As a mom of 3 young kids, self care time is very limited, so at this stage in life I prefer quicker routines for morning and night. I really appreciate products that are more “one and done” so that I can still take care of my skin even when I’m rushed. Thanks for this video; it’s super helpful!

I do enjoy a good self-care ritual every so often, but on the daily basis, my skincare’s gotta be quick and efficient.
Also, I purchased the Colorescience sunforgetable FLEX based on your recommendation and I LOVE IT! It evens out my skin tone and gives me such a healthy glow. But oh boy, you were definitely not joking when you compared it to a foundation. A teaspoon of that sunscreen gave me too much coverage, I had to combine it with the untinted version for less coverage LOL

I'm hooked on watching your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all of this information with us! I have a question and I hope you'll see this. I am hooked on the Skin better line, but after the first 8-10 weeks, I don't see much more, if any, further change in the brightness or sun spots on my skin. After watching a few of your videos last night, I ordered the Timeless Skincare Vit C (in both 10 and 20% so I can start at 10% and then move to 20%), but now I'm confused as to the order to apply my products. I cleanse with Oxygen Infusion Wash. And I have the following- Just ran out of Alto Defense, do I need to repurchase if I'm trying the Timeless Vit C? I have all Skinbetter products - Interfuse Lines, Even Tone Correcting Serum, Alpharet Peel Pads, Hydration Boosting Cream, and AlphaRet Clearing for nighttime. I just purchased the Sun better Tone Smart SPF. Can you help me with the order of application? Do you offer consults? THANK YOU!

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  2 роки тому +2

Yes absolutely, the Vitamin C will go on first and you don't need the alto unless you want the other 18 antioxidants. The lines is a spot treatment where you want to plum. I use it under my eyes. then even tone. then boosting cream. SPF
PM. peel pads, alpharet clearing serum, boosting cream
      Does that make sense?

Thanks again...i hope the product works well for me. Which brand do you like better overall...skinbetter or alastin? I haven't tried either yet. • @theocbeautymd

I would emphasize a really good sunscreen, and incorporate either skinbetter even tone am/pm or start with prescription hydroquinone for 3-4 months and then follow with Even Tone.
Myself, I use the Zo skin health pigment control and blending cream (hydroquinone) for a month or 2 and sometimes I stop there, other times I follow up with even tone in the following months. Brightalive is supposed to be really good too but I haven't tried it yet.

Just subscribed. Love your content and approach to skin health. Thank you for this concise routine! What do you advise for my skin type as a serums/lotion? I have sensitive, Fitzpatrick 2, combination skin (Oily T-Zone). Skin will get bumps, be reactive if it does not like a product. My skin has slight redness (minimal rosacea) and I do, on occasion see my skin is dehydrated. I recently switched over from prescription Tretinoin cream 0.025% since I was getting some irritation. My skin can tolerate the SkinBeteter Alpha Ret yet only every other night. My skin does not like Vitamin C!! The times I see my skin become extremely irritated is when I use a Vitamin C serum. With that said, I do NOT have an AM routine that includes antioxidants! My skin is overall healthy and I'm past 50 now. Would love your recommendation for an antioxidant to add in! Thank you! so much! (And, I wear tons of mineral sunscreen! I Love ColorScience!!). 🥰

Based on everything you said, Skinbetter Science Trio and Alto Advanced came to mind. Trio will give you nice hydration without irritation and the Alto Advanced is a new product that has 19 antioxidants plus niacinamide and two DNA repair enzymes. My only question is are you sensitive to vitamin C in the Ascorbic acid form only or does THDA (ester form of vitamin C) bother your skin as well? The esters are much more gentle.

Hi Laura, you're right, I've been under the weather for most of October. Feeling better now. I am planning a video on hyperpigmentation but I'm not sure when it will be up.
Melasma is a real challenge. In terms of in-office procedures, I think the clear and brilliant 1927nm treatment is great but you need at least 3-4 to see marked improvement.
For topicals, sunscreen is the key as well as hats and any limit to sun exposure.
If you want an aggressive but effective treatment, hydroquinone is great and my favorite is the Zo skin health pigment control and blending cream. One works superficially and the other goes deeper into the skin. You can not use a hydroquinone for more than 4-5 months though because after 6 months or so it can cause a different kind of dyspigmentation.
A favorite non prescription, non hydroquinone is the skin better science Even Tone, this one is safe to use all year round and it helps even out the skin tone and calm the melanocytes.
IPL is also an option but it would not be my first choice.
      Hope this helps 😘

Hi Laura, the more the merrier for sure! You are so sweet, thank you ❤️
I do not know of any coupons. Skinbetter is so strict about distribution of their products. If you ever see it on amazon, it's likely a fake. You can catch sales though! Those would usually be through medspas around Christmas time. Some medspas even offer free shipping so that would be your best effort to find a discount. The highest I've seen is 20%. Otherwise, skinbetter does gifts with purchase. Have a great rest of your week! 😘🥰

@@theocbeautymd Thanks! I bought the intensive line serum on Sunday night. I wasn't able to buy it through you become I needed your zip code to find your location. I googled your name, with no luck. I linked it through a provider I've never been to...i hope they still ship it!

@@lescarb1 Yes they will. Don't worry. I'm in between offices, but if you go through my website, you should be fine without a zip code. Let me know how you like it!
