Another awesome Wyloch project! Love these guys. Not just for D&D but they'd fit perfectly in any kind of steampunk game or even in Warhammer as some sort of bizarre Skaven constructs or something. So great to see these woefully under-represented guys covered in a crafting video. My own favourites are the little eyeball guy and the pyramid (actually a tetrahedron, but let's not get too pedantic here :) ). The latter is especially cool as the legs look like tentacles so it's giving off that steampunk/Cthulhu vibe that fits right in with the kind of games I enjoy running. Now I'm off to make a set of these for my own games - this is going to be a fun build... Now if only someone would come up with a cheap and easy way to craft Myconids...
I absolutely love this and hope you get to the Hierarchs. Modrons are my favorite kind of D&D outsider by far. They're so bizarre and creative and perfectly fit what outsiders should be, bizarre and alien in both mind and body.

Although, you are almost a year too late for me, lol! I ran Tomb of Annihilation, and it would have been cool to build some Modrons for one of the encounters there (spoiler)! Mind you....we were also already playing everything online at that time, so the miniatures would only have been for me. DOH! Still, I feel like I must make theses now!
A quick tip. The last time I was in my local Dollar Tree They had D&D dice sets for, you guessed it, a dollar. Each set has a D4, D6, D8, 2 D10 (1 regular, one precentile) D12, and D20. I liked the 6 sided with the bow, look like he got popped in the eye LMAO.
I like the way the Wyloch modrons look, the ones in 5th edition are scary with their humanistic faces. Wyloch's version give it more of a Tim Burton vibe or some sort of spooky claymation, like KoRn's music video A Different World ft. Corey Taylor. I'm a huge fan of this and I would honestly love to make some in the near future.

I like the idea of a PC being a humanoid native to Mechanus, that got lost or banished to the Prime Material. Rather than being thankful, though they're deeply disturbed and stressed out by being exiled, accustomed as they were to living in eternal moderate bliss of Absolute Order. They have to acclimate as best they can to a world that is stubbornly, senselessly chaotic and irrational (from their perspective). Learning to come to grips with - and even find the benefits of - disorder.

Very cool. I just finished making a dice tower. I will send you some pictures. As soon as I figure out how. Could you do a miniature of Thundarr the Barbarian?
My friends and I just recently finished the 5th ed. Sunless Citadel module; DM, a monk, and me as a warlock. Since our party was undersized, we each had a henchman; mine was the stab-happy rogue quadrone Observer Two-Two-One, or OTTO between friends. I played OTTO as a pretty straight-up copy of Nordom (the modron from Planescape: Torment,) except he had a tendency towards "enthusiastic" stabbing - ie, his rolls were freakishly good, and he scored crits left and right. It was an absolute blast, and I hope to use those characters again!
@@andreazaltron6850 We don't get to see each other all that often, so we: 1) spread it over a just a handful of sessions 6+ months apart 2) ad-lib the pants off the actual module 3) spend a lot of time with "social" encounters. Imagine there is a very determined though heavily deteriorated monodrone. It had to make modifications to its body to save as much precious energy as possible, protect itself and still able to explore as much as it can while finding its way home. It has no legs and its body can split into two halves. While moving, it closes up and rolls around a metal ball, though can still tell where it is going by using his sensors but cannot exactly see what is around him, just what the terrain around him is like ( he might use a beeping sound to echolocate for an added character?). When it wants to open up, the ball splits open and reveal an eye on a stalk and two arms. the bottom half that used to have legs is these stumps to help stabilise itself to hop around. it cannot speak nor understand any spoken language but through experience, learned to recognise gestures. This monodrone would be classified as a rouge, though it is still a loyal and dedicated creature that wants to fulfil its one mission, Voyage. Pcs can either help him or leave this little voyager to its own journey in unknown territory. This idea came from watching how these curious creatures are made, their lore, a bit from the Star Wars franchise (the rolly polly R2D2 look alike), as well as the Mars Rover and the Voyager satellite.
How did you get the completely black background for the closeup shots? I have been able to make the space behind the model black, but I can’t find a way to make the surface it is on black as well. You seem to be able to show the entire model, including the base. As always, awesome video!
