Yes do a catch and cook with Darrell. And by the way catfish are not bottom feeders they are an ambush fish they eat gizzard shad any bait fish. From muscles to clams and bluegills
That one hurt me. I really hope they can patch things up cause the Norm/Lojo/Ayo collabs were the best in the game. Still here for all three but damn...
Dude. Forget the marshmallows. Use chicken livers on a 6/0 circle hook and use magic thread to keep it on the hooks. For flatheads use live bluegills or bluegill heads.
For your problems with the line getting cut I would recommend using mono because that has way more cut resistance that is what I always use it it works great
You think so? I can bite through mono and cut it with cheap old nail clippers, but I can’t say the same about my braided line. Haven’t gone over 20 pounds for either so maybe the larger line makes a difference, but from my experience braided is far more cut resistant.
Fished here in '88 on leave from Ft. McClellan. We went downstream to see if we could catch a bass or two. There was a copperhead behind a downed tree blocking the trail. We sent it to copperhead hell. However, we where there during a bass tournament and our boat reservation was cancelled. That's why we were here with the catfishermen. It was really packed that day. The locals were doing well. Thanks for the video!
I'd love to try a baitcaster there with some 20lb on it. Fish in those back currents downstream. I use mine down here on the Mississippi. Get some monster cats carp and buffalo on it. Might want to try some garden dut crawler's next time too. Though the mellows are doing pretty good.👍😄
In heavy current, get down a bit and cast up toward the outlets and let it drift past you. Real in and repeat. Use the drift. It works. Works for big blues, flathead, walleye( if you have them) wipers, white bass. Use appropriate bait or lures/jigs for species. Nightcrawlers and shiners work for everything. Leaches on a jig in spring work for walleye.
Sup lojo, some nice fish, that guy had a haul, he must piss on the bait🤣, could get catfish from rocks for home pond lol, love to see a waterside catch and cook 👍, the setup I wonder because marshmallows float don't both get tangled? We used to use marshmallows on end hook and bait on other, just never used the saltwater one? Grouper setup never thought of lol, UA-cam kept freezing up🤬, Tyvm tc 🎣
Gotta try night time catfishing, especially on rivers with cut or live bait, I use 65-85Lbs braid with 80Lb mono leader, cut up or live bluegill, carp, and bullhead
Down here in Colorado where I live one of the biggest fishing spots is off a dam, never have I thought of using mallows, going to have to try it next time
The only UA-camr putting out more content than me.... Lojo, you are a BEAST.... You have been KILLING it brother. Don't want to sound condescending, but.... I'm very proud of you buddy. I'm new to UA-cam but not business.........
LOJO I grew up catfishing and more than bass fishing I watched a lot of ur videos learning techniques but when it comes to catfishing I wouldn’t use braid you can get 50 pound mono it works better and when it comes to reels if you want a nice setup either grab a zebco 808-888 or a abu Garcia ambassador
6" to 10" white twister tail grubs, with a 1 oz head, 6/0 hook I use a 14' Rod with an 800 series spinning reel. When it's generating it's a killer combo. Throw right behind the gates let current run it.. Right behind the gates are where we throw our nets. Don't mess around or you won't have it long.
Bak fisherman here, one tip to cast further is to have more line our when yoy cast. I match the weight to the halfway point of my rod and that works good for me
LOJO - as always -> another great video; I love catfishing; I have a jon boat project going-on and one of the main objectives is a build for catfishing; love your content and would love to see a catch & cook
we fish the neuse here, pretty swift water. we use 80 pound braid to 80 pound mono leader with a Santee setup. keep the hook from snagging the bottom, and we see the catfish tend to strike and go up, not down. we use a sinker slide rig with 6-10 ounce coin weights, and let the rig drift out a bit.we use size 8 octopus hooks from gamakatzu. for the rod, you got to get the "whip in the tip" to get it out there. we use chicken breast, chicken gizzards, shrimp, and chicken breast/gizzard marinated in creamy zesty italian salad dressing for about 3 days. wish i could put pictures in here. we catch 14 pound plus. wife caught her PB 14 pounder, and her personal best bag of 25 pounds in 1 night. monster fighters.
Love watching you guys switch up what your going after, would look at using a break away leader for your weight as that is usually what get's stuck in the rocks.
Hey brother I absolutely love your videos. they have taught me so much in fishing. I don't think I would have made 8t this far forgot you. You have helped catch the p_b. Bass and all I can hope is it to repay you bother. I'm from Oklahoma. And the best thang I have used for catfishing. Is crawdad or perch. Just for the way I've been fishing for catfish in Oklahoma. Maby it will bring you some luck.
Try using surf weights, it's a lead weight that has wires run through it that are bent like a leg, the wires will grab onto the rocks but keep your weight from getting wedged and if you do get snagged just put some pressure on the line and the wire will bend and release the weight and you don't lose your rig and just take a pair of pliers and bend the wire back to shape
Try letting a little more line out when your casting maybe another foot or 2. Let it swing a few times before you cast and wait for that good momentum to build then follow through and your cast will get further, i had the same problems and a guy showed me one night while surf casting his technique and it helped me cast further.
I really like this type of material. You should keep going back because sooner or later youre gonna catch a monster in there. That would be really cool to see.
Killing it Lojo! We are winding down on the last week or two of striper season over here in Ny. You would LOOOVVVE hooking into some of these river monsters. We actually get annoyed if we catch a 15 pound catfish, we got a couple 30 + pound bass today. My father put a few videos up on his channel @ Dan Wheeler of the past few weekends. If you are ever up my way around mid may, I can absolutely guarantee to put you on some 35 plus inch fish. A guy up the tracks from us got a 55 pounder last year.
I’ve been sick for over a month now. Watching the vids makes me feel a little less bad about missing the good fishing weather we’ve had here recently 😂
LOJOOOOOO! YES MAN! LOVIN THE CONTENT! KEEP YOUR POLES UP AN CASTIN' BROTHER. ABC.. ALWAYS BE CASTING! GETZ THAT MONSTER OUTA THA WATER AN INTO YOUR HANDS!
Lojo god bless you and yours. And your path and trail in this life you are a big inspiration to me and many others...lov u big bro ...ps moms pass 3.29.23
You know you can lay the livers out on a plate uncovered in the refrigerator overnight and that will help it to stay on the hook. They don’t fall apart
LOJO use the drone to cast it out..... They actually sell a drone for fishing that u can hook leader too and has a release button for leader...... Also get magic thread for bait it keeps it on the hook
I'm going to go with the marshmallows don't work! LOL you shoulda put that shad on there and casted it out! Wish you woulda caught a giant though on the mellow! next time try hot dogs! LOL
Yes there are lots of other fish in there bro . When they are not generating late in evenings or night take some minnows & corks & you can catch crappie some big ones there is lights somewhat coming off the dam . Also redworms or wigglers right beside the wall tight lining. You can catch pretty good bream & shellcrackers . Enjoying your show bro i just subbed to your channel so new Subscriber here man keep on catching lol 😆
Chicken livers with some garlic liquid attraction will work great. Or some cut bait! Try to use a bigger hook at the bottom and a smaller hook on the top to see which one they’ll get hooked on better
I pull bass after bass out of the same spot. They get bigger the better I get but I have lost the thrill. This awesome! I wanna go outside my safe spot and go different species. Watching you go full rookie has been awesome!!!
Carry a bit of oatmeal with you . Toss a small handful give it time. Then throw net. Sometime it takes a few handfuls you will see them hitting then throw. Lol love the 16 ft. Used to throw one then went and got old , can still throw but not using lures. To many times with lures
I'm happy you did another marshmallow fishing video. I've watched the last 2 that you posted using them. I bought some today to try and use tomorrow because of your videos. Plus I made some strawberry jello chicken to try too. Lol
I've been fishing 4 times and haven't caught a single fish. It's videos like this that make me remember it's called fishing not catching.. love the content.
Love the vid! Next challenge you have to use the 15ft rod to try and catch some bass, imagine flipping with that thing or trying to throw a buzz bait with it😂
As someone who grew up on that lake, chicken gizzards always pull in the catfish there. Y’all should fish drag nasty creek or the sunken bridge next time you’re there.
Should we do a catch cream cook here??
Yes do a catch and cook with Darrell. And by the way catfish are not bottom feeders they are an ambush fish they eat gizzard shad any bait fish. From muscles to clams and bluegills
I'm hoping the cream is tartar sauce. 😂
I don't know what a cream cook is, but you have my attention sir
Lojo .... you need to hook up with 618 fishing. He is the spillway master... I think that you would have fun fishing together
My bad I meant a catch and cook
618 fishing vibes with that thumbnail. 😎
That’s my boy !! 👊💪
That's facts
I love 618 guy
618 is awesome, and so is Lojo. Must admit I've been big sad since the Ayo split though. Their chemistry while fishing n filming was amazing.
But 618 doesn’t give me motion sickness while watching on the big screen

