That was a excellent video and build project, well done my friend, I did think the background was a bit dark, very best regards to you and the West Country, from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
Wahnsinn ! Sich dieses Video anzuschauen lohnt sich ja alleine schon für die Tips und Tricks die man hier gezeigt bekommt, vorallem der mit dem im Kleber geschmolzenem Plastik um Lücken zu schließen . Sehr gute Arbeit , gefällt mir super gut 👍👍👍👍👍
Dude makes more appealing videos than I can imagine. He's like studio blue ocean. (He's another diorama UA-cam and makes incredible things like this man) except he makes dioramas and warships while SMS makes planes and tanks and cars
Every single video is a tutorial on how to make the very best models you can. I absolutely love every video. Thank you so much for sharing your work and your expertise. It makes recreating each model so much easier for a absolute beginner like myself. 🥰☺️
Excellent work and video, the Sea Harrier is one of my favorite planes, the level of detail and the paint work are beautiful, I send you greetings from southern Argentina.
Very good...congratulations ! Please...I suggest the assembly of the 1/48 Kinetic kit of the Mirage IIIE specifically for this model, as there is no video of such assembly...it is a challenge to assemble it Kfir's 1/48 Kinetic kit is even easy to assemble. Thank you.
I love the build, don't love Kinetic much. Erm according to my research when I built my tiny 1/72, the powers that be decided medium sea grey was too light and the Harriers were repainted extra dark sea grey all over. The Argentinian pilots called them "muerta negra" Black Death. Keep the vids coming sir they are inspiring and your narration keeps the attention strong. Thank you.
i love the result and i love your work, something about this specific model just fits between a clean model and overweathering. i see most content creators overweather their models making them unrealistic and out of scale. but this is just perfect.
She's a beauty alright! Always loved the harrier, its got such a distinctive silhouette and i love the way you did the exhaust staining, it looks fantastic!
Nice job Andy. You always do a fine job on your models. You make the even the basics look easy when I know from experience that isn't always the case. Sometimes it's the model, sometimes it's my attitude that gets in the way & I find myself having to push through to the end. There's nothing worse than having a workbench full of half assembled models! I try to hold myself to the edict that I can't start on something new until the previous model is complete, and it is NOT easy!
It may seem similar, but I built the Tamiya kit that I think you are referring to not that long ago, and they are very different. I have to agree with you, the tamiya kit is absolutely awful.
Very nicely built and painted! The explanation of how to deal with the inaccuracies of the kit were presented very well. Looking forward to the next video...
Looks great! I learned quite a bit from this video, thank you. I've been involved in military aviation for 30 years and the weathering you recreated looks very good. Military aircraft take a beating, especially in a salt water environment and the technicians dirty hands and foot wear. Outstanding work.
just FYI, turbine blades are numbered in the order where they are taken from. sort of like removing lifters from your engine, you always want to put them back in the proper place so they dont impose different wear patterns on the mating surfaces.
You should try black basing your main paint job. It looks like you spent a lot of time trying to get a realistic looking psint color with the different layers of paint & masking fluid. I don't think it turned out your best... Doog models has a great video on black basing paint jobs. It's s bit older but workd perfectly!
Another top video, thank you! I'm wanting to add a Harrier to my collection, any recommendations? Also, Ammo masking liquid, have you not had yours go clumpy?
Is warping a regular issue with Kinetic kits? Have a 1/48 Hornet and the upper half of the plan is horrible warped and trying to straighten it with hot water
Nice build! I do have a quick question, how long will the 'sprue goo' last? Can you make it as a batch and it will keep, or is it a case of make it when you need it only?
You know, now I wonder, signs are one of those things like car alarms that serve no purpose and yet seem inescapable, but what struck me was the big 'ROYAL NAVY' markings. I have to wonder, I have to, if putting who 'owns' the attack jet has ever been even slightly useful in any context? Like, I'm pretty sure the RN knows it's their aeroplane. Jets aren't the sort of thing you lose track of even in the Navy. And I cannot imagine any situation where the baddies are saying 'I don't know who is shooting at me, I'll go have a close look... oh, it's the Royal Navy!' Feels like it's going to be one of those things where no one really knows why you still paint that on but no one's wanting to be the person who tell the RN to stop.
You made a good job of a rather poor kit. Getting that main wing into place and all that filling was not easy. I really like the weathering of the grey also, that grey colour offers a lot of possibilities.
It’s not just Kinetic; you have to be careful buying a LOT of these Chinese made model kits. Although I haven’t built one in about 10 years Trumpeter was by far the world’s worst with either ill-fitting or incorrectly shaped parts and if you’re serious modeler (like myself) you sometimes ended up spending more for corrections sets than what you did for the darn model kit itself! That’s why I always do my research before I pull out my wallet. If it’s American, European, or Japanese odds are certain it’s a good fitting kit but if it’s Chinese, watch out!
@@ihavewaited90daystochangem51 Only goes to show the Chinese wouldn’t know quality and accuracy if it kicked them in the butt! The first run-in I had with Trumpeter was building their 1/32 scale F-105D kit I bought it about 20 years ago and spent close to $100 on it only to be highly disappointed with all sorts of problems, most notably with misshapen pieces and a cockpit so bare it made me wonder why even add what little halfhearted details they put in it!? I had to spend over another hundred dollars just to get correction kits and better decals to fix the discrepancies. It was a lesson well learned for me, but like you I’ve had good and bad experiences with Trumpeter. The way I see it if another manufacturer makes the kit I’m looking for I’ll probably go with them instead.
I have been warned by another YT modelling channel to stay away from this Kinetic kit, Worthless instructions, ill fitting parts etc. In the end he did succeed in making a wonderful and historical correct model of a Sea Harrier though.
Like most of us watching your videos (and others im sure) im amazed that a kit can be so poorly produced. If i went to ikea and bought a bookcase and it had gaps like that and parts i had remove because they're in the wrong place........oh hang on, that argument doesn't work😮
Good grief! Although you build a very nice model, I figured this Kinetic version would had been an easier much better build. I think I’ll continue to avoid them! ✋
Wow, numbering the fan blades...now that is some attention to detail!
I'm smiling at the cocktail stick paintbrush, so clever and you can bin it when finished.
Excellent work, silk purse and sows ear springs to mind...
I had to look that up as I had not heard that saying before. Very fitting. lol

