- Fishing for the famously aggressive shoal bass in Georgia, I started fishing shallow grassy edges and found the bass ready to ambush my topwater lure.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Be Fishing
It's so good for mental clarity and well being.
Thanks Jon and Aaron for another AMAZING video 📹 👏
This trip of vids will be a classic when people are looking for flint river fishing. They are some of the most action packed fishing videos available.
Nothing beats some choppo action! Definitely my favorite way to catch them!
oh we know you like the choppo
@@CreekFishingAdventureshaha
Day 2 looked just as fun. Can't beat a topwater bite. Can't get over how beautiful the river looks. Nice work Jon and Aaron. Blessings
That's an awesome river, I love how you show the scenery of the surroundings, it's shame you had to leave, on up from the shoals the water looked deeper from the drone, I've seen other videos of shoal bass being caught & they get big up to 5lbs, I believe oh Aaron caught the biggest, but I'm sure you & Aaron had fun!🎣👍
Awesome video those were spunky firecrackers... I have a tip for you take a gold Sharpie and on your fishing rod take your ruler and put the measurements on the fishing rod so when you're away from your kayak you can measure them with your fishing rod that's what I do anyway ... that was a very productive day.
Great video! Those 2 perfect casts under the tree at 9:45 were flawless. I'm still at the point of pruning trees to recover my tackle.
What a beautiful river and such a cool fish!
Beautiful footage. Those bass seem even more aggressive than Yesterday. If That's possible. That water was awesome. Thanks John That's the only way I'll ever get to that kind of place.
Thanks John for sharing. great looking shole
Hybrid kayak/wading can be really fun. Looks like an awesome day!
They were all over the grass! Awesome trip Sir.
Another solid river fishing video, love finding hidden gem creeks/rivers myself
Hot time in Georgia, but a lot of cool catches !! Good trip with Aaron. Now a long trip home. Always be careful. Pap Blevins
Thanks for bringing us along John. Great drone footage. Beautiful place to fish.
Nice relaxing video. Looks like a beautiful place to fish. And the drone footage was awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Wow...that's one of my favorite shoalie holes. There all the time. Wish I would've known you were gon be in the area...and don't worry, I ain't telling..
John John John, why do you tempt us with these amazing fisheries. You may cause me to lose my job sir..LOL This was another great video and it was good to see Aaron as well, what a great guy he is also and fun to watch. GOD BLESS AND GO KATS!!!!!
haha, its hard to resist a place like this
This is my favorite video yet!!
This has to be one of my all time favorite video John, so many fish and so much excitement 🐟🎣🐟🎣
Cool video John, those were pretty bass. God bless you and your family and friends...🙏❤🙏❤🙏
Hey love your vids has inspired me so much and i don’t understand how you do all of these grate vids it would take me a million casts to catch something with a choppo 😂
Looked like a fun time. Those fish were so aggressive. Remind me of some of the smallmouth in the creeks around here in southwestern Pennsylvania. Nothing like taking a little dip to get cooled down. The heat has been brutal this summer. Great job out there, another awesome video!
Hello Brother, went out on Sunday and caught 3 big rock bass, 2 big sun fish, 1 big crappie and my first channel kat😊!! All by using the techniques from your content!! Thanks again for everything you do 🙏
Just can’t beat topwater! Great videography!😎
Great video and beautiful river. Looked a lot like the Shenandoah
Awesome river. Looks like a great time!
Super nice day! 👍
Wonderful fishing as always! When I use a snap, I like to make it an owner touchlok(I think that's what they are called). They are compact, don't catch grass, very tough, and you can be sure they wont open up on you. I had problems with all those things when using other snaps.
Awesome adventure John 😎
Love the Choppo
Nice shoal bass man good times I need to get out that way! Keeps me going nice video!
Choppo time!! I caught a couple on top today, love to water action!
Go catch some fish.Very kool place to explore. Thanks for the video 🙏🙏
Fun fishing for sure
Classic intro, you know its gonna be a good one😎
Because of you I tried the bone Choppo 90 caught my first bass on top water. Love it so exciting. Love your videos
That is awesome!