Dude. Forget the marshmallows.
Use chicken livers on a 6/0 circle hook and use magic thread to keep it on the hooks. For flatheads use live bluegills or bluegill heads.
Some catch and cook with neighbor Darrel is always classic . Love the videos
Yes sir uncle lojo🎣🎣
“Andrew 2, #1 Andrew in my heart” 🤪🤪 shots fired lol
8:28 - LOJO, you gotta kick that habit! 🤣
For your problems with the line getting cut I would recommend using mono because that has way more cut resistance that is what I always use it it works great
I agree, never use braid around rocks
You think so? I can bite through mono and cut it with cheap old nail clippers, but I can’t say the same about my braided line. Haven’t gone over 20 pounds for either so maybe the larger line makes a difference, but from my experience braided is far more cut resistant.
@@Tagerrun it cuts wayyyy easier on rocks
Love the spillway fishing! The first guys you ran into were smoke'n them things!
12:20 number 1 Andrew in my heart 😂😂
I always love blessing people with some fish I caught when I'm on 'em. I live in Mississippi so everyone loves to eat some bass, bream, and cats.
Right next to that wall their are multiple bait fish swimming ! And their are more ways down on the far side for more fish ! Good luck down their !
Fished here in '88 on leave from Ft. McClellan. We went downstream to see if we could catch a bass or two. There was a copperhead behind a downed tree blocking the trail. That was hilarious and incredible what a vast assortment of knowledge people layed on you guys amazing video as always I can't wait for the next one
Awesome vid. Water temps just hit 53 by me so I'm going home Monday to do some fishing on Tuesday.
Always a good day when LOJO posts 🤙
Rather SUX Tho with no AYO and Norm.
@@xippzap still good videos just not as awesome.
I kinda like SOLO JO or SO LOJO 🤷🏾♂️
I do my best 👊
I actually like this LOJO and Andrew thing. I like sololojo. MOJOJOJO!!
23:55… by far the funniest thing he’s done in any video… 😂😂😂
I'd love to try a baitcaster there with some 20lb on it. Fish in those back currents downstream. I use mine down here on the Mississippi. Get some monster cats carp and buffalo on it. Might want to try some garden dut crawler's next time too. Though the mellows are doing pretty good.👍😄
Love all lojo videos
Heyyy that me Blake and hunter with you from the damn, had a blast man, let us know when you go again!!
Lojo using a pole vaulting pole with marshmallows is one of the goofiest things I’ve seen in fishing and enjoyed every moment of it💯💯💯
In heavy current, get down a bit and cast up toward the outlets and let it drift past you. Real in and repeat. Use the drift. It works. That old fishermen yall met at that spill way gave yall free knowledge cant beat it
Let’s go!! I would love to see a catch, clean, cook… anywhere brother! Grinding all day! Cheers y’all 💪🐟😎

