I am a 58 year-old disabled woman. That very much loves watching your videos. I get to see things through your eyes and your videos and it means the world to me. I even got my 35 year old son watching your videos and we would watch them together. Until he died May 2nd of this year. That's why I have not commented in awhile. But life has taught me never to give up. And my son had admired that in me no matter how bad things got for me I kept on trying and just kept going. Life is a little bit more lonelier. But I still enjoy watching your videos seeing the sights and places you see through your eyes. Thank you so very much. Give that little precious boy of yours a hug for me. And tell your wife she's doing a awesome job also. God bless
I’m very sorry for your loss and I’m happy to know that we can bring you even just a little bit of joy during such a difficult time. I’m sure your son is still proud of you for not giving up!
Once again, Thank-you for Sharing your Wonderful & yes, at times, kind of tough & Challenging Adventures of Home in The Yukon !! You Both & Westley, are so Appreciated !! You make Us, Serving far from Home, Very Proud !!
Since I love winter, and also snowmobiling, this is the best video ever! I love it! Great job filming that James, including your “stuck” incident. Happens to the best of us, even without pulling a 500 lb. payload.
When I was a kid, my parents took me out snowmobiling all the time. They would bundle me up and we were off on the trails for hours. And I never got frost bite I might add. And it was damn cold at times with temps reaching down in the teens and sometimes twenty below zero. (Minnesota) As long as you are prepared, you should be alright. If not, you learn quick. Hopefully! 😀
What are the most beautiful landscapes in your country, the mountains, the snow, even the child looks beautiful in those places. Congratulations, good camping, greetings from Medellin, Colombia.
With snowmobiles, speed is key. Don't hesitate, if you have clear view a front of you, just floor it. When you are stuck, stand behind it and lift it to the side to get new grip, saves a lot of time instead of digging.
Your not gonna just lift the back end of a snowmachine that heavy over And just going wide open with gear on and behind the sled and with passangers.. its not always that simple.
You were in my backyard Jim. Learning to ride a snow machine has been one of the more humbling experiences for me. Totally been there. Hooked on the videos man. Keep ‘’em coming
I visited Sky High Wilderness in 08 & again in 09 for a total of about 5 or 6 weeks in all just by myself (with guides and other guests present) all the way from the UK when I was in my early 20s as a way to completely disconnect from my rubbish IT job at the time so it's been great watching this series so far. I actually slept on the bench of the same walled tent those many years ago! I hope you managed to get out to the trapper cabin too - bring on Ep 5!
Haven lived and snowmobiled in Labrador for 3 years you learned very quickly to avoid bushes at all costs with a large snowmobile. Bushes harbour large voids that eat machines. We always led with lighter machines to set the snow pack and followed by larger ones. You did not have that luxury but Fortunately you had a shovel and got out safely.
I love the snow don’t get me wrong, but I really cannot understand how Torri can be totally happy with all the hard work and having a young child to deal with in that kind of weather it cannot be easy.
Wow, been waiting for your yukon episodes and here it is. Thanks for virtually bringing us along with your adventures. I love seeing your videos especially with tori and wesley on them. I really admire the toughness of tori. When i was young, i do hard chores in our farm but not as hard as tori does. Shes a gem, hold her tight!
Thanks for another awesome video both of you!! Watching Super MOM working away with Wes on your back just shows how awesome you are! Bring on the next video. Thanks 👊👊👊
Great episode of your trip and I really enjoy them keep them coming .You and Tori are a great team and Wes was great , they are just like us we all have our bad moments .never apologize for what is just Wesley thought of another bad hair day when you remove his hat. So cute . He's a great little traveler .Stay safe .and just enjoy the journey .
Stuckmobiles. It really tough out there in midwinter fluff. Reverse should be relabeled as instant stuck switch. Really enjoying you three in da snow on a summer morning here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Refreshing.
Watching you packing and putting everything on the skidoo trailer, i said to my self hope Jim dont decide to pass by Fish Lake on is way to the main camp, Tori will leave him there. Ha! what a adventure dude.