There were a few lizard lions on the banks at that one spot of the bend......
Looked like fun. Loved the video
i’d love if you got sponsored by a fishing motorized kayak if you want to stand up n fish or sit but a design change of putting a electric outboard. then put one with a hand throttle down the middle or foot control it would come with those new gel batteries. then add built in dollie wheels you deploy to help you get in and out and roll the kayak with cg save the hull that way.
definitely a awesome video! wish i could swim in some creeks here in Texas but half of them are all dried up sadly
My favorite place to fish!!!
Great video and nice fish
That’s a beautiful river! New subscriber to the channel, take care!
try some regular spinners in these types of places where there is a lot of flow - tons of bass in these rivers as you saw - i tend to think they look a bit more realistic than spinnerbaits - hope you can continue to float some of these bigger rivers going into the fall #tight lines #mepps
Next time when fishing treble hooks you can grab them by there gills it like Paralyze them but they be ok when I release them tho
I know that location. That must have been an interesting ride out after it rained. That hill out is a little sketchy.
yeah it feels like it takes forever to get in and out
We've caught a couple 20+ inchers there this year..
I love my 90 whopper, in white. I caught my PB in a river with it
Great video
When I wade fish I mark length up my rod from the handle starting at !4", 16" and 18". Then I can always tell. I use fingernail polish.
Good Blow ups.
Man that place was on fire
No alligators were seen just a sign to beware, also I didn't see any snakes!!
Nice video!
John your streams are awesome much better than tv anglers
Hey maybe next time you come to Georgia you would like to fish Charlie Eliot
Use your pole as a measuring stick, and measure your pole later. I do it all the time
Haven't caught squat on the whopper plopper here in nh this years last year I got my personal best on it
I forgot about August I will try to caught some in the river.
The grass is were the fish is but you still have to watch out for Alligators and snakes they love the grass.
Anyone planning to go for shoal bass?
My favorite fishing target on my favorite river. I’m always planning another trip! I live in Atlanta now but grew up on a tributary creek for the Flint River in Southwest Georgia. I’ve been fishing for Shoal Bass since long before they were officially recognized as a separate species from the Redeye (aka. Coosa Bass).
Yes sir. I live 10 minutes from where you were and are there all the time. You went over a killer spot otw. Hope I see you around some time.
hey going to be around lake Cherokee this weekend. any good creeks around there for smallmouth?
not sure the creeks but the holston river is a great smallmouth fishery
can you wade it?
@@CreekFishingAdventures
Beautiful fish, actual gators, ouch...
I’ve been fishing it for 35 years.Shoal Bass. I know exactly where you are.
What’s the name of the top water plug that you are using in this video?
choppo
Whats that lure/bait called
Hi John. Question/observation. Lately the quality of your videos seems to be like 480p instead of 1080p. Really blurry and choppy. I don't have that same viewing issue on other channels I watch. I can even watch some of them on either 1440p or 2160p. Very clear. They also don't ask me to upgrade to 1080p premium. What is that! ...Having said that, I do really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing and taking a stand for Christ.
hmm thanks for letting me know, i dont know i will have to look at it
I was there when that big tree fell
Fun
What wet wading shoes are you wearing?
columbia they were like 50 bucks
@@CreekFishingAdventures they good on the rocks?
The handle on my rod is 14 inches. It's 19 inches to the x on my EX6 rod. If I stretch my hand out, It's 9 inches from my middle finger to the end of my thumb. I don't need a tape measure.
Measure the length of your forearm and memorize that number. Next time when you can't get a true length of a catch for whatever reason, compare the fish to your known measure and get a better guesstimate. Love the classic intro vid!
You best be worried about water moccasins than aligators.
surprisingly i didnt see any snakes
Gust fort
#765👍🏻🚣🎣👀
Love those top water blow up’s
Try bfs
The best part was the absence of Spotted Bass. Spots are not welcome in the Flint.
Watch out for allergies in there.
Too much talk!
Measure the bass against your fishing pole...take a picture, then ruler it later...should be fairly accurate.
