I love hearing the birds in the background in the water hitting up against a canoe. Makes remember the days when I was young in the boat with my parents and I miss those days.
You realize how inspirational you are, right John🙏🏼❣️ i have so much more fun fishing like you, no ego but joy in abundance. Its fun that you sneak off❣️
Nice float trip ! Disappointed that we didn't get to meet your Dad. All the people in your life are important to you and therefore to us also. We love CFA ! Always be careful. Randy B.
I just found you on UA-cam while looking for fishing videos, and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience. I've been Lodge Lead at Dick's Sporting Goods for about 6 months and am learning so much from you. Growing up, dad taught me how to fish using spincasters and rooster tails, so I'm a VERY basic fisherwoman, though I know enough to be dangerous. Bought me my first baitcaster a couple of weeks ago and CAN'T. WAIT. to start using it! Ohio weather sux right now, but legit Spring is coming! There's nothing like being outside enjoying nature...fishing, kayaking, hiking, it's ALL good! Thanks again! PS. It's really cool seeing you use some of the stuff we sell. We don't sell Nikko, and I wish we did because it looks like those lures KILL Bass. Pretty cool to watch. 😎
I’m sure it takes a while to edit , and don’t want to miss the nice days you could be fishing , can edit on rainy day or real windy days great videos keep them coming when you have time to edit , can learn a lot watching your videos and the things you try and figure out. Thanks for videos
Those spots are so much fun to catch. Its amazing how much a few hours or a day can change the bite. Friday night was amazing, multiple fish over 4 lbs caught and numerous others jumped and tossed the lure. Even ended up with 3 big crappie. I tried the same thing the next night and managed one crappie and not a single bass. The last month has been as many amazing days as it has rough days when you just can't figure out what they want. It has definitely been a good month when a 21 incher is too small to cull a fish from the top 5!
Whew hoo - 132K subscribers now! Went fishing at my favorite local pond yesterday - we'd just gotten 2-3 inches of rain the past week - didn't get a bite! Bummer, but still relaxing and enjoyable.
Another great choice turned video. Sometimes you just need to get out and catch some fish. Love when they're thumping buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Or any topwater lures. River looked peaceful ..good decision. Blessings John
You can rig those magdrafts with a small stinger hook , put it on the top side if u do. As it's less likely to get the fish in the gills and not hurt the fish
Nice work as usual John. I like these impromptu trips they’re more like mine. I get an open slot in my schedule pick a spot and jump on it. Sometimes a good known spot sometimes exploring new water either way fun times keep up the good work brother!
While wade fishing I have thrown a buzzbait with no hits. When I come back an hour later I have had a hit almost on every cast. They definately hit it more late or real early. I washoping you would toss a few more times at the end. I enjoy your channel.
Ice is almost off the lake, and the creek is low enough for me to get the yak under the bridges. Should be doing an outing next weekend. I saw your lifejacket and purchased a chinook as I was experiencing neck pain on the 8 hour outings from the seat backrest shoving my lifejacket into my neck. Thanks for this content while I wait for spring here in Canada. I was kayaking in April last year, but this winter has been a long one.
The buzz bait on your thumbnail is similar to one of my favourites. The Cavitron. I have about 8 of them in my box, in various sizes and weights. The only issue with them where I like to fish is that pike absolutely hammer it and bend the crap out of them. But it is, by far, my favourite, especially on overcast, calm water days.
John, Great Video and Outstanding Fishing. Throwing a buzz bait will make 'em mad . Thanks for sharing, I appreciate your hard work and time and knowledge and wisdom and experience. God Has Blessed You. Thanks Again and God Bless You.
I just subbed you , been binging a little bit but I’d like to thank you for inspiring me to get a kayak and fish some of these creeks around here in the Texas Hill Country. 💯🙏👍
Have to top water it while you can! Great looking stretch of water you were on. Thanks for sharing. Definitely have to pick up some of those hellgrammites and compare them to other brand!
Your videos are so enjoyable. Im out of action due to a torn bicep tendon. Should be back fishing by the end of May. Have a couple of creeks around me and I'll use ultra lite rod for some physical therapy
Like that you have been using baitcasters more, try using a Shimano CURADO DC with the 8.5:1 gearing for your buzz baits, keeps you from wearing your wrists out.
Big baits have enough drawing power to get fish to bite even when they’re in a negative mood. Sometimes that negative mood will have them short striking.
Great video! I've never had any confidence in a buzzbait but I might give them another try this summer. Also do you find yourself using the front or rear anchor more on the rvr?
@@CreekFishingAdventures no actually John. The whole video seemed just unbelievably clear on my end. That's good. Maybe you're just getting better at taking the videos
I always wonder why you don't use buzz baits more. They are so versatile, you can drag them across logs and cast them just about anywhere without getting hung up. If I had to pick just 1 bait either creek fishing or lake fishing for bass the buzz bait is what i would take. Besides that who doesn't like to see an explosion on top water.
Another awesome video. So looking forward to some topwater action. A little farther north than you, so it should be starting about now! Nice evasive maneuvers with the tree during the backlash too! 😂
Thank you John. What is the name/brand of that lure? Does it work well in pressured waters? My goal this year is to catch one fish. I'm 66 years old and bank fishing getting harder for me. I totally enjoy your vids.
John, this looks like a stream that you could have easily used a pedal drive. I was wondering why you would give up the freedom of your hands and a pedal drive to use a kayak with a paddle. Just my opinion, but anytime I could use a pedal drive I would be doing it.
LOL That dog followed me 3 miles on that river last summer chasing a raccoon. I got close to the bank once and I thought the raccoon was going to jump in my boat.
John I heard you mention them a couple months back but those Covert spinnerbaits are quickly becoming my go-to spinnerbait. I’m going to throw it more in some skinny water this year instead of some of the stuff I’ve been using in years past.
so, here's a question that may be politically incorrect, but i'm hoping to be forgiven by anyone who's offended. do you do catch and cook on smallies or other fish in your area? i'm always looking for new ways to fix fish, and i've never cooked a smallie before, or a spotted bass, or a large mouth...plenty of crappie, perch, and bluegill, but i am curious how folks in WV fix their fisheses...
Enjoy your videos, but when fishing with top water bait why not share the action with your viewers. Keep the videos coming, reminds me of my youth living on the creeks.
John I have a bluesky pro angler 360(a pontoon style) but still classified a kayay. Because of my injuries don't have the flexibility the use a regular kayak. Have to have launches to get in and out or easier acess no steep banks. Could the river your were on be be fished in something like That. I have motor guide XI3 55lbs 33in kakay shaft GPS&spotloc so the motor head does not stick way down below the kayak and it is easily raised. Little info for disabled vet🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎣🎣🛶🛶

