The movie is already ruined in the script. The plot fits in half a tweet, and it makes no sense to begin with. Random russian gansters living on American soil, they randomly get mad at him for no reason, somehow they find his house, that has no alarms or defense measures at all, somehow they manage to beat up the best killer in the world, at the nightclub Wick literally has the russian guy running 3 yards in front of him and he somehow miss 10 times lol, then the whole plastic bag assassination and the final showdown.... ugh, you need to turn your brain off and throw it off a cliff to appreciate this movie.

Two years old and this one still cracks me the hell up! Last Christmas I played it on my phone for my brother's family. Not even knowing about Pitch Meetings and not knowning if they had even seen John Wick, they all still laughed like crazy.
The problem is that basically it would be : So he kills a very big bunch of people in very creative, brutal and graphic ways But isn't that gonna be hard for him? Actually no... It's gonna be super easy, barely an inconvenience. Okay then! What's the plot? I don't understand the question Alright! Not having a plot is tight! I really love the John Wick Movies but the "story" of the third one wasn't even worthy of a trash movie...

see, i don't think its about teh literal translation..i think its more about cultural interpretation. not gonna pretend to be an expert on Slavic culture, but from what i've heard, baba yaga essentially fills teh same role culturally as the boogeyman. now, i DO find it odd that someone would have taught the mobsters SON that translation. or that the son would translate it at all considering he (presumably?) has the background to understand without needing to. but it was obviously more for american audiences. as for krampus i thought he was more germanic than Slavic? could be wrong obvi.

see, i don't think its about teh literal translation..i think its more about cultural interpretation.
not gonna pretend to be an expert on Slavic culture, but from what i've heard, baba yaga essentially fills teh same role culturally as the boogeyman. now, i DO find it odd that someone would have taught the mobsters SON that translation. or that the son would translate it at all considering he (presumably?) has the background to understand without needing to. but it was obviously more for american audiences.
as for krampus i thought he was more germanic than Slavic? could be wrong obvi.

Possibly my favorite pitch meeting, for possibly my favorite movie. You pick apart John Wick's issues very accurately, while still acknowledging how genuinely awesome the movie is overall.
