In the last 60 years, more American soldiers have died because of their leaders lies and the *cowardly* silence of their fellow American citizens than the bullets from their 'alleged' enemy's guns.

Your song just pierces the soul. I retired from the US Navy so I have a soft spot for songs and stories of warriors. I don't claim to be one. I was a submariner during the Cold War. If I had been in combat I'm afraid we all would have died or never been born. So please give a thought to those still out there watching and defending all of us.

Thank you for your service, Chief! I hear ya about if you'd been in combat, but I regard you as a warrior nonetheless. You were the tip of the spear, of a spear we dared not throw. Being that close to that kind of destruction, and a target yourself, not to mention living for months at a time under a crushing weight that could kill you instantly at any moment, takes a special kind of hero. Don't think the rest of us out here don't see or appreciate that. Thank you, and all others like you who serve under arms, for our freedom!

WOW!!!!! I am overwhelmed! You guys NEVER fail to deliver!
Cover's are tricky, too close to the original and its a so-so copy. Too far and it becomes something entirely different and usually forgetful. It can/is a struggle to find that balance!
Dire Straights, to me, is sacred ground that few should dare to tread. However, once again, you folks have managed to create magic!
Sending much love & much respect from south eastern Arizona.

    Dire Straits
    These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
    And always will be
    Someday you'll return to
    Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn to be
    Brothers in arms
    Through these fields of destruction
    Baptisms of fire
    I've witnessed your suffering
    As the battle raged high
And though they did hurt me so bad
    In the fear and alarm
    You did not desert me
    My brothers in arms
    There's so many different worlds
    So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell and
    The moon's riding high
    Let me bid you farewell
    Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line in your palm
    We're fools to make war
    On our brothers in arms

I'm old, so it easy to say things like this with the hope that you will think about these words and learn from them. One day you will all come to realize just how good you are. It will be that day that you realize that you are the artists and the industry is full of clowns trying to package you into their neat little world. Hank Williams knew this. The Opry rejected him so he went directly to the people and played for them. The Louisiana Hayride got and before long Nashville realized they were the ones on the outside looking in. Hank came to Nashville on HIS terms not compromising his artistry one whit. You are that good to where the industry will come to you on your terms, just grow your brand, on the street corners, in the laundromats, wherever an ear of humanity exists. Be heard...

“If we don't end war, war will end us.”
    H.G. Wells
Hayde, hit you where it hurts most!
A hauntingly beautiful rendition of a Dire Straits classic, "Brothers In Arms", drawing back emotional strings of empathy, creating a captivating smoky maze of endless possibilities; tragedy, death, and destruction, and hope are there too!
The heart knows the currency of war that will extract the debt from our sons, and daughters, paid by every breathing life form on this planet, in blood!
God Knows, and offers mercy paid in blood by His Son, to heal a broken world. Grace is its name, a passport from the grave. That tree bears much fruit, "charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, chastity."
Is this version of the song more powerful than the original, or just a sign of the times, we stand at the precipice of nuclear war....
I wonder if Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra could sing this in Russian, Chinese, and Iranian?
Wouldn’t it be Good, if we respected Palestinians, Ukranians, and every nation's people’s lives!
If we don't end war, war will end us!
What are we waiting for, a gold medal in the extinction race!
The end game - Vladimir Putin sits on a rotten fleshlike throne, upon a mountain of ash, the king of bones!
We are a beautiful creation, surely we can do better than that?
Until then, pray for peace, and prepare for war, if we are going, we are taking them with us! It's just how the story goes, how it ends.

Oh how very much I love this band's treatment, interpretation and performance of this beautiful and emotionally stirring song. I come back here to listen to it often because it touches my soul so incredibly deeply and emotionally. Some bands and vocalists have this unique ability to 'borrow' someone else's song and because of their own talents and unique abilities, they are able to make it all their own as if they themselves were the original creators. It does not happen often, but when it does, it is a beautiful Blessing to witness and behold and to be a part of the listening audience. I Thank You all so very much Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra for bringing such listening and emotional joy and inspiration to my heart and soul. I am forever grateful to you for your talents that you share so freely and willingly with your listeners. Bravo! 😍🥰😃