HELLO.nice work.glad you are back
this is worthy to be as a NETFLIX documentary...lovely made and oh dear that epic music background...Great job !!!

Your build videos are unmatched in quality. Every single one.

Lovely. I like the way the rear fuselage turned out with the staining etc from the thruster/nozzle.
Excellent work and video, the Sea Harrier is one of my favorite planes, the level of detail and the paint work are beautiful, I send you greetings from southern Argentina.
Looks great, and well done with filling those terrible gaps!
Brilliant! Really nicely done 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
What an enjoyable watch that was.......
Rear exhaust streaking is excellent.
Love the way you have painted 2 different shades of drop tanks just as we would have fitted them on the Squadron. Overall finish is fabulous. Thanks.
Narration is important when it comes to scale modeling videos and you do a grand job! Thanks really enjoyed watching this
Beautiful plane, beautiful job, grew up watching these and Tornados take off from RAF Cottesmore, hats off sir, great model form a difficult kit! Rory
Very nice work. Great tips I will try in the future!!!
Very good...congratulations !

That sprue goo is a technique I have never seen before. I learned quite a bit from your video. Great job, by the way.
Excellent results from what appears to be a troublesome kit!
I love the build, don't love Kinetic much. The real problem is at the back but you handle it very well! 👍
A real beauty this one, love the weathering!

Very nice! Nice looking harrier and very subtle/accurate weathering. I like the inclusion of your references.
Very nice work. Look forward to seeing your next build 👍
Hi Andy. Just another fantastic model. Truly you put us, mortals to shame. Lol. Loved the video and look forward to seeing your next build.
Beautiful build.
As always, just a superb video log,I would also like to say your advice and tutorials are just the best out of all them.
Thank you very much 🇬🇧
I bought this model brand Italeri 1/72 not long ago. It’s a very unique plane not every day to see. Respect from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Looks amazing, well done!

