  • Fishing for the famously aggressive shoal bass in Georgia, I started fishing shallow grassy edges and found the bass ready to ambush my topwater lure.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

That's an awesome river, I love how you show the scenery of the surroundings, it's shame you had to leave, on up from the shoals the water looked deeper from the drone, I've seen other videos of shoal bass being caught & they get big up to 5lbs, I believe oh Aaron caught the biggest, but I'm sure you & Aaron had fun!🎣👍

Awesome video those were spunky firecrackers... I have a tip for you take a gold Sharpie and on your fishing rod take your ruler and put the measurements on the fishing rod so when you're away from your kayak you can measure them with your fishing rod that's what I do anyway ... that was a very productive day.

Wonderful fishing as always! When I use a snap, I like to make it an owner touchlok(I think that's what they are called). They are compact, don't catch grass, very tough, and you can be sure they wont open up on you. I had problems with all those things when using other snaps.

i’d love if you got sponsored by a fishing motorized kayak if you want to stand up n fish or sit but a design change of putting a electric outboard. then put one with a hand throttle down the middle or foot control it would come with those new gel batteries. then add built in dollie wheels you deploy to help you get in and out and roll the kayak with cg save the hull that way.

try some regular spinners in these types of places where there is a lot of flow - tons of bass in these rivers as you saw - i tend to think they look a bit more realistic than spinnerbaits - hope you can continue to float some of these bigger rivers going into the fall #tight lines #mepps

My favorite fishing target on my favorite river. I’m always planning another trip! I live in Atlanta now but grew up on a tributary creek for the Flint River in Southwest Georgia. I’ve been fishing for Shoal Bass since long before they were officially recognized as a separate species from the Redeye (aka. Coosa Bass).

Hi John. Question/observation. Lately the quality of your videos seems to be like 480p instead of 1080p. Really blurry and choppy. I don't have that same viewing issue on other channels I watch. I can even watch some of them on either 1440p or 2160p. Very clear. They also don't ask me to upgrade to 1080p premium. What is that! ...Having said that, I do really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing and taking a stand for Christ.