Lojo I HIGHLY recommend a cast net with a 3/16 mesh. You’ll catch all type of baits and different sizes.
Awesome , love to see smth else to fish beside bass ! GJ Love u LOJO

By the way the first fish you caught was a bull head and those types of catfish normally don’t get very big so the one you can was them fully grown
Was a channel cat 100%.
Love watching you guys switch up what your going after, would look at using a break away leader for your weight as that is usually what get's stuck in the rocks.

You can get and big catfish on the bream. Also some big bass

To cast further with that 15ft rod try dropping your weight down to between the second and third guide from the bottom. You should get more distance
We do that when surf fishing
I really like this type of material. You should keep going back because sooner or later youre gonna catch a monster in there. That would be really cool to see.
Need to try fishing up on them holes along the wall during what your calling slack water and cast along the holes during discharge
Hey Lojo try putting bells on the rods so you can cast while ur catfishing. That's how most people rock it in the Wisconsin
Fishing in my neck of the woods. I love it. Keep it up!
Lojo committed to bringing the content. Thank you for the adventures, keep at it!
Thank you brother

hey lojo ive been looking for good fishing combos so if u could help me out and name some bait casters and rods to use no limit on money thanks
I fish at lake pikawick spillway. Yeah, when they let that water out ot rises quickly lol. But the fish start feeding.
Awesome video man! Love the content! Can we get a step by step on how to rig up the line with the 2 hooks and a sinker?
Should try chicken liver and wrap yarn around the liver on the hook to help it stay on otherwise it’s impossible. Otherwise beef liver works as well.

Can't believe the amount of trash left. People need to keep fishing area's clean. Great video as always
Here in northeast Oklahoma when generators kick on people go out to snag spoonbill and some folks throw spooks to catch some monster stripers.
