Nice tutorial on tire repair ! The strap really works well for me also , I’ve never used rubber cement on the stem or bead , I believe I will try it ! Thanks Harvey!
Hey Dave, I don't like working on tires, finally, I collected up a few techniques that bring me some success and I figured that I would share them... Thanks always for Ur thoughts, encouragement, watching, and commenting!!
just had a Honda 250 4 wheeler gave to me has no wheels but the price was right its been really busy around my shop looks like i will be staying that way for a while i am happy about people around my area have found out that i can fix small motors and they are swamping me
Hey Troy!!! Which Honda 250 did U get, a chain drive unit or shaft??? Cool that U R making some deals.... Deals kind of breed more deals!!! Good luck with it all... Thanks always for Ur thoughts, info, encouragement, watching, and commenting!!!
@@HarveySpoonerit is a2007 250 ex it all complete but the wheels and you are right bought a Kawasaki kdx 3 days ago for 5 hundred it cleaned up nice it would bring 2 thousand easy now but i think i like it for now
i like your stile Harvey that is the way to do things the rubber cement is a good idea think i will pick some up and put in my tire fix stuff good video
Hey Troy, I have had good luck with the rubber cement, it helps slid the tire on and seals it well, thanks for Ur thoughts, kind words, encouragement, watching, and commenting!!
Hey everyone I saw a million UA-cam videos using the same technique and decided why not add one more! Since we don't all have straps you can us a stick with a rope knotted on either side with enough loop to fit around the tire and twist it. DONE.
Hey Vernon! I used to have almost no success working on tires, I finally got a few tricks and they are much easier to deal with now... Thanks for the encouragement, watching, and commenting!!!
So you took the valve core out of the stem to get more airflow which makes sense. After it seats obviously you have to disconnect the air source and put the core back in. This doesn't disrupt the seating of the tire?
Hey Dude!!! I have a friend who took a split rim ring to the head, he never fully recovered, the foundation of night mares... I'm sure Ur stories are not pretty either!!! Thanks for understanding, watching, and commenting!!!
With all do respect... really LONG video where you don't physically go through the motion to demonstrate to the kiddies how the valve stem installer fulcrum tool works nor BLASTING the tire with air. C'mon man! Starter fluid+toss a match=DONE. I've had ONE TIRE BLOW UP on me in my 55 years of mounting tires. When applying air waiting for the rubber bead to POP UP to set on the rim bead, I saw a bad spot in the tire on the opposite side slowly moving out & away from the bead. I KNEW it was gonna blow & turned away. IT WAS LOUD when the rubber blew.
Thank you, Elmers cement is a good tip. Also, removing the valve stem to get maximum airflow.
Amazing, I'm a smallholder in Suffolk England. Trying to do a job on a Bank Holday. Straps really worked, thank you
Thanks for this! Saved my butt today. Had to move three loads of wood inside from the woodpile. It was a tire on my Bosch trailer.
Very smart technique

Tire to face is not helpful lol you are awesome love your cdi vids as well !

You showed that you did it but, you didn’t show how! How did you get the burst of air to fill up the tire & seat it to the rim?
good video, thanks
Thank you Harvey I just did it with a ratchet strap thank you sir
I’ve tried the strap and it’s not working, air comes out as I’m filling it up…what am I doing wrong?
Harvey, Great video, I will be posting a video soon that shows how to bead the tire back on with brake cleaner!
Hey Wrenchin!!!! Is brake cleaner volatile enough? Thanks for the info, watching, and commenting!!! I look forward to Ur video!!!
@@HarveySpooner it works wildely well! I cant wait to hear your feedback. Stay tuned!
Sorry for the delay, ua-cam.com/video/NPcnGGYFfKY/v-deo.html
If you remove the valve and just push the compressor hose over the stem it will blast the air in much faster!
Any tips mines only coming off a little bit after a crash
Works like a charm😅
Good stuff..Harvey..thanks.

Hi havery iv got a atv with 20-10-10 tyres can I put 21-10-10 on with out having problems thank you

No. Once the bead is set it wont come off unless the tire goes flat and gets hit or goes flat for a very long time.
why does he skip the inflation of the tire and the beads snapping on?!
My thoughts exactly!!!
nice job.
Worked in a tire shop many years seen my share of accidents

Admire n appreciate your thinkin maybe tire go boom makes ya born agian believer sanctified by holy blowy of the tire🤣
Actually the "guts" that are inside of the valve stem, are technically called a "schrader valve".
Or valve core
Cool
Hey Terri!!!! U know that I dislike working on tires, but, I'm finally having some success... Thanks for Ur thoughts, watching, and commenting!!!
We didn’t see the hard part !!!???
More than kind of a pest Harvey. A PITA.... Man I dread these things
This shit worked yoooo,
thanks imma fuk wit ya
I use toilet ring wax :) and starting spray
cool
Hey Bob!! So much easier to push them around when the tires have air in them.... Thanks for Ur thoughts, encouragement, watching, and commenting!!!
Long winded video showing nothing. me thinks this guy just loves to hear the sound of his voice.
Please don’t call the valve core the guts! I kept banging my head every time you’d say the guts. It a valve CORE! You replaced the valve stem.
Valve guts, haha!