Can’t wait to see you do the ozark creek and pond kit. Keep the videos coming, keeps me motivated to fish my Kentucky creeks

well i just started using baitcasters a year ago, i am still learning fishing myself
Where’s there a Dicks that sells fishing gear? I live in Mason/West Chester area and ours don’t sell anything for fishing 🤷♂️
@@ivanwesley8182 I live in Hilliard, about 10 or so miles west of Columbus. All the ones in Columbus sell it.
Nice peacefully place to be.When you want peace and quiet.Good fishing. Thanks for the video 🙏
Great video. Beautiful river and nice bass. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Thank you John for a great little float down stream with some good action. God Bless and GO KATS!!!!!!!!!!

This video has a great picture. Way to slay them

A very nice afternoon on the water.
Couple of tough spots, but you still managed to catch fish.
Real surprised to see the rock bass.
Buzzbaits are my favorite lure to use. Seeing a strike is as fun as feeling one. New sub. Love your videos!
Your casting skills are amazing.
Man glad this one worked out and we got to share it with you. Well done!
Love the videos man. Im about to head out right now to do some creek fishing.
Enjoyed the video John, got me excited to start using the buzz bait , thanks for sharing 🎣🙂
Great video as always! Appreciate you taking us along buddy.
I love creek fishing…. Just feel like I’m always trespassing lol

its so hard when the weather is finally nice

Here in northeast Alabama they just started hitting topwater right now.
Did you get some new cameras done? Everything looks so much clearer. Nice fish. Maybe it's just the day
no its the same, oh im using my phone when holding the fish
@@CreekFishingAdventures no actually John. The whole video seemed just unbelievably clear on my end. That's good. Maybe you're just getting better at taking the videos
lets go another banger vid
I would like a creek fishing adventures video everyday please so maybe let’s hire someone to do the editing &you just stay fishing! Haha
You should follow up with a fluke, underspin , or trick worm, the mag draft draws them
Funny seeing U see a baitcast rod and reel !!! :)

Where did you get those yellow tinted glasses @ 6:40
is thst a war eagle?i hsve a white one.i changed the skirt to sexy mouse.on cadt 6 i nsiled a 4.5 pound largie.20 feet from shore
yes it is
I would enjoy video of the equipment you use and the set up for your vidoes
Try slowing your retrieve down or putting random speed changes in the retrieve, they are short striking it.
Some say when the fish repeatedly swipe at a bait, it's the color. So try lighter or darker colors.
thanks

Great video beautiful place very nice fishing how long did it take to get good with a baitcaster
love this.
You need a Power Pole and a Fish Finder on that Kayak!
what pound line did you use today
What kayak is that?
Keep up the great content! I enjoy watching you videos!
Where can I get that creek shirt you’re wearing? I see it’s not in the store you have linked.
dont have any at this time, hope to have them back soon
Hey brother, I just got back from the lower ocoee and there's huge fish going nuts there. Idk if it's muskie but it'd be a cool video to watch!
there is also a lot of fish that move upstream tp spawn and they go crazy
new friends are here to watch 👍👉🔔
Another fun spontaneous trip John do you ever keep some to eat ???
not often
Where is this, chickamauga dam ??
I love your videos, but i never know where you're at 😂
Good times
When do we get to meet your Dad ?

@9:05 no one noticed the warning cry from Big Foot?
LOL That dog followed me 3 miles on that river last summer chasing a raccoon. I got close to the bank once and I thought the raccoon was going to jump in my boat.
haha, thats funny
Dude idk if it's the new kayak or what but the camera is really bouncy.
Go fish 🎣
Thats my dog she loves hunting the river bank . Her name is Momma dog .
If you have a bait they just won't grab, change speeds during the same retrieve.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... what the *HECK* do those fish think that thing is?!
Sweet vid!
haha, i wish we could read a fishs mind
@@CreekFishingAdventures Haha, I don't know if that would be better or worse! 😂
What is your t-shirt size
Slow down on your retrivol let the fish have time to get it in thar mouth taeke you time see what happens dont ruch it😊

yes i have been loving them
I've always had better luck with a creature trailer instead of a skirt on my Buzzbaits ! Just my personal opinion!

you've got some amazingly beautiful pieces of water to fish, young man. you are truly blessed in that regard.
i do many catch and cooks because i dont like to clean the fish, all the bass taste good

Do you ever just go fishing and not take a camera just to go fishing and enjoy what your doing and look at what our lord has made
I'm sure he does every time he goes. He doesn't show everything. I'm sure he's just sitting and relaxing saying, Wow! How great is God!
occasionally, i try to not get to caught up in my fishing and recording to just appreciate the time out there
