My summer morning routine with medical grade skincare

- This is my current morning skincare routine. I have switched to chemical exfoliation only and decreased the heaviness of my hydration. I'm using a lot of Skinbetter Science products with a few ZO skin health and Alastin mixed and of course one of my favorite Colorescience Sunscreen.
I am a fan of professional skincare also known as medical grade skincare because I see the difference in my skin when I use high quality skincare products. I think they are great for specific skin concerns and great for anti aging, so definitely worth it.

Thanks for the great video! What is your opinion on ZO Brightalive vs Skinbetter Even tone for pigmentation such as freckles?
I would say similar but I haven't really specifically compared for freckles.
Wonderful video. I'm currently using the Obagi Nu-Derm system and love it along with tretinoin. Do you recommend ZO over Nu-Derm?
Actually nu-derm is my favorite from the Obagi line. If it works, keep going!

2 questions pls: do I need to use moisturizer after the alto advanced defense serum or it’s enough on its own? (want to use it in the morning, I was thinking about the refresh moisturizer by skinbetter cause I have the trio for night and it will be too heavy for me in the morning)
And second question is the counting from the first, what do you think of the refresh moisturizer that is more light weight? Is it good for oilier skin type?
I find the new Alto Advanced quite hydrating and enough in my regular routine.
If Trio is heavy for you then I suspect the Alto Advanced will be enough.
I agree Trio is heavier than the refresh hydrator.

After Alto, before sunscreen
I’m noticing a little loss of elasticity on the skin in my neck. Would the techno neck cream help or do you think maybe be more consistent with micro needling?
The best results would be combining SBS techno and Alastin neck cream (because of the trihex technology). Or you could alternate one and then the other.
In terms of in office procedures, microneedling is a nice natural way to help strengthen the skin. You could also look into a resurfacing lasers. And the most dramatic changes are seen from injection of a filler called hyper dilute radiesse, so you could research that topic too!

Do you ever refrigerate your skincare? I was thinking of buying the alto defense but curious as to whether I should refrigerate it
I do refrigerate, eye masks, sometimes masks and eye serums but most of my skincare is room temp.
Think birth control pills of long term cause melasma? I use zo skin health hq regimen etc. bit developed this in the last year. Been on borth control pill 10 years and wondering if that has caused it. If I get off, will it go away? Any feedback you have heard?
Birth control can cause melasma. Hormonal changes like pregnancy can also cause melisma. In some people it will go away if they stop the birth control but it's impossible to say until you try it yourself.

Hii i know i'm late to the party but the skin better serum sounds so promosing i realy need to know how much % vitamin c in it before buying? Also can we take a moment to talk about that glow 😻🌠
It's so hard to talk about these things without disclosing too much proprietary info (which is not allowed). The vit C is an ester (THD), it's a very stable form of vit C. However I wouldn't necessarily think of Alto as a vitamin C serum as much as a comprehensive antioxidant serum with vit C. It has 19 natural antioxidants some of which are more potent than ascorbic acid. I think it's the best antioxidant serum on the market. The new alto advanced also has 2 DNA repair enzymes and stabilized arginine to increase circulation and help increase delivery of active ingredients.
Skinbetter does not disclose concentrations but in a head to head study with a gold standard C E ferulic, Alto outperformed the CE ferulic

never. My eyes would be itchy and watery. I normally put sunscreen on the brow bone.

No, I have been applying acids and tretinoin on my eyebrows and they are staying put, but I know they fade for some people. Maybe it depends on who does them and what pigment they use? I honestly don't know
