want to say thanks, for making this raid more accessible for new raiders. You did better then I ever do explaining this.
Dude. I’ve heard of you for a while but this is my first real content of yours I watched. It’s legit great, and is helping this returning destiny player catch up!
I came here for a raid guide and I got so much more. I got a good laugh at multiple parts knowledge of call outs and a stripper dragon. Fallout can turn anything into a laugh and I thank you for that.
Have many clears of Last wish, still thought this guide was really good. Still get confused by vault some times and have never even seen the Legit Riven mechanics. Very cool vid Fallout, THX
Thx a lot for the effort and the comprehensive guide. As a D1 vet who 6 months ago came to D2 never attempted this Raid. Today will be my first with my squad. They have done it several times and i don't want to let them down. I will let you know how it goes. Best!
This is 💯 content. Yes, in 2021 we need new guides for these things. I started six months ago, and have over 30 DSC clears thanks to playing while it was new, but I have only three GoS clears, and only one Last Wish clear, due to the length of time between their release and when I started playing. New guides that factor new weapons, gameplay changes, and even just show up in the feed/search because they're labeled 2020/2021 are useful. Thank you.
So since Last wish is this weeks raid I took two friends that never ran it and the rest of the fire team it was their second time and used your strat on Vault and my god so much easier than what the first guy i did it with was doing. Thank you for this Guide.

Honestly, Riven nostalgia and also I sometimes suck at Vault lol.
Thank you so much!
pov you want craftable guns
For something like this, you really shouldn't be worried about views. This is incredibly helpful for sherpas teaching raids to newer players. Of course, there's always the datto guides, but they're pretty old and the weapons aren't current. And thank you for explaining the PROPER way of doing the Riven encounter. All it takes is a sword nerf, and people are going to be SOL on completing LW after.
"Cloud Snake" or, as my team now calls it, "UwU Snake."
got to admit, I only did it legit once, and when I looked at Datto's old guide, he definitely didn't point out the distinction between when to DPS Riven and when to immediately go after the eyes.
I'll keep that in mind, Datto gets the guides out first, but it looks like you're a fair bit better at sorting everything out once the dust has settled.
Please do a guide on the last encounter of GOS, so many people leave div runs at this stage and people never know how to damage well or build
2023 and still used this to my advantage. Thank you for this content. Very useful! You're amazing
lol i did my first completion today as of 11/17/2021 and got *drum roll*
1k!!!!11211!!!
Nah dude, this is EXCELLENT! It's great to have a good video to point people to when they're looking to tackle this for the first time. Most original guides were so RUSHED that they gloss over so many very important things or only show things from one perspective. This is amazing. THANK YOU!
The fact that Fallout calls it "Cloud Snake" instead of "UwU Snake" still haunts me to this day.
my friends and i are planning on running our first ever d2 raid together tomorrow and have been using this video as our point of reference while we get ready for it. thanks so much for this, you have no idea how helpful this has been!
The real challenge is trying to find an LFG group to run this raid with.
Nobody's playing it anymore.
I'll play it with you bro! I'm on playstation tho
I run this raid every
Week on lfg
@@lord_jayj what LFG do you use
@@dova3050 the one on xbox
Sadly I didn’t have friends to do this with but today I met the most chill people I’ve ever met and I did this raid for the first time yes they helped me a lot with this but my god this raid was soooo fun to play now I’m watching this so I can get a good understanding on how to do it and you helped a lot
"Stripper Dragon"
Thanks for my new PSN name.
Haha
Oh that was such a good video sir! You just made me laugh and learn this raid. Big fan over here
as a sherpa, the hardest thing for me when teaching people is definitely people that don't listen.
i dont understand how hard for people to understand and learn this raid ( even with legit riven )
maybe only vault if you reading or puzzle room in shuro chi
else everything is just pull out gun/sword and smash anything that moving
@@minhnguyen-fs2iv and that in itself is taxxing to people

I've heard a lot of sherpas blaming people for not listening... then you join them and it turns out their instruction is very basic and lacking depth. I do understand how tedious being a sherpa can be and I think that's the cause. For yourself the instructions can be basic and easy to understand, but for another it may not make sense. Also not everyone learns in the same way I've found so ultimately if you approach it like a teacher would with a pupil who is struggling then it's easier to educate.
That's just some info for your sherpa runs haha. I'm not saying you're one of these sherpas that moan. Just your comment got me thinking.
I like updated guides like this for a new year in Destiny because it helps me see what weapons work now for dps.
0:33 haha get it team implying I have friends and am allowed to get on the app
Since you're not going behind their back, they should put the work in to help you
@@izzyxblades when crossplay happens my dad is going to try to get me to play with some of his computer friends
Who else is in the still wants rivensbane gang
It's worth getting. Petra's Run is one of the most satisfying experiences in the entire game. I recently did a second one to help some clanmates, and man it was a lot tougher in this meta than when I did it in the autoloader meta.
Out of all the titles I got, rivensbane was probably the most fun to grind for
There are many of us who have never done a raid in Destiny let alone this one.
My favorite raid to this day, 152 clears.
Great raid. I have my Rivensbane seal and it was worth every moment spent in that raid.
You need more clears plebian.
@@CrustedPork agreed
Thank you so much, researching this in 2020 was painful, thats why I stopped doing it... and three hours later this pops up.
“The way it was meant to be beaten” nope
My various teams and I use this guide every week (well, every week we can get enough folks to play this). Big thanks Fallout.
I just lost 10% of my brain cells
Fallout
As someone who regularly teaches and just... does last wish, I need to absolutly applaud your attention to detail in this guide. Honestly. It covers everything a player should know for the raid (including legit riven, the best way of doing it)
I just want to say thanks, for making this raid more accessible for new raiders. You did better then I ever do explaining this.
I miss when the raids were fun and didn’t require a million dumb callouts
Ever since VoG and crota ylu had to do callouts. Thats just a part of playing with people in teams of 6
@@wtfer25 nah, both could be done with randoms with practically no communication. The only questing was who’s going to carry the relic / sword
Thanks to you, I not only did the raid, but guided people on my first go
Thanks for this, man. I'll be slaying this beast for the first time tonight after nearly three years of play.
I love that the symbol names are 70% the same that my group use and we've never seen a raid guide.
Have many clears of Last wish, still thought this guide was really good. Still get confused by vault some times and have never even seen the Legit Riven mechanics. Very cool vid Fallout, THX
This is one of the MOST precise and detailed Guide ever to exist. Holy fucking crap this is some serious Guide
Thx a lot for the effort and the comprehensive guide. As a D1 vet who 6 months ago came to D2 never attempted this Raid. Today will be my first with my squad. They have done it several times and i don't want to let them down. I will let you know how it goes. Best!
One of the best guides to this raid actually. I’ve beaten it a couple of times in 2018, but needed a refresh of info now, when it’s in play again. 🤓👌👌
Thank you.
Running this for the first time tonight. Also my first D2 raid. This video is gonna be a huge help. Thanks my dude.
So since Last wish is this weeks raid I took two friends that never ran it and the rest of the fire team it was their second time and used your strat on Vault and my god so much easier than what the first guy i did it with was doing. Thank you for this Guide.
I have completed my first last wish full run today. All thanks to you. I was not that bad for a beginner like me.
