Ive just took delivery of a Z H2 SE yesterday!!! wanted a sit up bike not really for touring !!! You only need the top box with a pillion which negates the wind issue a lot. just use the panniers when you are on your own :) perfect bike.. Versys H2 SE!!!
Nice job. Your gettin' smoother, Brother. I like to see you entertainingly woolgather and critically think on your choice(s). Sometimes we see you talk yourself out of a particular bike. I know, I know... and recognize the process. Just to show great minds run similar paths, yesterday I looked at a 25th anniversary, Hayabusa... eeeek!
Guided missiles on 2 wheels can get you in a situation you don't want. Back in the day I had a KZ 1000.. 3 gear 110 miles n hour. Hit an uneven piece of payment..went air borne. All went well, 5 weeks later sold it fir my first harley.. Shiny side up 👍 BTW .. Queen Mary 2 is a definite do again.. (highly recommended )
A good review. I've had a one since 2019 and I've done over 30k miles on it, commuting, touring and Sunday afternoon "bimbles".. I love it so much I've just taken delivery of a '24 SX SE. I'd have no interest in a top box (they do mess up aerodynamics) but but have never struggled for luggage capacity with the side cases and a small tank bag, even for two up trips. The side cases will take a huge amount of luggage if packed well. For me, a great bike will get you to the Alps in one day, will let you play with the sports bikes on the passes for the next few days, then will get you home in a day, all with enough luggage to allow you to dress for dinner. There are very few other bikes that can do that, let alone do it as well as the H2 SX.
One thing you can do is put risers on the bike have to handlebars set the way you want them and you’ll be good foot pegs the whole 9 yard I’ll give you a thumbs up. Good review.👍👍👍
Great breakdown, couple of things since i own this and a 2014 zzr ps, the zzr is faster and have more grunt, the H2sx got updated as a 22 model, its more comfortable than the zzr on the arms, legs and the seat, the zzr is better for the passenger because of the seat height on the H2SX
ya I'm waiting for the Concours (GTR) V3 also haha, just hope they shorten up the wheel base a little for better handeling when they add the supercharger for a idk 1600 engine with 3 cylinders for europe and can we come up with a better cam chain tensioner/ guides please !!!!!!!!!!
I understand your preference regarding the GTR1400, but the H2, with its compact dimensions, is much more versatile than a GTR1400. The H2 allows you to ride comfortably around the city and pass between cars in the same way as with the Z1000SX, parking in parallel in small spaces. The roads with intertwined curves are a delight with the H2, it becomes a pure sport with an enviable torque. A GTR1400 is only good for the highway. Let's leave the H2 SX as it is please hahahahaha
Ohhh yeah my bike and love it so much, my touring and speed bike :) PS SE as well goes with brembo brakes as package. You are riding wrong such bikes, you should keep yourself on the bike with legs and hands should be loose, I get you as I have cruiser bike as well, but once i get on kawa i need to remind myself that i need to squeeze tank with legs to release wrists 😉
The thing is you want this engine in a touring bike which is a different concept altogether, you will lose the sportiness and handling and it will simply be a fast touring bike with the H2 engine. However, I think you’re on to something here - a grand tourer with the H2 engine would sell
Firstly, the H2 SX engine is totally different to the H2 engine. The H2 SX is the sports tourer and is designed to handle 200bhp and the performance that comes with that. For full touring bikes with extra bulk for comfort, the extra luggage, and the aerodynamics of a brick, do you really want/need 200bhp? Surely big torque and a more relaxed ride are more important?
aerodynamics of a brick, not quite, the H2 SX and H2 were designed in a wind tunnel and use a similar trellis frame architecture for aerodynamics and supercharger cooling. The H2 SX engine is not totally different, it is the same supercharger and engine with slightly different power mapping and torque management from the supercharger.
Giant is a bit much my mate. Iv'e owned the 2018 model for 6 years now after a Gen 2 ZZR 14 and a Super Duke 120 GT. I intend finally to produce my own videos on the bike and I expect to open some of the truths of the manufacturers and processing of bikes plus pricing. I assure you that having a top box and your other half on the bike on a European tour will not go well. Not at your age. Best thing you said is DO NOT buy a new one. I think you highlighted one more thing, people of your age and riding style requirements with enough money to buy this bike simply wont, BUT the younger generation won't want it at all due to the costs of purchase and ownership. There are dealerships full of these now at 4 years old with 1,500 miles on the clock. People wear them like expensive finance agreement watches which are only worn on prestigious events. The biggest weakness to this bike is all of it's strengths. This bike was just a dick measuring exercise by Kawasaki and they have got this wrong and should have had a last hurrah using the ZZR like Suzuki have with the Hayjabusa. I bought mine for all of it's tech and I am a petrol head through and through. Cut me in half and it's written inside like a stick of Blackpool rock. I will send you link when I release my videos.

What an awesome bike, and love the standard SX too. Cheers Alf

I know the feeling once you get to a certain age or time in your life 20 yrs ago I'd have loved something like this
In all the ones you have tried, I have not seen a Harley Low Rider ST? Are they available in Europe? They have replaced the sport glide here in US.
Own one and almost 10k km on it. Beside it's heavy weight Iove it.
Picked up my 2021 ax we + for 18k out the door. Used with 1200 miles on it. Owed a 2022 busa and this is way more comfortable. Cheers 🤙🏼

Have you considered the verses? With a Remap, 150 hp I think they’re great bikes I’ve actually got the 2022 Kawasaki SXSE + remap 230 hp and I love it
I'm 58 and ride a 22' H2 SE-SX (Riser's and peg's lowered) and love it !!! BTW I do own a 2019 Goldwing-lol Yeah it sucks Kawa didn't update the 1400
Kawi should make a motorcycle size of Versys, with supercharged H2 engine and zx10r front look. That’d be awesome!
Kawasaki has apparently heard you. Looks like they plan a versys H2. Wait and see
Hi Alf . Could you look into test driving a tri glide ? . I no it’s not every body’s cup tea . Just be interesting to see 🇬🇧👍
Ah I would love to

SXSE=SEXY
Oh No ! Just when I thought “real men ride a supercharged bike” and Alf is one of them, disappointed to know that this one isn’t for you 😉😉

Bro wants an Indian instead of a H2 SX
Great bike but not so hot for your wife.
