Looks great. I like the weathering. It looks like they’ve given the Kamikaze pilot an older plane. I’ve not used the masking film before but I think I’ll have to add some to my kit. Thanks Andy.
The best thing on TV / PC this evening, I guess that aircraft was flown by their worst kamikaze pilot who kept bringing it back. Again, simple techniques that when you know....... are so obvious. Really enjoyed it !
Nice work on one the best looking Japanese planes of WW2. .l made the Hasegawa kit of this back in the 80's and still a good kit today, if you can find one ! BTW Ki.84's had 2 x 12.7mmm firing through the prop arc, and a 20mm cannon in each wing
Great job on such a tiny model! I think you chose correctly to weather it hard like that. Kamikazes were probably pretty fresh, but would have not had cannons.
i have to agree the weathering is over the top but its a great demonstration of superb weathering exercise! Coupled with a wartorn hangar vignette I think this model will look even better!
I like the look. Only thing I'd change is that considering that Kamikaze was same as Seppuku, a ritual suicide, they'd have given a quick spray of green on the plane. So, green but the ratty chipping would still be visible through the thin paint over it. So would look a little fresher, but definitely they'd use used and at end of life planes.
If I were the squadron CO and I had to select aircraft for one way missions, I'd keep the good ones and send out the heaps of junk. I think the weathering is appropriate.
A thought. You could have solved the wear vs realism problem by painting and weathering the model then applying the red stripes last. As those would have been painted on for the last mission it's possible that the whole plane wasn't painted, just the kamikaze stripes.
As a result, a great model! I didn't like the chips to the metal a little, and a little too much with weathering, but this is already a matter of taste.
Looks amazing. Hope you don’t mind one suggestion though. The yellow on Japanese planes is more of an orange yellow. Mr. Color C-58 is a matching color.
Kamikaze aircraft carried bombs. The Ki-115 was built solely as a kamikaze aircraft and it had a bomb crutch. Not sure if the bomb could be released in flight
@@chrismartin3197 I suppose then it's possible that the Ki-115 was a 'flying bomb' and the inclusion of the bomb was simply to increase the destructive power of the impact.. fair enough :)
Honestly, the weathering is over done, the panel lining isn't the right tone for the model and calling the Hinomaru a roundel is a tad disrespectful... Other nations call those emblems a roundel, but to Japan it's the Hinomaru and it's revered as well as still in service. Overall, you haven't considered the scale of your model and painted it appropriately.
Love the " as it's a kamikaze, the paint would be new"
If it was even painted at all !!
Your models look like they could taxi out at any moment. Really well done.
Better than museum quality. Far, far better. Thanks for sharing.

Why's it taken me 2 months to find this. Great work again. I wish my shed was like yours
Awesome build and kit mate, thanks for creating and sharing!
NIce result! You were just riveting the wings last time I dropped in!
Absolutely fantastic. I really look forward to your builds.
Excellent build, thank you for sharing!

Depends on version, some had 4x20mm, some had 2x20 in cowling and 2x30 in wings - intended for bomber interception
What a great result in a masking nightmare! Congrats!
That’s was a masking masterclass!
Beautiful Build!!!! Thanks for sharing
High quality modelling stuff from the beginning to the ending of video! Congrats and tks to share with us!
Pretty damm nice build. Very comprehensive..............................................................
Brilliant build. I really enjoyed watching the process.
those circles are perfect, insanely difficult to pull off something like that. Well done
Great job on such a tiny model!

Very nice
Great detailing in 1/72. I could easily mistake it for 1/48 scale.
I enjoyed this video build arma hobby a plane from Japan.
....красивооо,красиво......формат видео-космос!.....
Just a quick pointer, you've used Mitsubishi cockpit green when it should be the substantially lighter Nakajima green
Impressive kit, beatifully made and finished........
Not to mention a very nicely produced video ; top marks, mate 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Very Very nice model. Excellent build. I am impressed with the result in this scale!
Beautiful mate fantastic build
Sometimes beauty is better left alone.
my god man !!! i'm speechless !!!

Truly outstanding work!! I can't wait to see what you build next.
Amazing result. I wish this kit was easier to get.

Great work as usual. Keep them coming. Also, your shop is a gem, will call in again next time I'm in that part of the country.
Very nice detailed kit you made here. Result is great ✨👍✨
That's stunning 🙌🏻👍🏻
Такой мелкий масштаб а так классно собрано и покрашено!
Я бы глаза сломал )
Я тоже раньше собирал в 1/72 и красил. А сейчас глаза вытекут 😁

Excellent work mate, thecweatherinvcand chipping was outstanding, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
Nice job!
Really great work Very nice
superbe model
A great video, thank you.
Fantastic👏
Well well done 👏
Amazing work 🎉

Good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent!
Awesome job on that, looks nicely beat up and worked. Those Ki-84s are good looking aircraft, a bit "muscular" like P-47s.

Can you please do an eurofighter? Revell has got some, and I think they look good.
Love your videos, and keep up the good work!

very good job man! really nice
Suuuperr ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice.
Amazing work on this scale. Btw, what is the name of the music that starts to play around 19:17
bonito 👏🏿👏🏽👏👏🏻👏🏼👏🏾
Quick question. What is the brand of your jig for holding the model?
Just getting back into it, and I'm looking at getting one.
Там не только самолет старый и ободранный, но и бомба тоже не раз использовалась похоже?)
What masking film do u use, great build
👏👏👏👏

Maybe it's a kamikaze that wasn't used. The reference material had to come from somewhere.
...да!,да!,да!-моделирование-реалистичность.......
So I guess this pilot has flown multiple Kamikaze missions. Does this mean he's very good or very bad at his job?
Really impressive as always :) Question though, why would a Kamikaze pilot have a bomb? That suggests it's not intended to be a suicide mission.
Clearly to make more damage if the plane hits something.
@@JohnyG29 If that were the case the fuselage could be packed with RDX or another explosive. No need to make it detachable.
Google is your friend.. Its to cause more damage. Apart from bombs, they were loaded with extra fuel.

Just a comment for the algorithm
Great video!
Btw - any chance of removing the music from future videos? I find it rather distracting.
Pls dont he basically mutes it when speaking so it doesn’t do anything other than make the video more interesting.
@@spookyno1401No, pointless music/noise is just annoying.
@@JohnyG29 no it isn’t and he is not going to listen to you complaining about light background music.
Hayate Japanese aircraft fighter plane. ❤😊🎉👍🤗☺️😁🤩💯🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
I think the weathering is overdone. Should be cleaner at that scale.
Was thinking the same thing, other than that clean build though!
Na, it looks fine to me.
That is your opinion dude. I think it looks great
Have you seen these aircraft in pictures? Some are worse than what the model looks like . this is 1945. Not 1943.
Why are your videos so outdated
