An exquisite lesson! Spiraling to the floor hasn't come easily for me. I've been practicing the spiraling movement for two weeks now and I'm so excited, I finally got it. I will pass it on to my students.
Very nice! Yes, my aikido teacher makes us aware of these 3 principles, without which the is not much 'Martial' or 'Art' in martial arts, Thanks for sharing with such lively simplicity.
I will definitely start to try that. I’m 61 and since my knee operation I can hardly go on the floor and I miss that. It looks effortless when you do it- but you are very slender. Hopefully it also works when you are more on the heavy side?
You're welcome, Mr. Wally! I noticed you've done several of my videos recently. I'm so glad they help you. And that goes for the other commenters here also.
I seem to have too much "ballast" on my butt to be able to get up easily, though getting down is fairly easy. Am I doing something wrong, or is it my big bottom? Lol
I just discovered these videos. Once I get down to the floor, I have never been able to get back up. Now I can. I thank you, and my knees thank you.

Beautiful, effortless, and fluid. Learning about the spiraling of the pelvis is crucial. Thanks for sharing this great lesson.