This looks like a reboxed Tamiya kit that I struggled with sometime ago. Well done for making such a great job of such a bad kit.
It isn’t though. It’s Kinetic through and through.
It may seem similar, but I built the Tamiya kit that I think you are referring to not that long ago, and they are very different. I have to agree with you, the tamiya kit is absolutely awful.
Great job!
You did a great job on this dog of a kit.
Fantastic build mate! Thanks for your sharing this, especially "Sprue Goo" ! that seems to work better than any putty I have used. Again, nice work
What a fantastic build, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.
Very nicely built and painted! The explanation of how to deal with the inaccuracies of the kit were presented very well. Looking forward to the next video...
Wow! You are a master! Thank you for sharing your techniques.
Really amazing work!! I love harriers ❤
Thanks for explaining what you're doing so clearly. The what and why are really interesting and useful to know.
Excellent work on a pig of a kit
So beautiful great work, I notice that this model hasn't the Sidewinder Missiles congratulations
Great build Andy. I have one in the stash so it was really useful to see your tips and tricks on the fit issues. Superb! 👍👌
What wonderful creativity and skill. Brilliant job, fantastically presented as well 👍🏼
Excellent work, the weathering was so realistic.
Spru glue! Thank you for the tip. This will be a huge help on crappy gaps.
Thank goodness you are going easy on the weathering. I think there’s too much weathering on models these days. My opinion.

Stunning mate as always. Love your videos and advice. My modelling has come on massively since watching your channel.
Hello mr. Shed!ohh i like that 007 uk Markings.with sticky greetings from Brandenburg/germany.your modellmate.christian
Nice tips thanks for the help 😊😊😊
sprue goo... interesting. definitely trying that out
Cool build. Would've been nice to see her as a tribute to Davey Morgan or "Sharkey" Ward from 1982, but that's just me.
Impressiv realistic Coloring !.

Inexcusable on a modern kit
Amazing work
So glad I subscribed to your channel. This Harrier looks amazing! The exhaust staining technique is a Master Class!
That little clear lense could of lost been made with a good canopy glue.
Something for future reference.
Another top video, thank you! I'm wanting to add a Harrier to my collection, any recommendations?
Also, Ammo masking liquid, have you not had yours go clumpy?
Outstanding
Badly fitting kits make the best tutorials.
Absolutely great video. Is there a good reference source for the dark gray harriers other than google?
This looks like a shocker of a model to build. Does no one beta test them first ? Great job :-)
Another decent job. I must start up again. Have you got any Tornadoes in your stash?
EXCELLENT!!!🤙🔥💨💨
Can you do the choonook next please (u can if you want )
Fantastic
Andy - thank you for doing this vid. I just ordered this kit after reading Harrier 809! Is that a turbo airbrush you are using?
Sanding and some more sanding
👍
Is warping a regular issue with Kinetic kits? Have a 1/48 Hornet and the upper half of the plan is horrible warped and trying to straighten it with hot water
Nice build! I do have a quick question, how long will the 'sprue goo' last? Can you make it as a batch and it will keep, or is it a case of make it when you need it only?
It will only harden if the TET evaporates. So if you put the cap on the bottle after usage it keeps just as any other cement we use!
👍👍👍
Actually I have always found silver to be the best at showing imperfections as it is notoriously unforgiving
I think it's good niss Woon

kinetic kit looks bad, almost like a revell
Not many brand have this product. No choice

This kit is too expensive for all the work you got to do. For the parts to correctly fit . It's like a kit from the past.
007 DONT FLY IT NEAR RUSSIA.
seems a pretty poor kit if you ask me with all the panel gaps and the amount you had to kitbash to make it work...
Over weathering really destroyed the model........ ....
i do this sort of crap as my hobby and i think ill never get to your level