Well they went to fish lake again maybe yesterday they took the scenic trail and got stuck couple time so they past the day on the trail or they just have some nerve to repeat the process for ice fishing this lake. Patience and physical condition to be able to do this, chapeau!
I have to say much of this had me laughing out loud ... as mentioned by others "hop in honey if you still trust me .... what other choice do I have" LOL LOL You 2 are just perfect together and Mr. Wesley is to cute for words. As a fellow Canadian with curly hair, I can relate to his doo. Another stellar video sir!
I think kayaking the Northwest Passage would be GREAT training before attempting to hot tent in the Yukon in winter. I really enjoyed the video, but I'm in complete agreement with Wesley when it comes to fishing on a snow covered lake.
Hey Jim…. Just finished your Yukon trip 4:21 Video. Awesome trip and so enjoyed it. Now I’m watching you on the snowy trail. I like your channel. Just have 🛎 to your channel. Thanks for an awesomely entertaining evening . Atlantic Canada 👌✅🛎 LilliStJohn
You’re very welcome! Really glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching and for your support! Just got back from a 25 day canoe trip across northern Manitoba
@@JimBairdAdventurer DOUBLE WOW 🤩 I love Nature, and i enjoy your voice….. your music is ok but really loud and distracting when watching your shows…… and your show is great. Don’t mean to complain but you don’t really need so much music. Sometimes it drowns out all other sounds??
I got a little tight when you guys got stuck. Worried you would be exposed out there with Wesley. Then I remembered you and Tori have slept in a tent in the snow. Wesley was getting that super fresh crisp air on the rides. Probably helped him sleep. Some disappointments snowmobiling which happens- but the views awesome. I’m really surprised you ran into other people snowmobiling out there!
Jim, I’m re-watching your arctic watershed solo series. Which is awesome cuz I live in Cochrane and fish the first 3-4km of the floodwood where you started your trip quite often. I was wondering why you don’t bring 1-2 dozen worms and throw out a pickerel rig where possible at your campsites in the evenings while you’re setting up camp? Also looking forward to more content dude, all the vids are awesome!! Hope the Fam Jam is doing well.
I should man! You know it was so hot when I did it they prob would have all died by the end of day one in this case though. That’s a nice stretch of river there in the flood wood for sure, wish I’d had more time to fish it .
i see your at it again BBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR umm i wonder if the lite snow quad might have been easier little safer lived in minnesota 6 years so i am not a snowmobile fan
That is a big heavy snowmobile, especially with passengers and a loaded sled in tow. Wouldn't be good for breaking trail and def not as much fun as solo ripping through powder.
Ya, the motion usually just rocks him off to sleep. We live in Canada and are outdoors regularly with him in all seasons of the year so, ya he’s good. We use hand and foot warmers for him regularly too.
Another Baird Friday night show, there's Jim in underwear and boots in the cold getting snow for water, funny, not as much as the thought of snowman face Tori, she's golden for going along on these adventures, video would have been awesome but aint that always how it works out.
Your one tough women Tori, It sucks big when your snowmobile is on a hill and gets sucked in , but it happens .,been there. Epic views of the lake and mountain . Fresh air would be great for the little man, he must have slept well at night . you two are awesome parents love to see kids experience the outdoors in all weather it is good for their health , it is what i did. Happy to see that you folks stopped at the lake . yup the little man was over tired with all the excitement have to love his hair lol

She should have her own sled. Too hard to handle a machine riding double or triple in your case. Also, when you get stuck, have your woman operate the sled while you pull on the skis. Should walk right out in most cases. Very seldom does it help to try backing up.
Indeed, particularly while you’re up on top of a bush! Lots of side hilling which isn’t too easy with a wide track Scandic and the snow was very deep and granular. Tough to see the trail sometimes, and sometimes there is not trail so I can make for some interesting riding, particularly if you’re not experienced with those types of conditions.
